We Did a Double Take — A Small Detail Is Missing from the Jungle Cruise in Disney World

We’re keeping a close eye on all the changes over at the Jungle Cruise!

Jungle Cruise

ICYMI, the Jungle Cruise in Disney World and Disneyland are both undergoing a BIG reimagining this year. Disney’s adding a new storyline and characters — but what’s super interesting is the Disney World ride is not closing during the refurbishment. So of course, we’ve been riding it plenty to keep you up to date on everything that’s changing! We already noticed that the classic Trader Sam animatronic was removed from the ride…and now we’ve got some more news for ya.

While we were waiting in line to ride, we noticed a few changes to the queue! You may remember that part of the line outside featured a cabinet with some pretty cool details

There’s LOTS to see on this shelf!

…including a pharaoh with Mickey ears!

Hidden Mickey: spotted!

But today, the whole area looked a little different. The cabinet was removed, and the wall was painted GREEN!

Hello, new paint!

Who woulda thought?! Now, we could see that cabinet return — there’s a chance it was removed just for the exterior painting. Or, it could be replaced by something else altogether! But for now, that cool shelf with our favorite Hidden Mickey is gone.

We’ll keep our eyes out and keep ya posted with more Jungle Cruise changes! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news.
