It’s hard to believe it, but Easter is THIS Sunday, and we’ve been LOVING all the seasonal treats around Walt Disney World!
We’ve tried Peeps donuts, bunny cakes, a BOOZY bourbon bunny, and LOTS of sweets with animal butts, and today, YEP, we tried ANOTHER Easter-inspired treat!
We found the Easter EGGS-traordinaire Cupcake at Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! This Easter egg hunt as a cupcake is a Vanilla Cupcake with Lemon Filling, Vanilla Buttercream, Assorted Candy Eggs, Jellybeans, and Wildflower Quins.
It really does look like an Easter egg hunt with the brown frosting, but it’s still vanilla!
This cupcake was definitely festive and cute, but after you take your pictures for the ‘gram, but the flavors are a little on the bland side. The lemon filling was the MOST underwhelming part. It was more like a curd with a gelatin-like texture. It was also overwhelmingly T-A-R-T tart, tart, TART, and that tartness makes this a little less kid-friendly than other Disney World cupcakes.
If you’re a lemon fan, we’d recommend heading over to Boardwalk Bakery for their Easter Cupcake. That lemon curd was MUCH, MUCH better! In fact, it was so good, we want it to stick around ALL year!
However, if you find yourself at Landscape of Flavors and really, really want something seasonal or just love so-tart-it-makes-your-mouth-pucker lemon, well, you may be willing to give this a try. But we’ll be skipping this one. Hopefully, our next Easter treat is better, and whether or not it is, we’ll let you know what we find!
