The reimagining of the Transportation and Ticket Center continues as we approach Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in October. The colorful Transportation and Ticket Center is being repainted royal blue and gold to match the EARidescent color scheme of Cinderella Castle and the Walt Disney World entrances. More support poles beneath the Transportation and Ticket Center’s awnings have been painted blue overnight. All of the character-themed fences and gates were removed last week. Now about half of the support poles […]

Planning the perfect Disney World outfit for yourself (and your whole family) can be just as hard as deciding where to eat or what attractions to ride in the parks sometimes.
Matching Shirts!
If you’ve ever wanted to wear matching shirts with your whole family to mark a special occasion or celebration in Disney World (or even at home), we’ve got you covered!!
Right now on shopDisney you can get a whole bunch of customizable, matching family shirts!
Let’s take a look at just how many options there are! We’ll start with the Mickey Mouse Brother shirt. You can get this shirt in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors.
Again, each of these come in a variety of different sizes and colors. Some of the colors, styles, or sizes may be sold out so be sure to check and see if you can get this particular design in another style or color when you’re picking one out.
You can get many of these same selections, again with customizable styles, colors, and sizes for Sister…
The prices will again depend on what styles you pick.
What’s great is since they’re all customizable, you can choose to get a full matching set all in the same style and color for every member of your family, or you could let them each pick their own style/color and yet still have a matching design across all of them! Regardless, they’re sure to make for some fun family photos at home or in the parks.
Where Do You Like to Take Family Photos in Disney World?
If you’ve been looking to grab a matching set of shirts (or even hoodies) for the family, be sure to check these out while they’re available online! We’ll keep an eye out for more great Disney merchandise and let you know what we find.

If you love rides at Disney World as much as we do, then you might start to come up with cute nicknames and silly descriptions for your favs. For instance, Tower of Terror is the elevator ride that turns your stomach into Jell-O. See? It’s fun!
Tower of Terror
Here at DFB, we like to have fun with Disney rides, so we came up with new slogans for attractions in the parks, and we CAN’T. STOP. LAUGHING.
All four Disney World parks have their fan-favorite rides and attractions, which are not only thrilling and fun, but conjure different memories and ideas! And by “ideas,” we mean creative alternate slogans that Disney should definitely consider using.
Dinosaur
So while we were thinking about some of the parks’ most, umm, unique rides, we decided to whip up some apt slogans to describe them! Not to brag, but these are perfect. And perfectly hilarious! Let’s embark on a journey of imagination, shall we?
EPCOT
Have you ever thought to yourself, “Gee, I wish I could feel completely dizzy and disoriented right now,” then we’ve got JUST the ride for you! For anyone who’s ever been on Mission Space at EPCOT, you know it could easily be renamed “Motion Sickness: The Ride!”
Mission: SPACE
Test Track is one of the most popular adrenaline-pumping rides at Disney World…and ONLY at Disney World. That’s why “You’ll Love It If You’ve Never Been to Disneyland!” would be fitting.
Test Track
Soarin’ is another beloved staple at EPCOT, but we all know what it’s really about. “Come For the Smells, Stay for the Floppy Eiffel Tower!”
Soarin’
Living With the Land isn’t exactly known for its high-octane thrills. It’s really more of an educational float trip, like “it’s a small world”, but with organic produce instead of children. An appropriate slogan might be “Fruit: The Ride (We Have Fish Too!)”
Living with the Land
For anyone who’s stopped at the Canada Pavilion lately, you might recognize a couple voices from a familiar TV show narrating Canada Far and Wide. Or as we like to refer to it: “As Close As You’ll Get to Schitts Creek in a Disney Park.”
Canada Far and Wide Film
Did you remember there is another film at World Showcase? No? That’s why “You Forgot We Were Here. It’s ok. It happens” should be the subtitle for the China Pavilion film.
China Pavilion
In order to truly get the full cinematic experience at EPCOT, we can’t leave without stopping to watch the Earth movie, Awesome Planet. The name is a bit of a misnomer, though. Might we suggest “Come Feel Bad About Being a Human!”
Awesome Planet
Animal Kingdom
Few rides at Disney World are more notorious than Dinosaur. Between the pitch-black whiplash and the terrifying carnivores lunging towards us, this doesn’t exactly feel like the MOST magical experience at Animal Kingdom. Let’s try “LOL Good Luck Sleeping Tonight Kids!” That checks out.
Dinosaur
There’s a lot we could say about Expedition Everest. For instance, why are there more hair bands than Yetis? At this point, it’s basically a running joke that the ride’s resident Yeti isn’t getting fixed any time soon. So “Stop Asking About the Yeti” would be a good slogan for this one.
Expedition Everest
Kali River Rapids can be a refreshing romp through white water on a scorching summer day. It can also be retitled “A Great Way to Look Like You Peed Your Pants!”
Kali River Rapids
Magic Kingdom
Space Mountain is fun because after you’ve zipped around at high velocity through utter darkness, and gotten sufficiently dazed, you then have the exciting opportunity of attempting to find the exit through a labyrinthine hallway! Space Mountain, aka “Good Luck Getting Out!”
Space Mountain
Listen, Winnie the Pooh is iconic and beloved, and his namesake ride at Magic Kingdom is a spectacle of cuteness. But we need to address the Heffalump in the room: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has BIG shoes to fill, and they just don’t fit right. “Yeah, You Gave Up Mr. Toad For This.”
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
In a park filled with iconic attractions like Splash Mountain and The Haunted Mansion, there’s inevitably gotta be one snoozer. We’re looking at you, Hall of Presidents. No offense to democracy, but this thing has “Welcome, Grandparents!” written ALL. OVER. IT.
The Hall of Presidents
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Tower of Terror! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Slinky Dog Dash! Rise of the Resistance! There are SO MANY exciting rides to experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! And then there’s Alien Swirling Saucers, which feels like one giant, colorful shrug. It’s not bad. It’s not great. It’s “Eh, It’ll Do.”
Alien Swirling Saucers
Honestly, we could do on and on with these slogans! Whether educating us about cabbage or hurdling us through a dinosaur-infested dystopia, we’re cracking ourselves up with alternate slogans for these Disney rides!

Disney released a new look at Cruella and the song “Call me Cruella” from Florence + the Machine. The song will be part of the Cruella soundtrack and the original score album […]
We’ve been watching pavement be replaced throughout Walt Disney World, including in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Pavement work in Tomorrowland has moved towards the land’s main thoroughfare. The pavement between Merchant of Venus and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has been scored, meaning shallow lines have been cut across it. Lines are cut into the iconic themed gear pavement that was laid in 1994 for New Tomorrowland, meaning it may finally meet its demise. Scoring is done before resurfacing the […]
When you think of Dole Whip in Disney World, you probably picture Magic Kingdom. Right?
Dole Whip!
After all, what’s better than walking around Adventureland with that pineapple soft serve swirl in hand? Well, it actually can be better. You just might not realize it yet. Dole Whip is a park STAPLE — trust us, we get it! But you’ll have to head OUTSIDE of the parks for some more unique creations. If you’re craving Dole Whip but don’t want to settle for an ordinary soft-serve, float, or (gasp!) pineapple flavor, go for one of these options instead.
Pineapple Lanai
You can findPineapple Lanaiat Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, near the main Lava Pool. Basically walk out the back of the Great Ceremonial House and you can’t miss it. What’s great about this spot is that the offerings here rotate: we’ve seen lime, lemon, strawberry, vanilla, orange, raspberry, and of course that classic pineapple soft-serve! The flavors here often change daily, so it’s worth a stop to check what’s on the menu each day!
Orange and Raspberry Swirl!
But you’ll also be able to grab limited-time specialty Dole Whips here, like that amazing marshmallow soft-serve that stuck around just long enough for Easter. This treat was super unique while giving us our Dole Whip fix: it was sweet, tasty, and sparkled with edible glitter! It was unlike anything you’ll find in the parks.
And if you head a few steps over to Barefoot Pool Bar, you’ll find a spin-off of the classic Spikey Pineapple from Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace (which remains temporarily closed): the Frosty Pineapple! It’s got pineapple Dole Whip with Captain Morgan Private Stock Rum. Oh, and don’t forget about the Frozen Margarita with Lime Dole Whip here, either!
Dole Whip Lime Margarita
We also invented our own spiked Dole Whip at Barefoot Pool Bar that’s now a real, official menu item! If you’re looking for Dole Whip outside of the parks, the Polynesian is basically a honey hole. It’s just about everywhere and in LOTS of unique options!
And now we’re officially on island time!
But while Disney’s Polynesian Resort is the OG home of Dole Whip at Disney hotels, there are plenty more places to go outside of the parks!
Pineapple Lanai may offer spiked Dole Whip, but Splitsville in Disney Springs puts its OWN spin on it! At the recently opened Bamboo Bar, you’ll find a frozen Piña Colada with Dole Whip. Yum. This masterpiece is Dole Whip, Coco Lopez, Bacardi Superior, and Rumhaven Coconut blended and topped with a splash of Plantation Double-Aged Dark Rum. And spoiler: it’s tasty!
Frozen Pina Colada
You can also get the Miami Vice here, which is the Piña Colada (plus that Dole Whip!) mixed with the Rumrunner. That’s rum, blackberry brandy, banana liquor, lime juice, and cranberry! The end result is colorful and creative.
Check out your options!
And guys, if all this wasn’t exciting enough, those spiked Dole Whips are refillable. Just buy a refillable squeeze bottle to get any of those refills at a discount!
Splitsville Refillable Squeeze Bottle
Your 20oz squeeze bottle (with that first drink included) will cost ya $20, and each refill after is just $13.
Yup, we’re talkin’ Dole Whip Nachos. If you’re a Dole Whip fan, you’re gonna want to give these a try. You’ll get waffle cone chips topped with Dole Whip, mango boba pearls, pineapple tidbits, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, and rainbow sprinkles. And boy is it GOOD.
How about Dole Whip with wine? That’s a real thing and we assure you…it’s delightful. You’ll want to head over to the walk-up window at Wine Bar George, The Basket! There, you’ll find the Dole Whip Froscato — that’s pineapple Dole Whip with vodka and moscato! We’re big fans of this tart sip. Plus, you can choose to order it “Mimosa-style” with a floater of Prosecco.
Next time you’re in Disney World, remember that the parks aren’t the only place to grab some Dole Whip. You’re missing out on some really unique (and tasty) creations if you forget about all the unique places this famous snack can be found!

It seems the refurbishment of Cool Ship and Cool Scanner in Magic Kingdom is now complete. Construction walls have come down from around the Tomorrowland kiosks. After repainting the legs of Cool Scanner multiple times, it seems Disney settled on a dark grey-silver. One of the more noticeable changes is the addition of blue paint around the edge of the roofs. Previously, they were just white. “Thirst Rangers” was not repainted on the side of Cool Ship. Paint on the […]
