Our Tips and Tricks for Getting Disneyland Tickets and Reservations Tomorrow!

We’re just a couple of weeks away from the April 30th, a.k.a. historic reopening of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park! Not only that, but Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will also welcome guests back for the first time in over a year on April 29th.

In preparation for the big day, a number of tickets and reservations will become available TOMORROW, April 15th. Are you ready?

Theme Park Tickets Go On Sale

The big event tomorrow will be the launch of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme park ticket sales. The tickets will go on sale no earlier than 8AM PT on the 15th. The virtual queue will likely open up a little before 8AM, so be sure to check Disneyland’s website a little ahead of 8AM.

You will need a Disney account in order to purchase tickets. This is the first time that guests will be able to purchase new tickets in quite some time, and Disney has broken down what each ticket type will be available and at what cost:

Keep in mind that certain ticket types are subject to blockout datesThe only 1-Day ticket types that currently have no block out dates are Disney’s 1-Day Tier 5 tickets — so if you want to have your pick of when to visit Disneyland, you’ll need a Tier 5 ticket! Disney has stated on their website that the 1-Day ticket calendar will be visible to guests when purchasing tickets in order to help make their decision on which ticket type to purchase.

Remember that at this time, theme park admission is limited to only California residents, and travel parties may not contain more than three households. There are additional requirements to remember tomorrow, which we’ll go over next!

Park Reservations Become Available For New Ticket Purchases

It will not be enough to just purchase theme park tickets tomorrow. Not only will you need valid theme park admission, but you will also need to secure a Park Reservation in order to visit Disneyland upon reopening. Reservations will be available TOMORROW for all guests purchasing tickets. Reservations have been available since Monday, April 12th for guests with previously purchased tickets.

Disney has not disclosed the exact details on the mechanics behind purchasing a ticket and then making a corresponding Park Reservation, but we’re anticipating the system is very similar to what we’ve experienced at Disney World. You will need to purchase your tickets, THEN book your Park Reservation separately — your ticket will not count solely as your reservation!

While we’ve been covering Disney World’s Park Pass Reservation System for nearly a year now, Disneyland’s system could end up being a bit different! We’ll keep an eye on how the system launches tomorrow and we’ll bring you all the latest details.

Grand Californian Reservations Open Up

If you want to stay overnight during your Disneyland visit, you can begin booking rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa beginning on April 15th as well!

Disney has stated that an overnight stay at one of the Disneyland resort properties will NOT guarantee park entry, and that guests staying at the Grand Californian will still be required to make separate Park Reservations in order to access the parks.

When the Grand Californian reopens on April 29th, a number of amenities will be available, including several dining options. Guests can visit Hearthstone Lounge, GCH Craftsman Grill, and GCH Craftsman Bar.
