One Ride Is STILL Dominating the Disney World Wait Times

We’re back again this weekend for another look at wait times across Disney World!

Welcome to Disney World!

We saw wait times continue to drop a little lower this week, likely helped by the weather, and the end of the spring break season. Let’s take a closer look to see which park had the longest wait!

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom waits were a little lower this week — not by much, but we’ll take those extra minutes when we can get them! This week, Splash Mountain had the top time in Magic Kingdom with 59 minutes!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is seating every row!

Other long waits in the park included Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with an average line of 48 minutes, Jungle Cruise clocking in with 38 minutes on average, Space Mountain at 33 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight and Pirates of the Caribbean with 31 minutes, and Astro Orbiter at 30 minutes.

The wildest ride!

Wait times in the 20s included Big Thunder Mountain at 29 minutes, it’s a small world at 26 minutes, Mickey’s PhilarMagic at 25 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 23 minutes and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel clocking in at 22 minutes.

Small World, Huh?

Wait times in the teens included Haunted Mansion with 19 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 18 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid with an average of 17 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Dumbo, and Country Bear Jamboree at 16 minutes, Mad Tea Party at 13 minutes, Barnstormer coming in at 12 minutes, and Carousel of Progress with 10 minutes.

Spin your partner round and round! And round…

As we saw last week, Enchanted Tiki Room and the Liberty Square Riverboat ran continuously and posted an average of 0 wait time.

We found some new ways to get snacks in Magic Kingdom this week!

EPCOT

The battle for the longest wait in this park was a little closer than usual this week, with Test Track and Soarin’ neck and neck. Test Track narrowly won out with the longest average wait of 46 minutes, with Soarin’ a very close second at 44 minutes.

Test Track

The next highest waits (no surprises here) were Frozen Ever After averaging 40 minutes, and Mission: Space averaging  39 minutes. Another close one!

Frozen family!

Other notable times around the park included Spaceship Earth with a 25-minute wait, Journey Into Imagination at 14 minutes, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 13 minutes.

A very pretty view of the Imagination Pavilion!

Everything else in the park was under a 10-minute wait, including Living with the Land (9 minutes) and Gran Fiesta Tour (7 minutes), as well as the films and shows around World Showcase, which run continuously and retained a zero wait.

We spotted some wild stuff this week in EPCOT you don’t wanna miss!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Though the overall average wait time dropped, the longest line in Disney’s Animal Kingdom was not even close this week: Flight of Passage clocked in with a 54-minute wait.

Everything else in the park was fairly manageable, with the next longest average wait coming from the Kilimanjaro Safaris which clocked in with a 41-minute average. After that, Na’vi River Journey ranks next at 33 minutes, followed by Dinosaur at 32 minutes.

You never know who you’ll spot!

Waits in the 20s included It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 24 minutes, and Kali River Rapids at 22 minutes.

Rounding out the park, Expedition Everest carried an average 19-minute wait, and Triceratop Spin came in with an average 7-minute wait. Per usual, the exploration trails required no wait time.

We had a pretty festive week in Animal Kingdom!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We saved this park for last because honestly, who didn’t see this one coming? Slinky Dog Dash once again tops Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the longest wait and was the longest average wait in Disney World this week at 62 minutes.

The next highest ride in the park was Tower of Terror, this week clocking an average wait of 54 minutes. The next closest ride was Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 44 minutes.

Still one of the newer rides in WDW!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway was next closest at 38 minutes, followed by Rock’N’Roller Coaster at 35 minutes.

Time to jam!

There were several wait times in the 20s this week including Toy Story Mania and Muppet Vision 3D both averaging 27 minutes, followed by Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy and Alien Swirling Saucers which both average a 26-minute wait. Finally, Star Tours averaged a 25-minute wait.

You should probably save that snack for AFTER you ride

Bringing up the rear with the lowest wait in the park was the show Walt Disney Presents which averaged 15 minutes. Though Rise of the Resistance was also operating this week, we don’t track the wait since it operates on the virtual queue system.

Check Out Who We Saw in Hollywood Studios This Week!

Overall, it feels as though wait times are stabilizing and getting back to how things looked pre-Spring Break. We’ll be keeping an eye out as we’re expecting another bump as summer begins and vacationers start making their way to Disney again!
