Vaccination Requirements Announced for Upcoming Disney Cruise Line Sailings

This summer, Disney Cruise Line is set to resume sailing with new Disney Magic at Sea staycation cruises, available exclusively for UK residents.

With these new staycation offerings guests from the UK can set sail for 2, 3, or 4-night adventures. And, as the name “staycation” suggests, guests will stay onboard the Disney Magic throughout the cruise, rather than stopping at ports of call.

Booking for these staycations is set to open April 28th for Golden Oak Club Members, April 29th for Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders, and April 30th for the general public.

Ahead of these booking dates, Disney has released futher information about the health and safety measures that will be in place aboard the ship, as well as guest requirements. Changes onboard the ship will include enhanced cleaning procedures, modified housekeeping, and new air purification systems.

Disney Cruise Line Health and Safety Measures

There are also several important updates for guests, including the requirement that all guests 18 and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the National Health Service (NHS). Disney Cruise Line will contact guests prior to sailing with instructions on how to show proof of their vaccination status.

Guests under 18 are not required to be vaccinated, but must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken between 5 days and 24 hours prior to the sail date.

In addition, all guests, including those who have been vaccinated, are required to undergo an antigen COVID-19 rapid test in the terminal prior to boarding. Anyone testing positive will undergo a second test to verify the results, and those with positive test results, as well as everyone in their travel party, will be denied boarding.

Health Information for Disney Cruise Line UK Staycation Sailings

In addition, a number of other health and safety measures will be implemented onboard, including required face coverings for all Crew Members and guests age 11 and up, reduced capacity, and physical distancing requirements.

We’ll be on the lookout for any additional information about the upcoming UK staycation sailings, so stay tuned for all of the latest updates.
