Today is Memorial Day, a national holiday in the U.S., which means quite a few people will be off from work and may have decided to take advantage of the holiday weekend to visit Disney World.

We’ve already shared a look at some Memorial Day treats available in Disney World, and now we’re bringing you all the details about one big thing you might be wondering about…the CROWDS!

With Disney World announcing that capacity has been quietly increasing and will continue to increase over the coming months you might be wondering just what the Memorial Day crowds looked like in the parks.

Today our reporters made their way around the 4 Disney World theme parks to get a look at what was going on for the holiday. Let’s start our crowds tour in Magic Kingdom. On Main Street, U.S.A. there were some decent crowds, but also pockets of empty space.

In Tomorrowland the situation was the same. There were some lines and crowds in certain areas…

…but plenty of space in others.

Surprisingly, the area in Fantasyland that typically has a large crowding issue (near Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world”) was not that bad. There was still a decent amount of space when we walked through.

Near some popular attractions…

…or restaurants, however, we did find some more guests.

The situation was similar over at EPCOT. While there were areas with larger crowds…

…there were also areas with more space.

The area near the Mexico pavilion was quite crowded. This is a pavilion that can get very busy though, so this is not a big surprise.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there were again plenty of areas with lots of space!

Though you could find some more guests in certain places.

In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pandora — The World of Avatar was pretty busy, but again that’s no big surprise.

Other areas in the park had fairly large crowds, but also pockets of empty space.

One of our reporters indicated that the crowds essentially felt like what they would be during a weekend in Disney World. Weekends typically tend to have larger crowds than the weekdays in the parks. There were some places today where we found bigger crowds, and other areas where there was plenty of space. It just depended on where we walked and how the crowds flowed through the space.

And that’s our look at the Memorial Day crowds in Disney World! We’ll continue to look for updates as to the crowds in the parks, especially as summer approaches, and we’ll let you know if we notice any significant changes. Stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news!

There are SO many Disney souvenirs you can get in the parks these days, it can sometimes be difficult to decide which ones you really want to grab. There are ears, spirit jerseys, shoes, and lots more.

But, today we found something VERY unique over in Disneyland Park at Disney Clothiers Ltd. and these items are a LOOK.

As we were walking around Disney Clothiers today in Disneyland Park we spotted something we hadn’t really noticed before — some Disney belts! But these are not ordinary belts that will just hold up your pants or shorts (or maybe dress). NO! These belts have a GIANT belt buckle designs that will make your love for Disney truly unmistakeable the next time someone just takes a glimpse at your outfit!

There were two varieties available from what we saw. One with the Castle design on it…

…and another belt with the Disneyland “D” logo.

The belts come in a variety of sizes and are generally priced at $29.99.

The most similar thing we could find online is this Disney Signature “D” Logo Belt from BoxLunch which is priced at $29.90.

There are some other belts with large designs on them as well on the same website that you can grab.

These are pretty unique! If you love to wear belts with BIG designs on the belt buckle, then these could be just the thing for you. We could see them being pretty fun to add to a solid black dress for example where the castle belt buckle would be the statement piece. No matter how you wear or style them, if you want to grab one you can head over to Disneyland and pick one up!

Disneyland Paris is reopening on June 17th!

It’s been a wild year of openings and closures for this park — but during the latest shutdown, Sleeping Beauty Castle has been getting some spiffying! And a special event let Cast Members become a part of this iconic moment in time.

During the “Part of my Castle” event, over 2,000 Disneyland Paris Cast Members wrote “commemorative letters” highlighting a personal anecdote or their connection to the park. Then, the letters were locked up in a special case and placed in one of the castle’s turrets, so these Cast Members’ words would become a part of this icon. Pretty cool, right?!

Naturally, this was a pretty special event for the Cast Members. You can learn more about it in Disney’s video!

The Ganachery

Disney’s new Cruella movie debuted last week, and we got some stylish new snacks to celebrate! One of those was the XOXO, Cruella ganache pop from The Ganachery.

This treat is white chocolate with cookies and cream ganache, dipped in dark chocolate. We found it to be rich AND tasty! You can grab it for $7 through June 6th.

Amorette’s Patisserie

Speaking of limited-edition Cruella treats…Amorette’s Patisserie has one, too! The Cruella Petit Cake is a whopping $20, and you’ll get vanilla chiffon cake and graham cake with milk chocolate mousse and chocolate chip cookie dough!

This is a fun, light dessert — with a SECRET red velvet flavor! Again, it’s available through June 6th.

Vivoli il Gelato

Now we’re hoppin’ over to Vivoli il Gelato for 2 new treats! The Burgerlato is just what it sounds like — a gelato burger — and comes with a truffle brownie, cake batter gelato, strawberry sauce, and bacon inside an Italian doughnut for $11.

The Scarlet Spider is a little spookier! You’ll get cookies and cream gelato, milk, waffle cone, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, sprinkles, and whipped cream — with a non-edible spider ring.

That snack is $15, and it’s inspired by none other than Black Widow!

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew

At Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, there’s ANOTHER new (and unusual) burger: the B&G Burger! It comes with  2 patties of ground beef, American cheese, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, bread, and pickles on a sweet bun. But for $1 extra, you can get it on a Glazed Donut — so you KNOW that’s what we did!

It’s big and messy and did NOT disappoint! It’s the perfect combo of salty and sweet. Try it for $14 (that includes the $1 up-charge for the donut!).

Marketplace Snacks

Onto Marketplace Snacks for 2 MORE desserts! We’ve got a major taste of summer over here with the new Dole Whip Watermelon Parfait. It’s $5.29 and comes with Watermelon Dole Whip, key lime custard, chocolate chips, and a real watermelon in the shape of Mickey Mouse as a garnish on top.

This wasn’t our favorite Dole Whip variety we’ve tried by far, but fans of the super-sweet may want to give it a try!

We also found a SECRET snack on the menu: a Watermelon Dole Whip Taco! This is a watermelon slice filled with Watermelon Dole Whip and topped with chocolate chips — and again, it wasn’t the best. As usual, that Watermelon Dole Whip was just a bit too sweet.

Time for somethin’ savory! At Morimoto Asia Street Food, we dug into the NEW Buffalo Chicken Egg Roll — which, by the way, is SO good.

Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar

Lastly, we popped by the Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar to try the new 1971-inspired sip: the Perfect Harmony Cocktail! You’ll get a mix of Dry Gin, Orange Curacao Liqueur, Sweet Vermouth, Ginger Ale, and (of course!) Coca-Cola. 

This is a gin-heavy drink, without super strong orange or Coke flavors. But we DID love that groovy souvenir cup!

Disney Springs Additional Updates

As Disney continues to reduce its social distancing guidelines, we’ve noticed stickers being removed around property. Such was the case at the Disney Springs bus stop!

You can see where the markers have been peeled off where guests line up for the buses. We’ll keep an eye out for more social distancing changes around the parks!
