What You Need to Know If You’re Staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies Anytime Soon

Welcome back, Disney’s All-Star Movies! This original Value Resort has reopened after being closed for just over a year. Disney’s Value Resorts tend to be a very popular choice with families who want to be on Disney property, but stay on budget. My preschooler and I visited this week to see the resort’s re-premiere. And, there’s some things you need to know if you’re staying at Disney’s All-Star Movies anytime soon, like spring or summer 2021.

As my son and I arrived to Disney’s All-Star Movies, it was a weird feeling driving past Sports and Music and see them completely fenced off. Both resorts are still closed and only Cast Members are allowed on the premises.

Not much has changed at All-Star Movies as it reopened just a few days ago. The one thing our team has noticed is that all open Value Resorts: Pop Century, Art of Animation, and All-Star Movies now have almost the same exact food menu now. It seems Disney has decided to streamline their ordering of food products to stock these locations and we’ve seen word online that some Cast Members are crossed trained across the three locations so they can be pulled to work wherever needed. Important note, if you can, avoid breakfast at World Premiere Food Court, or get there super early. The difference in crowds between breakfast and lunch is very noticeable.

There are a good amount of outdoor activities at All-Star Movies with a fun playground for little ones, outdoor movies every other night, and two pools. The main pool, Fantasia Pool, is subject to capacity closures. We’ve seen this happen across pretty much all the resorts during these weeks of spring break during peak hours. If the pool area reaches capacity Cast Members take down the name, party size, and phone number of waiting guests to text them when a spot is available, then the guest has 15 minutes to get back to the pool to get their spot.

We do expect this to die down once spring break is over, but All-Star Movies is a popular choice, so it is possible the main pool could fill up even when this period is over. If you are staying at All-Star Movies anytime soon be prepared for some crowds. And if you need help planning your next trip, whether you want to stay at Movies, or need help figuring out which resort to pick, our Travel Team is here to help.
