Lots of things are changing in Disney World!
Some things have returned to “normal” (like the return of self-serve drink stations in some locations), an After Hours Halloween event has been announced for this year, and temperature checks are set to be phased out. When it comes to food, some things are changing there too! Recently, 3 Disney World restaurants debuted new/revamped menus and other spots have slightly modified offerings. What places have new items for you to try? We’re breaking it down for you today!
The Plaza Restaurant, Magic Kingdom
First up, we’ve got The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. This spot recently debuted a NEW menu, so we made our way over there to give it a try!
The new Appetizers menu has added Seared Crab Cakes, Chili, a BLT Salad, and more. But don’t worry, those yummy Plaza Loaded Fries are still available.
There’s also a NEW Fried Chicken Sandwich, a Roast Beef Au Jus has replaced the Cheesesteak, and there are some other entree options.
Overall, if you want some straightforward comfort food and that classic, charming Magic Kingdom experience, you might want to hop on over to try the new items at The Plaza Restaurant.

Fairfax Fare
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, 2 restaurants have recently debuted new menus. First, we’ll tackle Fairfax Fare. We noticed that quite a few menu changes had been made at this spot while it was still closed. It reopened recently and we got to try a whole bunch of the new items!
The empanadas, pulled pork, and fajitas are gone from this spot, and in their place are hot dogs! Now, this spot serves up the California BLTA Dog, the Pretzel Dog, the Truffle Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Hot Dog, and the All-Beef Quarter-pounder Hot Dog. There’s also now a plant-based Chicago-style “Hot Dog” Salad.
Looking for some sides? There are new ones here too — Parmesean Chips and Pickled Vegetables!
If you LOVE hot dogs and you want some unique options, you’ll probably want to take a close look at this spot’s updated options!

The Hollywood Brown Derby
Also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Hollywood Brown Derby has received a revamped menu. While we didn’t see too many new things on the appetizer menu, there are quite a lot of changes that have been made when it comes to the entrees.
There are some new dishes to try like the Halibut Veronique and Wild Mushroom Risotto. But, don’t worry — the famous Cobb Salad is still there!
There’s also a “Decadent” Flourless Chocolate Mocha Cake instead of the peppermint option that previously existed.
We’ll be making our way over to the Brown Derby soon to try all of the new options and bring you our review, so be on the lookout for that!

Honorable Mentions
Of course, no list is complete without a few honorable mentions, and we’ve got some to list here. First, while many of the items at the returning dinner at Chef Mickey’s may not be new, they will be served in a new way.
When dinner service at Chef Mickey’s returns it will be served family-style, as opposed to the buffet-style that used to exist here.

The situation is similar over at Cape May Cafe.
While this spot used to have a buffet option for breakfast and dinner, when it reopens both of those meals will be served family-style with some returning and some new items.

A new menu is also coming to the Farmers Feast booth at EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival.
The new menu will include Tomato and Cornbread Panzanella, Barbecue Seared Pork Tenderloin, and Lemon-Ricotta Cheesecake!
