Comic Review – Big Surprises Await the Dark Lord of the Sith on Exegol in “Star Wars: Darth Vader” (2020) #11

I love Marvel’s current run of Star Wars comics set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, but it’s very rare that I get so invested in a single issue that I’m left shaking with sheer geeked-out energy by its conclusion. That happened to me today with Star Wars: Darth […]

United Kingdom Pavilion Relaxation Station Moving to Morocco This Weekend at EPCOT

The mask-free relaxation station at the United Kingdom Pavilion will be relocating to the Morocco Pavilion on April 30th. As crowds continue to return to Walt Disney World Resort, additional capacity is sought around the parks. The current relaxation station, a place for guests to sit and take a break from their face masks, uses the seating area for the Yorkshire County Fish Shop. By moving the station to the Morocco Pavilion, Disney can free up some dining space. Several […]

Buying a Disneyland Churro Looks a Little Different Right Now

We’re BACK inside a full Disneyland theme park for the first time in over a year! While we’ve had plenty of fun exploring Disney California Adventure sans rides and attractions for A Touch of Disney, this week is all about the Happiest Place on Earth — Disneyland Park!

Sleeping Beauty Castle

And when it comes to celebrating all things Disneyland, one MUST eat a Disneyland churro! So what’s the current situation if you want one of these iconic snacks if you want to grab one on your next visit?

We stopped by the Churro Stand to the right of Sleeping Beauty Castle (it feels SO GOOD to say that again!) to see for ourselves if anything was different!

Churro Stand

After you order your churro, the Cast Member will have you stand on a socially distanced dot to wait for your snack. This is very similar to what we’ve seen in Disney World with some Counter Service locations. Then, your churros come each in their own bag. If you order multiple churros, you’ll have them served in multiple bags! To reduce any contact between guests and Cast Members, the bags are placed on the table for you to grab.

Churros

The final step is one we’re all familiar with…enjoy your Disneyland churros!

Be sure to keep following along as we continue to cover Disneyland’s historic reopening this week!

PHOTOS: What to Expect When Waiting in Ride Lines at Disneyland Resort

We’re sharing all the important details with you about the historic reopening of Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland

Prior to its reopening, a list of all the rides that would be available to guests was revealed. Now, with social distancing guidelines in place, we’re giving you a look at how ride queues are operating in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure right now.

Previously, Disneyland had specifically shared details about how the virtual queue would work for Rise of the Resistance. But what about the other rides?! Well, here’s what we’re seeing.

Who’s ready for the Incredicoaster?!

As per California’s theme park reopening guidelines, all queues for attractions and rides must be outdoors. Social distancing is to be enforced, and it was recommended that plexiglass should be installed to ensure that guests are properly spaced. Additionally, the guidelines noted that guests are prohibited from eating and drinking while waiting in a ride queue, as we’ve previously seen in Disney World.

Disney California Adventure Park

While waiting in line for Pirates of the Caribbean, we noticed a handful of safety guidelines. We were spaced six feet apart from other guests, as expected. There were markings on the ground indicating where each party should stand.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Once seated at the attraction, we noticed that larger parties were given their own boats and smaller parties were spaced several rows apart.

On attractions with smaller ride vehicles like Splash Mountain, parties were seated in their own vehicles. You can see how guests were spaced on the Main Street Trolley too — a row in between parties.

Main Street Vehicles

As a note, these socially distanced queues do stretch into unusual areas and MUCH farther than they normally would – especially since all lines have to be outdoors. Here you can see that the Indiana Jones Adventure line stretches all the way to 21 Royal.

As we continue to explore a reopened Disneyland, we’ll be sure to share all the important updates you need to know. Stay tuned for the latest news!

PHOTOS: Progress on EPCOT’s New Gelato Cart Hits a MAJOR Milestone

Earlier today, we told you that EPCOT’s new gelato spot officially has a name!

EPCOT

Disney also announced that Gelateria Toscana is opening in May (that’s next month, people) in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion. We’ve been following the construction since the project was announced in 2019, and we are SO ready for an assortment of gelato, sorbetti, and tiramisù. And when we were walkin’ by the construction zone today, we noticed something HUGE!

We’ve been able to see the building peeking up over the construction walls for quite a while now, but when we passed by today, we spotted something new. Any guesses?

Spot anything?

It’s the Gelateria Toscana sign! Now that the gelato cart’s name has been revealed, the official sign is up for all to see. And we think it looks AWESOME.

It’s the SIGN!

So what’ll be up for grabs here? Up to 12 different varieties of gelato and sorbet, of course! You can take a peek at the menu below.

We’re SO excited for Gelateria Toscana to officially be open. Its refreshing offerings will be very welcome in the hot summer months, won’t they? Stay tuned to DFB for more updates on this project!

PHOTOS: Hello Again, Disneyland. We Missed You.

After a closure that spanned over 400 days, we are officially back in Disneyland! We’ve been exploring the fully reopened parks, rides and all, for the first time in thirteen months and we honestly didn’t know where to visit first!

Disneyland

Once we paused and thought about it, we knew we couldn’t let this day go by without visiting some of Disneyland’s most iconic locations. So join us on a little photo tour as we say “hello” once again to some of our favorite spots in the Happiest Place on Earth.

Main Street, U.S.A.

You want to know what makes us cry? Passing underneath this quote as we walk onto Main Street, U.S.A.. This is when we knew it was real… .

We’re not crying, you’re crying!

But then after we’ve walked down Main Street and we see the Partners Statue after ALL THIS TIME, we’re just practically sobbing at this point, aren’t we?

The man and the mouse who made it all happen

And then THERE SHE IS — our beautiful Sleeping Beauty Castle! Was she always this pretty, or is it us?

So pretty… sigh

Adventureland

And we’re off on an adventure! Did we skip through this entrance? Maybe… .

Adventure…is out there!

Frontierland

Yee-haw! We’re off to Frontierland. And this sign just says “WELCOME BACK!”

Come on, pardner.

New Orleans Square

So the Haunted Mansion was closed, but we still got goosebumps seeing it again. We can’t wait to ride it and see all the new updates!

Welcome, foolish mortals

Mickey’s Toontown

Choo choo! The train has arrived at Mickey’s ToonTown!

We’re in Toontown!

Be sure to follow along for more coverage of the historic reopening of the Disneyland Resort!

Why You NEED to Book Your Halloween Disney World Trip Right NOW

It’s not even summer yet, but we’re already thinking about spooky season!

Halloween at Magic Kingdom 2020

Even though Disney has not yet announced if Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will return this year, fall remains a popular time to visit the parks. There are plenty of pumpkin-inspired treats, the weather is great, and you’ve got a chance to see some pretty cool characters! But if you want to visit the parks on October 31st, you’d better start planning.

Disney currently requires a Park Pass reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket in order to visit. These reservations tend to go FAST, especially for holidays or other peak times! Such is the case for Halloween at Magic Kingdom, which is full for both Theme Park Ticket Guests

©Disney

…and Resort Guests.

©Disney

Annual Passholders, on the other hand, do still have full availability. But that could disappear soon, so act fast!

©Disney

If you wanted a Park Pass for Halloween and feel like you’ve missed your chance, don’t worry! Disney tends to release more passes as time goes on. Keep checking the availability calendar — and we’ll keep you posted here, too. Good luck snagging that reservation!
