All Disney Stores in Canada to Close This Summer

According to Retail Insider, all 18 Disney Store locations in Canada will close by the end of the summer. This move comes after Disney announced in March that 20% of all Disney Stores in North America would be closing for good. Two Canadian Disney Stores were on the list of closing locations released in March. The remaining 18 locations are now rumored to be next. Disney is said to be paying out any money owed on leases to facilitate speedy […]

Disney World wait times for Monday, April 26, 2021

It was another beautiful day in Orlando, and another day of relatively low crowds at all four Disney parks.  EPCOT’s average wait times were 13th-highest of the past month, but I just got back from EPCOT and it looks like posted waits vastly overstated the actual waits in line.  Also, there’s still some great food to be had at Flower & Garden.

We counted 483 of 500 guests (97%) at Magic Kingdom wearing masks according to Disney’s mask guidelines.  And we’ve got 315 actual wait times so far today from our fabulous Lines community! Let’s do the rest of the numbers!

Magic Kingdom Wait Times

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin had an average wait time today of 27 minutes. Its 7-day average is 29 minutes, so today ranks #5 for this week. Its 30-day average is 36 minutes, so today ranks #25 for the past month. Its 365-day average is 30 minutes, so today ranks #181 for the past year. We received 14 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 57% of the posted wait time.

Rise of the Resistance had one of its worst days in recent memory today, getting to boarding group 131 before the day ended, well below its goal of 160+ boarding groups.  It looks like Rise of the Resistance had two long delays today – over an hour delay in between calling boarding groups 38 and 40; and a delay of what looks like about 90 minutes around boarding group 52.

REVIEW: How Does Disney World’s New Pulled Pork Mac Stack Up Against Flame Tree BBQ?

It’s the start of another wonderful week in Disney World! And, you know that means there are new drinks and snacks calling our names throughout the parks and resorts!

This lobby gets us every time

We recently brought you with us to give you updates on what’s new at some of the Disney World resorts, but today we visited Disney’s Wilderness Lodge where we tried a NEW menu item!

We hope you’re hungry because the Lumberjack Platter isn’t a meal for the faint of heart! The plate is piled up with pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, corn bread, and coleslaw as the heftiest snack this side of the Wilderness Lodge!

Lumberjack Platter

For $11.99, the Lumberjack Platter fits its name for sure. The serving was HUGE for the price, and it could easily be shared with others. The smallest portion on the plate was the slice of cornbread, while the largest was the pork (a meat lover’s dream).

Anybody Else Practically Drooling?

The coleslaw had a great crunch to it with a kick of flavor and texture to go with the pork and gooey cheese…

Pork, Cheese, Coleslaw, and Corn Bread? Oh My!

…compared to the macaroni that was soft without being overcooked or mushy. The cornbread was even baked well with a soft center, avoiding the woes of bread that’s too dry!

Corn Bread, BB!

We would have liked a bit more of seasoning on the pork, but it was still tender and gave a bit of saltiness to the other standout flavors of the platter.

Pork!!

It wasn’t the absolute BEST BBQ we’ve had in Disney World (Flame Tree‘s still holding out for us), but was an awesome choice for a counter-service meal! If you’re looking for some sort of variety apart from the chicken nuggets and burgers you would find at any other run-of-the-mill restaurant, the Roaring Fork should be towards the top of your list with the Lumberjack Platter during your next visit.

Lumberjack Platter

We didn’t spot the platter on the hanging menu in the restaurant…

Roaring Fork Menu

…but it was available through Mobile Order on My Disney Experience. So, just keep that in mind before you place your order.

Mobile Order Menu

Oh, and you could also treat yourself to a s’mores treat for desserts while you’re at the Roaring Fork! That’s a double win to us! 😉 In the meantime, stay tuned with DFB for the latest news and reviews!
