Welcome back to Magic Kingdom, DFB friends!
We’re back with another update on everything new and exciting at Disney World’s flagship park. Let’s take a look at some new construction, merchandise, and more!
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Sorry, PeopleMover fans! Although the classic Tomorrowland ride was scheduled to reopen last Sunday, it’s STILL closed. It’s currently due to reopen on May 1st! And while we’ve seen some extensive testing in the area, we spotted even more work goin’ on recently. The PeopleMover was moving AND the audio was working!
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that this is a promising sign we’ll finally be able to go for a ride in May.

Over in Fantasyland, there are a few construction walls up! One is by Sir Mickeys, stretching to the entrance of Cinderella’s Royal Table…
…while the other is just past the Wishing Well! We didn’t see anything too exciting goin’ on, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled! After all, with Disney World’s 50th anniversary coming up, lots of work is happening throughout the park.
And speaking of the big 5-0…Cinderella Castle’s 50th anniversary transformation is still taking place! Work recently hit a milestone as all of the draperies were added to the castle. And now, gold crests are being added!
We’ll see these crests on the castle itself, as well as on the turrets and stage lighting booths. And guys, we can’t wait to see what the finished product looks like!

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
In the Emporium, we spotted lots of new finds to share with ya! First of all, there’s a new Monsters University cup! It features a simple clear design with the iconic blue logo. You can grab it for $19.99!
We also found some new ears! Disney’s released quite a few pairs lately, and the newest are hot pink and polka-dotted!
You can grab ’em for $29.99.

And if you’re a Tweed and Pearl ears fan, good news! Those have been restocked.
Speaking of new headwear…if you’ve got a wedding on the way, you may want to snag the new Bride and Groom hats! These baseball caps feature small Mickey and Minnie ears — and they’re perfect for a subtle way to match.
And lastly, if you’re on the hunt for the Class of 2021 and Mothers’ Day MagicBands, they are currently sold out in the parks. That was fast, guys!
The Cast Member we spoke with suggested checking shopDisney — they may pop up there. Best of luck if you’re on the hunt!

Magic Kingdom Additional Updates
We’ve just gotta make your day real quick! You know we’re HUGE fans of Disney ducks here at DFB, and we’ve got a spotting to show ya! Some ducklings were chillin’ in the little stream in front of Rapunzel’s Tower. Adorable, right?!
And in other news, Disney World celebrated Easter last weekend! Of course, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny made their annual appearance for a socially-distanced meet and greet.
They attracted quite the crowd as Mr. Easter Bunny hid eggs for Mrs. Easter Bunny to find!
We were happy to see them out and about — and interacting with all their fans!

Well, that’s all for our trip to Magic Kingdom! As always, we’ll keep an eye out for the latest Disney news and updates for ya. Stay tuned to DFB!
