Greetings, World Travelers, from a bright and sunny day at EPCOT! We had a quiet day at the park today, but we still found some things we’d like to share with you. Let’s get started! When we entered the park, we noticed that additional “Points of Light” had been installed on Spaceship Earth facing the park entrance. There are quite a few more there now than there were when we first saw these appear here last week. On World Showcase […]

The Rare Disney Character We Did NOT Expect To See Today!

ICYMI, Disneyland Resort officially reopens its theme parks to California residents on Friday!!!

So pretty… sigh

Today, we were able to attend a preview of the reopening so we’ve been taking you with us to check out what a reopened Disneyland looks like. We saw if there were any changes to Rise of the Resistance here, and we showed you the return of Disneyland Mickey beignets, churros, and the famous Monte Cristo!

While we were exploring the park for the first time in over a year, there were many classic characters out and about like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and several princesses. But, there was one character we passed that we were equally excited and shocked to see!

It was Miguel from Disney and Pixar’s Coco!

Miguel! Long time no see!

Miguel was waving to guests as they walked by, and it certainly put a smile on our face today! He was on a platform with tons of colorful flags from the movie above him.

In Disney World, we’ve only seen Miguel in puppet form for The Story of Coco (which is not currently running), but he was in the Magic Happens Parade in Disneyland! Even though the parade is not happening right now, it is good to see this character in the parks. We’ll continue to bring you updates from Disneyland and we’ll take you with us live on reopening day so stay tuned!

PHOTOS: New “Space Remnants” Pavement & Lampposts Added to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure

lamps and pavement guardians

Excitement is ramping up heading into this week’s reopening of both Disney parks in California, and new touches are still being discovered all over, even in the pavement. The pavement surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! now has these “space remnants”. The “space remnants” have a geologic pattern with blue, purple, red, and gold hues. They can be found on the streets and sidewalks surrounding Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! and lead all the way up […]

PHOTOS! First Look At The NEW White Castle Near Disney World!

Here at DFB, we’re constantly talking about all the new restaurants coming to Disney World!

We’re here!!!

We’re speculating about places like Roundup Rodeo BBQ and Space 220 (will it EVER open?!) and we’re anxiously awaiting October 1st so we can dine at La Creperie de Paris in EPCOT. However, there are several off-property restaurants coming soon that we’re excited to check out, and today we got to do just that!

Today, we stopped by a preview of the new White Castle location in Orlando. This spot doesn’t open until later this week, but we were invited to check it out a little early.

Enter? Don’t mind if we do…

This brand-new restaurant just so happens to be the largest White Castle in the world, and boy, is it BIG! Even with socially-distanced tables, there are still PLENTY of places to sit. And LOADS of big windows to let in a lot of natural light!

TONS of space!

The atmosphere is certainly more upscale than we expected. It’s a step up from a lot of fast food joints we’ve eaten at! There are even TVs available so you can munch on those little burgers of joy while watching your favorite show. It’s got a casual vibe, but it’s light and airy, too.

Watch TV while we munch…

There are plenty of screen stations for you to order your meal!

Choose from a variety of those little burgers, shakes, fries, drinks, and more!

Registers

And get this — you can even buy White Castle Merchandise! So if you want to commemorate your visit with a t-shirt, you can!

Get a t-shirt while you’re here…

While we were there, we had to try some sliders of course!

We also ordered a chocolate milkshake. They do NOT play around with the sizes here! This is a medium for only $3.49, and it is super shareable!

And last but not least, we tried theFudge-Dipped Cheesecake on a stick! We’ll be bringing you a full review of everything we tried at this event, so stay tuned.

If you’ve got a hankering for sliders, then head on over here to this new spot in Orlando! In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for the latest food news from Walt Disney World!
