It’s time to check out all the construction projects going on in Disney World right now!
Recently, we’ve seen lots of added (and some removed) construction walls, locations getting repainted, and more. Let’s see what the latest updates are this week!
Magic Kingdom
Fantasyland
Recently, we spotted some construction walls that blocked off the area behind Cinderella Castle near Sir Mickey’s. When we visited Fantasyland this weekend, the walls had been removed! Yay for fewer construction walls!
We didn’t notice any new changes in the area, however.
We’ve seen so many little projects going on in Fantasyland recently, so we’ll be on the lookout for any fresh paint or changes!

TRON Lightcycle Run
Now that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has finally reopened (YAY!!), we were able to get another vantage point of the construction going on at TRON Lightcycle Run.
It’s been a minute since we were able to see the project from this close.
We’re still not sure when this roller coaster will make its debut, but you can be sure we’ll let you know when we find out!

Cinderella Castle Stage
The stage in front of Cinderella Castle has made some serious progress since the beginning of its journey (which feels like such a long time ago already!).
After plywood and distracting metal pieces, this stage is finally looking like a stage again. Nice.

EPCOT
Gelateria Toscana
This week, we got big news about the upcoming gelato kiosk in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion! Its official name, Gelateria Toscana, was shared (along with its menu). Now, a sign on the kiosk reflects that!
The kiosk is still blocked by a construction wall, but we can’t wait to get our hands on some new desserts later this month!

Disney Resorts
Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve hotel is the upcoming addition to the Swan and Dolphin Resort. The new resort will be 14 stories tall, housing more than 300 guest rooms once it’s completed. We checked in on its construction!
The modern resort is going to offer incredible, expansive views of Walt Disney World. That’s no surprise, considering its floor-to-ceiling windows!
The resort is currently accepting reservations and is expected to open later this year.

Walt Disney World Welcome Sign
The many welcome signs around Walt Disney World property have been receiving updates to match the resort’s new color scheme as it prepares for its 50th Anniversary. Lots of signs have been completed already, and now the sign at EPCOT Center Drive is getting refreshed as well.
Minnie Mouse, here, is covered in plastic to prepare for the work being done on the sign.
We’ll be checking in on these signs as we continue to visit the parks!
Valet Parking is Coming BACK to Disney World Resorts!
Transportation and Ticket Center
Speaking of new paint, the Transportation and Ticket Center (the transportation hub to get to Magic Kingdom) saw some fresh updates this week. Specifically, the EPCOT Monorail sign got a fresh coat of paint!
For now, the EPCOT monorail line remains closed.
