Just like that, the month of March has come to a close! It has been quite a wild month, from the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival kicking off to TONS of theme park news (including the long-awaited reopening announcement of Disneyland!).

Over at Disney World, it was a FULL month of food and beverages, from festivals to seasonal holiday treats to everything in between! Before we leap into April, let’s take a look back at some of the best and worst snacks we had across Disney World for the past month!
The Best:
Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites — Sunshine Griddle
At the tippy-top of our Best list for the month of March are the Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites from the new Sunshine Griddle booth at the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival!

The entire menu at Sunshine Griddle went above and beyond, but these bite-sized sweets stole the show! They deservedly earned a spot on our Best of the Fest list, with their soft and gooey center encased in a warm, crunchy outer shell. It’s an all-around WIN in our book!

We fully endorse ordering anything and everything from Sunshine Griddle; just make sure you include these Cinnamon Roll Bites for $4.25! The festival is sticking around until July 5th, so we have a few more months to enjoy this dish!

Blueberry Mickey Waffle Platter — Hollywood Scoops
Mickey Waffles are a long-standing Disney World must-have! Seriously, if you spend a week in Disney World and you didn’t start your morning off with a plate of Mickey Waffles…were you even there? And guess what! Hollywood Scoops has started serving their own Waffle Platter.

We were blown away when we learned that they weren’t serving your everyday Mickey Waffles — they serve Blueberry Mickey Waffles! Way to go Disney for taking one of our favorite breakfast items and making them even sweeter!
YUM.
These aren’t around all the time, however! They’re only served until 11AM, and only on those busiest of days in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (which seems to be happening a lot more lately, wouldn’t you agree?). Be sure to check on Hollywood Scoops to see if they’re being served on your next visit! They’ll cost ya $9.50.

Berbere Flank Steak Flatbread — Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
We wanted to make sure we let you know about one of our favorite SAVORY dishes we tried this month in Disney World! We’re big fans of anything and everything secret menus at Disney World, so when we learned about the newest one at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs, we knew he had to check it out. What we didn’t realize, however, was that the menu DID include a brand-new flatbread!
Berbere Flank Steak Flatbread
That’s when we discovered the dynamite duo that is the Berbere Flank Steak Flatbread with a side of French Fries! The flatbread had just the right amount of heat from the African spices and peppers and was LOADED with flavor. And trust us, these are among the best French Fries on Disney World property!
We NEEDED these fries.
There was a variety of secret menu drinks as well, so be sure to ask about these tasty items when you stop by Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar! The flatbread is available on the regular menu for $9.

Carrot Cake Cupcake — Flame Tree Barbecue
We’ve been trying a wide array of Easter-themed treats around Disney World this month, many of which are — you guessed it — carrot cake-inspired. If you’re a fan of carrot cake, there’s plenty to choose from! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is where you’ll want to visit to order the Carrot Cake Cupcake.
It’s Thumper!
It seems rather unassuming, but this was definitely among the tastiest desserts we’ve had this month! Skip over the Thumper medallion on top and just dive right into this soft, fluffy, and oh-so-tasty carrot cake and cream cheese frosting delight!

Mrs. Incredible Float — Marketplace Snacks
At the beginning of March, we tried a series of treats in celebration of Women’s History Month! Our travels brought us to Disney Springs, where we tried out the new Mrs. Incredible Dole Whip Float from Marketplace Snacks.
We are LOVIN’ this new treat!
We’re always game to try the latest Dole Whip Float, and this one could be one of our all-time favorites! This variety of Dole Whip Float comes with strawberry and lemon Dole Whip, black cherry lemonade, and a twisty souvenir straw!

Both tart and refreshing without being too sweet (it tasted just like lemonade!), this was surely one incredible Dole Whip Float (hehehe see what we did there?). We wish Disney would keep these dynamite Dole Whip Floats around for eternity, but the variety is what keeps things interesting! This float was available for $9.99.

Easter Cupcake — BoardWalk Bakery
We had to throw in one more cupcake for you today! This treat snuck in at the last minute to earn a spot on our list of the best things we ate in the month of March! Over at BoardWalk Bakery, we had the Easter Cupcake for breakfast — and it was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a while!

Disney World really knows how to crank out those seasonal, limited-time cupcakes, but we wish this one would become a regular menu item all year round! The frosting-to-cake ratio was near perfect, but what really won us over was the lemon curd filling.

It’s not every day that we come across a non-chocolate cupcake on the lighter end of the sweet spectrum that we would gladly eat over and over again! You can find this at BoardWalk Bakery for $5.99.

The Worst:
Flancocho — Amorette’s Patisserie
We’re starting our list of the worst food items we ate this month over at Disney Springs. Amorette’s Patisserie is a solid go-to choice if you’re looking for stunning desserts. And while we WILL say that their Flancocho is one of the prettiest treats we saw all month long, the taste just didn’t match up.
Gorgeous, right?!
If this dessert’s taste matched up to how pretty it was, this would have been a solid contender for our “best” list! We found this item to be far too rich to enjoy, and we were not big fans of the dried strawberry on top — a fresh one would have been much better!
We can’t get over how PRETTY it is!
We’re loving all of the specialty treats Disney came out with this year in celebration of Women’s History Month, so we’ll continue to be on the lookout for more monthly snacks in the future. The Flancocho was available this month for $7.

Springtime Popcorn — Hot and Fresh Popcorn Kiosk
For the next item on our Worst list for the month of March, we’re heading over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to revisit their Springtime Popcorn! We came across this colorful bag of treats at one of the Hot and Fresh Popcorn kiosks, and we were instantly drawn to how bright and festive it looked for spring!

We’ve enjoyed sweet popcorn in the past, but the Springtime Popcorn took the sweetness to a level we weren’t quite prepared for. On top of that, the mixture was too sticky for us to enjoy munching on — we’ll stick to our regular popcorn!

Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich — Warming Hut
Our final two items on our Worst list for the Month of March BOTH come from Blizzard Beach. The first Disney World water park to reopen welcomed back guests earlier this month, and we were ready to try all of their unique food items! Unfortunately for us, we ran into a lot of misses during our trip.
Honey Butter Chicken Sammie
Our first stop was at the Warming Hut, where we ate a rather lackluster Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich left us wanting more flavor than what we had, and the bread was one of the crunchiest parts of the sandwich (NOT in a good way).

Served with a bag of chips, you can pick up this meal for your next lunch at Blizzard Beach for $10.49. Although if you ask us, you might be better off snacking throughout the day and then grabbing a meal elsewhere!

Bacon Macaroni & Cheese 1/4 lb All-Beef Hot Dog — Avalunch
Blizzard Beach, unfortunately, gave us a one-two punch when it came to less-than-stellar eats this month. While we did enjoy this dish more than the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich, we were ultimately let down by the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese 1/4 lb All-Beef Hot Dog from Avalunch.
That’s…a lot of mac & cheese.
Mac & Cheese is what we LIVE for, so when we see that a food item comes with a heaping scoop of it on top, it should be an instant win. Even our hot dog-averse reporter was hopeful that the mac & cheese would win them over. Unfortunately, it all came across as bland.

Few things break our hearts as much as bland macaroni and cheese does, so we’ll have to skip this hot dog from now on. It costs $11.49 at Blizzard Beach if you’re curious!
