REVIEW: Is It Weird That We Can’t Stop Sniffing Disney World’s New Cookie?

It’s a brand-new month, which means it’s time for a brand-new cookie at Gideon’s Bakehouse!

One of our favorite places at Disney Springs, Gideon’s Bakehouse!

March brought a trifecta of monthly specialties to our favorite sweets spot, so April has some pretty big shoes to fill! This month, Gideon’s is taking part in what they describe on their Instagram as “a month-long celebration of Florida.”

Of course, Florida is known far and wide for its oranges, so it only makes sense to have an orange-inspired cookie when celebrating the state! For the month of April, you can be just like Stuart Valencia and enjoy the Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie.

April Menu

Just who exactly is Stuart Valencia? According to Gideon’s, he’s a “pale, sickly boy” who ate one too many oranges to counteract his “deathly pallor.”

The habit transformed him into “part orange tree and part forever boy,” and he himself has brought the latest cookie recipe to Gideon’s Bakehouse for the month of April!

So how did Stuart Valencia do in concocting this month’s cookie craze in Disney Springs?

Gideon’s Box

As we mentioned, this month’s cookie is the Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie and it is a sight to behold.

This treat is Gideon’s Vanilla Bean Cookie Dough infused with Orange and mixed with Dark Chocolates.

The outside is coated in South Florida Pecan Pralines and Candied Orange Peel. YUM.

And did it taste as good as it sounds? YES. The orange smell and flavor are on the strong side, so if you love orange, it’s a must.

It kind of reminds us of the orange chocolate you get around Christmastime. And seriously, that smell is STRONG.

The pecans offer a nice crunch but beware, the cookie is on the sticky side from the candied oranges. Have those napkins ready! If you’re not into orange flavors, you might want to skip this one since that is the main feature.

The Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie will be around all month long, so be sure to grab one for $6 if you’re curious next time you’re visiting Disney Springs!
