Headed to Disney World anytime soon?
Whether you are or not, you might want to keep up with the latest updates. We’ve got you! We stopped by Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently to bring you ALL the news in food, construction, and merchandise!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Harambe Market
Though this drink isn’t new, we decided to review the Leopard’s Eye during a visit to Harambe Market. This cocktail is made with Snow Leopard Vodka blended with Kiwi and Passion Fruit Mango.
The color of this drink is SUPER neon green. Warning: It’s a sweet one!

And we’ve got a ketchup update! Earlier this month, it seemed that Heinz was disappearing from around Disney World as the country dealt with a bit of a ketchup shortage.
Now it seems Heinz is making its return. Snack carts and Isle of Java were back to Heinz while Satu’li Canteen and Flame Tree Barbecue still had the replacement Red Gold brand.

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates
Asia
Asia had new prayer flags hung up! They were very bright compared to the old ones because of how much the sun has faded the originals.
Dinoland, U.S.A.
Restaurantosaurus was once again toting some furniture and items on the roof from the research students in the spot’s story.
Africa
There were some major changes to the Kilimanjaro Safaris queue! So far since reopening, stroller parking was near the main entrance of the ride, over by the ice cream cart.
Now, there are signs telling guests to keep their strollers with them. More of the original line queue has opened up where guests are passing each other and weaving through the line.
Once you get to the TVs, they have added plexiglass in the entrance of the covered area…
…and then all down the walkway.
Towards the end of the queue, parties with a stroller are split off to park their stroller and reenter the line just before boarding. This is likely much easier for little ones who are better off riding in such a long line queue!
Discovery Island
Riverside Depot and Island Mercantile both have the new capacity counters installed in the doorways. Cast Members were still manually counting capacity at Riverside Depot but the counter devices seemed to be in use at Island Mercantile.
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Chester & Hester’s
The only new merchandise item we found was over at Chester & Hester’s in Dinoland, U.S.A. And what a GREAT little item it is…
It’s an Autograph Book Keychain for $12.99! We sure miss character meet and greets so this is the perfect souvenir.
