With the results for Q2 2021 now released, Disney has announced that the company had revenue of $15.6 billion, short of the projected $16.0 billion for the quarter. The Disney Parks specifically lost over $967 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2021. Domestic parks lost $587 million, including the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. As people continue to get vaccinated, COVID-19 policies keep shifting.

We’ve previously seen the CDC relax guidelines as states move towards a full reopening. Today, the CDC changed mask recommendations entirely for fully vaccinated individuals, stating that it is considered safe for those people to forgo masks both indoors and outdoors. And in response, President Joe Biden has issued a statement.
The White House has reiterated the CDC’s new guidelines, stating, “If you’re fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask — indoors or outdoors, in most settings.” However, individuals are still required to follow regulations set by their workplaces or local businesses, which may have a different policy.

Keep in mind that Disney World does still have a mask mandate in place for ALL guests, both indoors and outdoors. You are able to briefly remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking while stationery, or while taking socially-distanced photos outdoors. From fun mugs to plushes of rare characters to spirit jerseys with Disney animal friends, there’s a little something for everyone to buy! But if you’re looking for something truly “Disney World” and still really unique, we’ve got just the thing. Listen up, audiophiles (LOL…get it?)!
Vinyl records (AKA those big things we listened to on something called a “record player” WAY before Spotify was a thing) have made a big comeback in recent years. Collectors love vinyl records and music fans swear they sound WAY better than anything digital.

If you’re wandering around Disney World in the market for a souvenir and not after the same ol’ shirts and plush, we’ve got just the thing. We spotted an ACTUAL record at Disney World today! And it’s the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack! So here’s the thing — these aren’t new by any means. In fact, a few years ago you could also find vinyls for the Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” but we haven’t seen this around the parks in a while. This relic of (music) days past got us thinking what a unique souvenir this would make.
What’s so cool about a vinyl, you ask? They’re full color printed vinyls with the ride artwork on them! This is Side A…

As we mentioned, these aren’t new, but they’re back, at least, at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar (AKA the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop) at Magic Kingdom! And for $21.98, they a super unique souvenir to bring home from Disney World, especially if you have a record player or collect vinyl!
Some folks are HUGE fans of Disney attraction poster art. Some folks are HUGE vinyl fans.
