Review: A Disney World Hotel Is Hiding Some Seriously Underrated Mac and Cheese

Move over, Flame Tree Barbecue: we found some more really good mac and cheese in Disney World.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

You may know that we LOVE our cheese here at DFB. Whether that’s grilled cheese, plastic cheese, cheesecake…we’ll take what we can get! So of course, we’ve gotta tell you about an underrated — but super tasty — mac and cheese over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

At Beach Club Marketplace, you’ll find Baked Macaroni and Cheese with TONS of different topping options! You can choose from bacon, beef chili, chili, and pulled pork toppings — or opt for plain pasta.

We chose the Pulled Pork-Topped Baked Macaroni and Cheese! It’s a Cavatappi pasta with a five-cheese blend, topped with pulled pork. You’ll also get sprinkled shredded cheese, sliced green onions, breaded topping, and a few fun goldfish (we ARE at the Beach Club, after all)!

Pulled Pork-Topped Baked Mac and Cheese

We LOVED this. The macaroni and cheese wasn’t super gooey, but it was still nice and cheesy! That baked casserole had perfectly crunchy breadcrumbs on top. YUM.

So. Good.

The toppings were great, too! The green onions were a nice plus. The pulled pork was flavorful, and it had some extra cheese on it (we’ll take it!). The juicy sauce mixed into it was fantastic — but if you want even more punch, you can get a side of barbecue sauce, too!

Pork and onions = fantastic!

As for the goldfish…well, we didn’t really feel like they were needed. While they’re cute for the kids’ portion of this meal, they were a little stale and not-too-necessary for the entree portion.

Cute…but we could go without!

This was very rich, and it’ll fill ya right up! If you’re a baked mac and cheese fan, you’re sure to love one of the ways you can get this meal topped. Just keep in mind: this isn’t your super creamy mac and cheese. It’s baked! So it won’t be ooey-gooey, but you’ll still get that deliciously cheesy taste.

Check out that CHEESE!

Each of the topped options (including the pulled pork version!) is $10.99 — or, you can get the baked mac and cheese plain for $8.99. If you’ve got a cheesy craving, we HIGHLY recommend this. Enjoy, and stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
