Did you even go to Disney World if you didn’t eat SOMETHING Mickey-shaped?!
Kringla Bakeri og Kafe
Whether you go for something classic like the Mickey Pretzel or something more unique like the hidden Mickey cupcake, it is a right of passage to have a Mickey-shaped snack at some point during your visit to Disney World. Today we stopped by Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion to try a couple of new menu items!
We were strolling around World Showcase bringing you the latest updates from EPCOT when we noticed a menu item we hadn’t seen before: the Chocolate Mickey Tart. Then, we peeked at the drink menu where we saw a FROZEN Viking Coffee, and we were very intrigued!
Menu
Okay, this bakery is known for some pretty amazing sweets from the iconic School Bread and Pretzels, but the two menu items we tried today REALLY impressed us! They were both sweet, but not too sweet which is hard to find in Disney World sometimes.
We started with the Chocolate Mickey Tart and it was NOT what we were expecting at all! At first glance, we thought it would have more of a brownie-like texture, but it was more dry like a biscuit.
Chocolate Mickey Tart
Disney treats are known for being overly sweet a lot of the time, but this tart was not and it was SO refreshing. Chocolate desserts in particular can be very rich and hard to finish by yourself, but this treat did not give us that issue!
Another Mickey-Shaped Treat!
The top layer reminded us of mousse except it was a bit thicker. It had the same cocoa powder taste as the tart, and we thought the sprinkles added a cute and crunchy touch to the tart as a whole. We’ve seen our fair share of Mickey-shaped tarts in Disney World, but we loved this one and its texture is pretty unique!
Biscuit-like texture
Onto the Frozen Viking Coffee — we absolutely LOVED this drink! The hot Viking Coffee has been around for a long time, but we have been longing for a frozen version for a while! We had to pose our Viking Coffee by the Viking statue of course!
Frozen Viking Coffee by the Viking Statue!
This coffee is made with Baileys Irish Cream and Kamora Coffee Liqueur with Coffee-Chocolate Sauce and is garnished with Coffee-Chocolate Crunch. YUM!
BOOZY frozen coffee!
Our coffee was pretty strong and we could taste the booze a lot. For being boozy coffee, this was not overly sweet at all which (like we said for the tart) is a nice change! The coffee-chocolate crunch garnish had a wafer-like consistency and it added a nice crunch. Our reporter said she would absolutely buy this again on another visit to EPCOT.
The tart is
$4.29 making it a great deal for what you get, and the coffee is available boozy for
$13 or non-alcoholic for
$5.99. If you are looking for a break from the overly sweet treats in Disney World, head to
Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in EPCOT! We’ll continue to bring you the latest Disney food news so stay tuned!
