The Darth Vader Souvenir Cup Is Returning to Disney World Soon!

There’s a MASSIVE Star Wars holiday coming up soon!

Darth Vader Valentine

May the 4th!!! That is officially known as Star Wars day, and in case you don’t get it — it’s because May the 4th sounds a lot like “May the Force” (be with you) and it’s traditionally become a day that Star Wars fans celebrate their favorite movie and TV franchise!

And Disney usually goes ALL out with Star Wars day. Last year, the company released a TON of new Star Wars merchandise and released Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to Disney+. This year, Disney World has already announced a HOST of new snacks arriving in the parks for the special day. AND Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located, is already booked full on May 4th!

These stormtroopers would like to have a word with you…

The good news is you won’t have to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get this epic Star Wars souvenir cup! And Disney is bringing back the Darth Vader Stein, which you can grab with a fountain drink in lots of locations on May 4th and 5th. After the 5th, it will be available at Backlot Express, ABC Commissary, Rosie’s All-American Cafe

We saw this stein pop up in 2018, at which time the price was $12.99 with a fountain drink.

Between this and all the new treats that are being released — we’re pretty jazzed.

Out-of-State Guests CAN Visit Universal Hollywood — Here’s How

Universal Studios Hollywood has officially reopened!

Ready to Go Inside?!

And after an addendum was added to California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, specifying that “fully vaccinated persons from out of state may visit or attend activities or events that are restricted to in-state visitors,” there have been LOTS of questions about who can visit these reopened theme parks. Disneyland has already specified that out-of-state guests will not be permitted inside the parks, despite this addendum. But Universal Studios Hollywood is a different story.

Language on Universal Studios Hollywood’s website now specifies that guests who are fully vaccinated may visit from out-of-state. It adds that proof of vaccination, as well as a photo ID, will be required for park entry.

Further details specify that, interestingly enough, only out-of-state guests ages 16 and over will be allowed in the parks. This is because children under 16 cannot currently receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and the California addendum emphasizes that only fully vaccinated out-of-state visitors may participate in these types of activities.

Out-of-state guests will only be able to purchase tickets at the front gate, if capacity allows. Acceptable proof of vaccination includes a vaccination card or a photo of the vaccination card, or documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider. You will need to show this documentation at the time of purchase.

Let’s Go to Universal Studios Hollywood!

In short: if you are fully vaccinated (and thus over the age of 16), you’re now eligible to visit Universal Studios Hollywood! Note that Disneyland’s policy still states that only California residents may attend. We’ll keep you posted if that changes, though, so stay tuned to DFB!

Disneyland Resort Cast Members Honored for 50 and 55 Years of Service

PHOTOS: Monorail Station Supports Painted Pink at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

polynesian-04-28-16

Some very noticeable changes have happened amidst the construction of the new Monorail station and porte-cochère at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort since our last check-in. Construction platforms have been removed from atop the porte-cochère pillars. The pillars and connecting beams have all been encased in concrete. As for the Monorail station, it’s hard to miss the pink paint that has been added to the front row of support columns. Based on the concept art (below), we guess that this pink […]

PHOTOS & VIDEOS: We’re LIVE From Inside Disneyland!

We’re live from Disneyland Resort today as select groups were allowed into Disneyland Park for a preview ahead of the reopening this Friday. Things are likely going to look pretty different from our last visit to the parks in early 2020, and we’re here to get you ALL the updates.

Disneyland

Today, we’re going to take a look at new procedures, crowds, wait times, and more! Let’s dive in to find out what going to Disneyland is like now!

We will be updating this post throughout the day, so be sure to check back.

Arriving at Disneyland Resort

We have to say, Disneyland welcoming guests again was quite the sight to see.

Guess we better grab a map! We might know Disneyland like the back of our hands, but it’s been a while!

Disneyland Map

We noticed that the ticket booths and scan-in points had added barriers to protect Cast Members and guests in the tight space.

Entrance Points

But the process was about the same as it’s always been and soon we were in!

Disneyland Reopening

Hello, Disneyland Park!

Health Measures

We started to spot a few health measures right when we entered. Physical distancing signage was placed regularly.

There are also Designated Dining Areas; this is a departure from the way dining is handled in Disney World.

And we spotted some heavy-duty handwashing stations too. These are fancyyyyyy!

Attractions

Right when we walked in, we were greeted by the familiar sight of the Main Street Trolley clip-cloppin’ along.

Main Street Vehicles

And the Disneyland Railroad was running too!

On the Train

As you can see, a LOT has changed at Disneyland with the reopening. Remember, we’ll be updating this post throughout the day so be sure to keep checking in!
