With only a few short weeks until Disney California Adventure’s June 4th opening of Avengers Campus, Disney Parks Blog shows us what we can expect to chow down on after a long day of superhero training.

Pym Test Kitchen

Pym Test Kitchen is the main dining at Avenger’s Campus. Inspired by the “Pym Particles” used to grow and shrink Ant-Man and The Wasp, this quick-service restaurant offers both super-sized and shrunken versions of some of your favorite foods.

Breakfast

• Calculated Breakfast = E x 2 + (B+P)/T – Eggs Two Ways with smoked bacon, crispy potato bites, and focaccia toast 
• Impossible Quantum Garden Breakfast – Plant-based folded omelet with Impossible breakfast sausage, crispy potato bites, and focaccia toast
• Ever-Expanding Cinna-Pym Toast – Baked Pym particle bread and egg custard with cinnamon-sugar topping, a fried egg, smoked bacon, and maple syrup
• Spoonful of Cereal – Bran flakes and raisins garnished with a yogurt-covered pretzel and served with reduced-fat milk and a ripe banana
• Nano Eggs-periment 101 – Softly arranged eggs and turkey bacon with toast (for small beings ages 3 through 9)
• Cinna-Pym Mini Toast – Warm toasted cinnamon Pym particle bread with turkey bacon and maple syrup (for small beings ages 3 through 9)

Snacks and Sips

• Quantum Pretzel – 453.8 grams, Bavarian-style pretzel with sharp cheddar-beer sauce
• Atomic Fusion Pretzel – Buffalo-style pretzel loaded with chicken, hot sauce, ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, celery, and dill-pickled carrots
• Pingo Doce – Refreshing lemon-lime with a vanilla kick! This distinctly green beverage from Avenger lore available exclusively at Avengers Campus.
• Proton PB&J Punch – Minute Maid Lemonade with peanut butter and strawberry flavors, PB-infused whipped cream, and PB pretzel spheres

Blue Particle Specials

• Pym-ini – Salami, rosemary ham, Provolone, sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia with marinara dipping sauce and arugula salad 
• Not So Little Chicken Sandwich – Fried chicken breast, teriyaki and red chili sauces, pickled cabbage slaw on brioche with crispy potato bites
• PB³ Superb Sandwich – Warm PB&J with banana, candied bacon on Pym particle bread, with micro banana smoothie and crispy potato bites
• Caesar Salad + Colossal Crouton – Hearts of romaine, Kalamata olives, pickled onions, Caesar dressing, garlic crouton and Parmesan crisps
• Impossible Spoonful – Rigatoni and ditalini pastas, plant-based meat-balls, tomato sauce, dairy-free Parmesan, and micro basil
• Choco Smash CANDY Bar – Dark chocolate, peanuts, caramel, nougat, and chocolate brownie

Your younger superheroes have not been forgotten. These mini-meals include a Cuties mandarin orange, Dannon Yogurt, and choice of small low-fat milk or small DASANI Water (except Mini Pasta & Impossible Meat-balls).

• Teeny Pym-ini – Toasted ham and provolone sandwich with marinara dipping sauce
• Subatomic Chicken Sandwich – Crispy breaded chicken breast on a soft roll
• PB&J Flavor Lab: Assemble Your Own Experiment – Smooth peanut butter, strawberry jelly, and Pym particle bread
• Mini Pasta & Impossible Meat-balls – Rigatoni and ditalini pastas, plant-based meat-balls, tomato sauce and dairy-free Parmesan served with coconut milk yogurt and small DASANI water

Pym Tasting Lab (mobile order available)

You can find the Pym Tasting Lab next door to Pym Test Kitchen. This is the place for unique drinks such as craft beers and particle-infused cocktails. I’m not sure how I feel about habanero syrup in my drink, but I’ve definitely got my eye on the Honey Buzz.

• Honey Buzz – Gin, lemon juice, and honey syrup with a honey straw
• X-Periment –Tequila, Minute Maid Lime Juice, mango, and habanero syrups with mango popping pearls
• Honey Fusion – Gin, Minute Maid Lemonade, honey syrup, IPA, and a honey straw
• Molecular Meltdown – Marshmallow milk stout and vanilla ice cream topped with miniature marshmallows
• The Regulator –Tequila, Minute Maid Lime Juice, mango and habanero syrup, wheat ale, and mango popping pearls
• Particle Fizz –Hard Seltzer with cherry pearls
• Draft beer, hard seltzer, and wine
• Snack Molecules – Mini pretzels, honey roasted peanuts, and sweet & spicy popped sorghum

Shawarma Palace (mobile order available)

In honor of Tony Stark’s favorite “shawarma joint” in New York, Shawarma Palace has opened a new location at Avenger’s Campus. This cart features not only a chicken shawarma wrap, but those looking for a plant-based option can feast on the Impossible Victory Falafel wrap.

• New York’s Tastiest – Chicken shawarma wrap, garlic spread, and coconut yogurt-tahini sauce with pickled vegetables
• Impossible Victory Falafel – Plant-based-falafel and cauliflower wrap, garlic spread, hummus and coconut yogurt-tahini sauce with pickled vegetables

Terran Treats

Terran Treats is your place to go with your superhero sweet tooth. This cart is located near Guardian’s of the Galaxy- Mission: BREAKOUT. Here you will find two unique treats, the Cosmic Cream Orb, and Sweet Spiral Ration.

• Cosmic Cream Orb – Crispy cream puff with whipped raspberry cheesecake mousse
• Sweet Spiral Ration – Churro spirals with unique flavors

Novelties

In case you’re looking for some souvenirs to round out your visit, Avengers Campus has you covered on those too.

Hello from Disneyland!

We’ve been visiting regularly since the park’s reopening to keep you up to date on any changes that may affect your trip. And today, we noticed that it was CROWDED! Now, Disneyland is still required to operate at 25% capacity based on Orange County’s COVID-19 case count (and various other factors), so we have not seen a capacity increase recently. Still, we’re taking you along to see just how crazy things are lookin’ today!

We first noticed the congestion as we were trying to park. Traffic was closed to the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure entrance because of how backed up it was.

We were redirected away from Mickey and Friends before entering the garage via the Pixar Pals Parking Structure. From there, we were rerouted into Mickey and Friends to park. Phew! The whole process took us about 45 minutes.

There was also a REALLY long line for security…

…as well as general crowding in the structure.

But once we were out of the garage, the walk to the gates seemed fine…

…and there were short lines at the gates themselves!

Inside Disneyland, we noticed a fair share of guests at the Hub, with Main Street Vehicles driving by simultaneously. It created a bit of a traffic jam!

But the park felt emptier elsewhere.

In Frontierland, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad had a 25 minute wait.

Meanwhile, the wait for Pirates of the Caribbean was 40 minutes! Again, the park didn’t feel too full here.

As we mentioned, Disneyland is currently unable to increase capacity per California’s current restrictions. Once we got inside the park, the crowds didn’t seem too bad, but you will want to be aware of the congestion that can take place while parking/at the front of the park. We’ll keep you posted with plenty more updates from Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB!

Marketplace at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

If you’ve been over to the Marketplace in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you’ve probably encountered some SUPER long lines to entire the small area with its limited capacity. But, those days of long waits are officially OVER! The Marketplace is now operated with a virtual queue as guests are able to scan the QR code available to choice the waitlist, submit their party’s size, and wait for the confirmation text.

It’s about time!

The Marketplace is roped off in the meantime, where guests can keep their masks off prior to entering. But, once they are in the Marketplace, they will need to put their face coverings back on. After you receive your return text, a Cast Member will direct you to the Marketplace with signs also available.

Originally, we were projected to have a 90 minute wait, but it took us less than 40 minutes during a busy time of the day to receive our return text! The virtual queue is a helpful solution to the otherwise super long waits that would generally be in the area.

Now that we’ve seen virtual queues at the Marketplace, Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, and (of course) Rise of the Resistance, we’ll be on the lookout for any others!

Attractions

Now that Disney World has changed its mask policy and reduced distancing measures, entertainment around the parks will also be seeing modifications. While we saw changes at the Festival of the Lion King already, two shows in Disney’s Hollywood Studios have adapted their seating arrangements. One Man’s Dream at the Walt Disney Presents theater now asks guests to leave one seat between empty groups with no rows blocked off.

Previously, the theater used to have every row blocked off with three seats blocked off in each open row after every four available seats.

Yet, that isn’t the only other show with modifications in place in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong is also welcoming more guests now with no distancing markers on seats. No distancing markers were on seats, but guests were seated in every other row and told to leave one seat open between groups.

Yet, additional guests were directed to fill the empty rows, if necessary. Performers were still distanced from each other onstage, and Anna and Elsa didn’t include their hug at the end.

At the end of the show, Cast Members told each row when they were able to leave, as each row was directed one at a time.

Temperature Checks

As guests enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios, temperature checks are no longer required. Instead of walking across the median to enter the tents for temperature checks…

…now guests are entering the parks similar to how they did during the pre-closure procedures.

Of course, those aren’t the only major health and safety modifications recently!

Face Masks

Now that Disney World has changed its mask policy, ALL guests (regardless of their vaccination statuses) are able to go maskless outdoors.

However, there are specific times that masks are required in Disney World. Face coverings are still necessary upon entering and throughout all attractions, in all theaters (including theater entrances), in all transportation (including transportation entrances), and in all indoor locations (including restaurants, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary).

So, it’s important to continue to keep your masks handy when you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the other Disney World parks! We recommend bringing a face mask chain with you for easy access without the worry of losing your mask while you’re exploring.

Ever wondered what happens AFTER Monsters, Inc.?

Well, Disney’s got the answer! A brand-new Monsters Inc. series, Monsters at Work, has been in the works since 2019, and we’re getting EXCITED for its release on July 2nd. Sure, we’ve got lots of other Disney shows to look forward to, but we’ve got a feeling this one will be chock-full of nostalgia. And now, we’ve got a sneak peek at it!

First of all, let’s recap what this show’s all about. It takes place after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant starts running on laughter instead of screams. It follows Tylor Tuskmon, a new monster who graduated as top scarer from Monsters University…but who realizes “scaring is out and laughter is in.” Sounds like quite the predicament!
