Shhhh! We’ve Got Another SECRET Menu Drink To Share With You At Disney World!

We’re big fans of secret menu things, maybe because it makes us feel all special and like we’re part of an elite Disney crowd.

We’re digging it…get it?

Of course, we will TOTALLY share all those secrets with you, because, hey, we’re all friends here. That’s why we’ve told you about secret menu guacamole, Galaxy loaded fries, seven layer cake, and a pork belly burger! And now we’ve got another one to share, so lean in close because we’re going to whisper it.

So today, we were at the Restaurantosaurus Lounge and the bartender there, Jimmy, tipped us off on a new secret menu drink. Now Jimmy hasn’t steered us wrong on secret menu items, including the Raspberry Fizz and Tealasaurus he’s made for us. So we were all in when he made us a Cretaceous Cooler. And as you can see, it’s not on the menu here.

Menu

The Cretaceous Cooler is Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Blue Curacao, Midori, and Pineapple Juice. But here’s the thing — it isn’t really NEW because it used to be served as a pre-mixed drink (and it was a lot more yellow then). Here’s what it looked like way back in 2017. It’s kinda’ icky looking, right?

VERY yellow

It looks WAY better now and more photogenic with that slice of pineapple on top. AND we’re here to tell you that it tastes way better, too, when it’s made by a bartender with fresh ingredients and a smile!

It’s so green

It still has that mix of sweet and tart flavors going on, though, so yes, we’re digging it! It is a pretty sweet drink and very tropical, but we think these flavors will please a lot of people. If you aren’t a fan of super sweet drinks or fruity flavors, you’ll probably want to order something else on the menu!

Cretaceous Cooler

If you’re looking to get your hands on this drink, be sure to ask for it by name the next time you’re at Restaurantosaurus Lounge. It’s $12.

REVIEW: This Isn’t Your Typical Piña Colada in Disney World!

There’s a seasonal drink from Anaheim Produce that has been around for quite a while now. Since 2018, in fact!

Anaheim Produce

Frozen drinks are a fantastic way to keep cool and refreshed in Florida heat. To prove it, we have tried just about every frozen drink in Disney World (and we’ve even ranked them). So why is this one drink in particular still here? There must be a good reason, so we just had to find out for ourselves!

Even though it has been around for some time, we visited Anaheim Produce to finally review the Mango Colada that is constantly around as the seasonal drink. How exactly has it managed that? We decided to see what the fuss is about!

A super refreshing classic!

This is seriously the perfect frozen summer drink! It’s cold and sweet (but not too sweet), and exactly what you need to cool off! We mostly tasted the mango and coconut, and didn’t get much pineapple. Still, it’s delicious regardless!

So refreshing!

We can see why it keeps making a return — it’s a popular one! You can get it for $12 at Anaheim Produce. We downed ours pretty quickly because it was just SO refreshing!

Mango Colada!

We recommend this drink to anyone who likes mango and coconut. These flavors cover up the taste of alcohol pretty well, so if that’s your jam, give this one a try! We were not disappointed, and it’s great for the upcoming Florida summer. We’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest Disney World eats and drinks!

Disney World Character Dining Is Different Right Now

One of Disney World’s most classic experiences is character dining.

Mickey Mouse

When the parks and resorts reopened in summer 2020, most character dining was suspended. However, as Disney World’s phased reopening continues, we’re seeing our favorite character meals slowly return. But there’s no doubt that things are different right now — and we’re here to help ya out! We’re breaking down exactly what you can expect at each character meal, so you can pick the best option for you.

What’s Different About Character Dining?

Character dining has returned as a modified experience, which means it’s not quite the same as before! For starters, there are socially distanced meet and greets, which means no hugs or high fives from your favorite pals.

It’s Minnie!

Instead, characters will pass by your table and give you a big ol’ wave! They’ll interact with you from afar, posing for pictures and talking to you.

Look how cute these guys are!

The food itself is also served a bit differently. While several of these meals were buffet-style before — think Chef Mickey’sthey’re now served family-style. It’s like getting your own personal buffet delivered to your table!

Check Out What’s Different About Character Dining!

Now let’s break down exactly WHAT your options are as far as character dining is concerned.

Chef Mickey’s

At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you can enjoy an iconic breakfast with Mickey and friends at Chef Mickey’s! Your family-style breakfast will cost $42 per adult and $27 per child (not including tax and gratuity) and includes classic eats like Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, and fruit.

What’s Chef Mickey whipping up in the kitchen?

Make sure to wave hello to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto, all decked out in chef’s attire!

Check Out Our Review of Chef Mickey’s breakfast here!

Chef Mickey’s dinner is also BACK! The revamped dinner menu features four courses: a starter, plated signature items, a protein selection (Prime Rib, Roasted Salmon, and Traditional Roasted Breast of Turkey), and dessert. There is also a kids’ menu that features a Kids’ Platter with Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Turkey Corn Dog Nuggets, Tater Puffs, and Steamed Broccoli. It costs $55 per adult and $36 per child, plus tax and gratuity.

Read more about the return of Chef Mickey’s dinner here!

Topolino’s Terrace

For another hotel character meal, hop over to Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort! This breakfast is a bit pricier than Chef Mickey’s — for the same price of $42 per adult/$27 per child, you’ll get 1 entree, as opposed to the all-you-care-to-enjoy style at Chef Mickey’s.

It’s Mickey at Topolino’s Terrace!

As for characters — you’ve got Mickey and friends here, too! You’ll see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, all dressed up in artsy costumes. Daisy is a ballet dancer and Mickey makes the snazziest painter! Topolino’s Terrace is also open for dinner, but you won’t see characters at that time.

Check Out Our Review of Topolino’s Terrace!

Garden Grill

At EPCOT, you can feast at Garden Grill with — ya guessed it — Mickey and friends! Both lunch and dinner are served family-style, for $55 per adult and $36 per child (again, this does not include tax or gratuity). The food up for grabs here is comfort food: think mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and stuffing. It’s like Thanksgiving all year long!

Garden Grill Restaurant with Socially Distanced Meet and Greets

You’ll meet Chip ‘n’ Dale, Mickey, and Pluto here — and they’re all dressed up as farmers! This remains one of our favorite Disney restaurants, and we highly recommend this experience.

Check Out Our Review of Garden Grill!

Hollywood and Vine

The last available character dining experience is Hollywood and Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Unlike the other meals, you’ll be able to eat breakfast with some different characters here: Disney Junior pals like Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Roadster Goofy! This meal will cost ya the typical $42 per adult and $27 per child.

It’s Fancy Nancy!

Lunch and dinner are Minnie’s Seasonal Dining, at $55 per adult and $36 per child. You’ll meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto, and their outfits vary based on the season!

Check Out Our Review of Hollywood & Vine’s Character Breakfast!

Returning Character Dining

And MORE character dining options are on their way back! Sometime this summer, Tusker House Restaurant is reopening in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — you’ll be able to hang out with Donald and friends in their safari best.

We can’t wait to see you here again, Donald!

We’ll be sure to keep you posted as we learn even more about these character meals returning. Overall, picking a meal will really come down to the characters you are looking to meet, if you’re wanting to eat in the parks or a resort, and the pricing and time of day that you are looking for. Take a look at those options on top of the food you can eat and see what’s best for you and your family. 😊

For now, you’ve got quite a few dining options, based on who you want to see and what you’re in the mood to eat. Stay tuned to DFB — we’ll keep bringing you the latest Disney news!
