How to Conquer This FREE Game in Magic Kingdom

When you think of FREE things at Disney World you might think of free water (hopefully), free maps, free buttons, free transportation for Disney hotel guests, and a few other things that are available in the parks and resorts at no additional cost.

Time to Go to Magic Kingdom for a FREE Game!

There are also some great, FREE games you can play in the parks. You might know about Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (which ended this year) and the Play Disney Parks app. But to play this game you’ll need to head to one very specific place in Magic Kingdom…a restroom!

That’s right, we’re making our way over to one of the most beloved restrooms in all of Disney World…the Tangled Toilets in Fantasyland! These toilets have (deservingly) made our list of some of the best restrooms in all of Disney World.

So Pretty!

The area is full of incredible details, references to the movie, and some beautiful photo spots.

Seriously, This is Just Gorgeous

The area has even gotten some small refurbishments made to it recently to keep it looking great ahead of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

Now, you might think the only thing you can really “do” in this space is use the bathroom, but there’s so much more! In addition to all of the great photo spots and easter eggs, there are spots to sit down, relax, and recharge.

Recognize That Frying Pan?

AND there’s a special, FREE game you can play here too! While you’re hanging out in the Tangled area, you can actually go on a scavenger hunt to find the 10 Pascals (or really, friends of Pascal) that have been hidden all around the space. Pascal is a chameleon after all (and so are his friends), so they make the perfect hide-and-seek partners!

Have You Found Them All?!

Now, before we begin, we do want to note that this post is going to spoil the spots where you’ll find these hidden Pascals. We’ll try not to go into too much detail so it doesn’t give it ALL away. But, we will be showing you each of the hidden Pascals and where they’re located (for example, on a tree, by the top of a building, etc.) so you’ll have a pretty good idea of what you’re looking for.

If you want to try and find him on your own without ANY assistance, you might want to bookmark this page and come back to it later if you get desperate. But, if you’re ready for some spoilers, then let’s dive in!

Such a Gorgeous Area

First — first, you’ll want to look at the trees over near Memento Mori.

Look at the Tree!

See Pascal hidden in there?! He is a chameleon, so it makes sense why he can hide so well, but goodness, he is quite good!

Pascal on a Tree!

Second — take a look at the wooden beams in the area holding up some lamps. You’ll want to look at the corners where the vertical and horizontal beams meet near the top.

Gotta Look Closely

And in one of those spots you’ll find Pascal, blending in perfectly with the wood around him!

There You Are!

Third — take a look at the water running through the area and the bridge near Peter Pan’s Flight.

See Him Yet?

If you look between those rocks that have a green color to them, you’ll find Pascal sitting right in the center!

Hello Pascal!

Fourth — over by the bridge, you’ll need to look down at more of the rocks. This time, look near where the wooden fence sort-of meets up with the stone bridge.

Look Closely!

There, you’ll see a little Pascal sitting in the area below!

We See You!

Fifth — in the part where there’s a bit of a stream winding around, look back at the rocks.

He’s Near the Back

There, you’ll want to look VERY closely for a tiny hidden Pascal sitting in the rocks above the little stream.

He Blends in So Well

Let’s get away from the rocks for a second and look UP instead. If you look at the back of one building in the area with some flower beds on the windows, you’ll find our sixth Pascal.

Which One Is He Hiding Under?

He’s hiding under one of the flower beds there!

So Sneaky!

Seventh — you’ll want to search through some of the buildings near the restrooms. There, you’ll find one with a flower basket and a green design on the front — you might want to look in that one!!

Gotta Look Everywhere!

Inside, you’ll find Pascal hanging out with some flowers.

We Found Ya!

Eighth — take a look at the back of the Memento Mori building.

Look for This Building

On the corner of the building you’ll find Pascal hiding!

He is SO Good at Hiding

Ninth — in another part of the little stream that runs through the area, you’ll find some more rocks. Look really closely near those rocks and you’ll see Pascal peeking out from between two of the rocks. You may be able to walk around the area to get some shots at a different angle.

You Can See His Tail!

And that brings us to the tenth hidden Pascal. This one can be EXTREMELY difficult to see depending on the plant growth in the area. But, you’ll want to look for a rock that’s got some green tinges to part of it and has those cracks down the center and sides.

Look for that Big Rock in the Center

Tucked in the grass area there is a Pascal, but it looks like some of the leaves may grow up too much and cover him.

He’s Tucked in There

And that’s the list of the 10 hidden Pascals!! Hopefully that helps you on your next scavenger hunt to find him in the Tangled restroom area in Magic Kingdom.

We’ll keep looking for all kinds of hidden details, fun games, and more that you can do in the parks and at home. Stay tuned for more!

Animal Kingdom Remains Popular – Disney World Wait Times for Sunday, May 9, 2021

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom out there!  Average posted wait times today at Walt Disney World were relatively low today at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios, while Animal Kingdom’s times were 11th-highest out of the past month. Some of that’s probably due to the return of a shortened version of Festival of the Lion King, titled A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King.  My guess is that whoever named this came over from the LaCroix beverage company, where they’d previously come up with the flavors “A Celebration of a Hint of Cranberry” and “Is This Pineapple?”

We’ve got 202 actual wait times so far today from our fabulous Lines community.  Let’s do the rest of the numbers!

Magic Kingdom Wait Times

Wait times at the Magic Kingdom today were the lowest they’ve been in the past 30 days. And even then, the posted wait times overstated the actual wait times by about 50%, so waits weren’t even that bad.

Space Mountain had an average wait time today of 35 minutes. Its 7-day average is 36 minutes, so today ranks #3 for this week. Its 30-day average is 39 minutes, so today ranks #24 for the past month. Rise of the Resistance is having another unusual day of operations.  Something strange seems to have happened over the last couple of days, either with the ride operations (which seems most likely) or with the way they’re calling boarding groups, or how those boarding groups are being displayed in MDE.  I suppose it’s also possible that there aren’t enough people in the Studios today who want to ride ROTR, but that seems less likely.  In any event, it looks like Rise of the Resistance is unlikely to make it to boarding group 160 today.

PHOTOS: These Disneyland Guests Got the VIP Treatment Without Paying a Penny!

We’re not above sharing animal antics at Disney Parks… .

Mind if we join you all?

We love seeing what Disney ducks, squirrels, and other wildlife do in the parks. They’re fun to watch because they’re so unpredictable!

However, we recently found ourselves a little jealous of some ducks at Disneyland, because they were, apparently, being treated like VIPS. AND IT WASN’T EVEN DONALD OR DAISY. We spotted a group of ducks at Disneyland with their very own VIP tour guides.

They have their own VIP guides

This group was actually a Mama Duck and her babies, so these Cast Members were looking out for them to keep them safe while they were close to guests. And honestly, HOW SWEET?!?!?! The Cast Members walked them across the seating area to make sure the duck family stayed together and didn’t get hurt.

Awwww!

Okay, we get it — ducks really are VIPS, and we hope they enjoyed their time at Disney California Adventure and got to see all the cool sights. We’ll continue to share more cute animal photos from the Disney Parks!

8 Things We Always Bring to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission.

It’s almost here! In July, the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will begin! And we’ll be hitting up all the food booths and checking out all the festival activities and reporting in!

2020 Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

That means it’s time to get prepared! When we hit the festival, there are certain things we ALWAYS bring along — and so we thought we’d share our must-bring festival list with you!

Food Trays

So when you visit all the booths, you get small plates of your food, plus drinks, and um…how are you going to carry all of that to a table to eat? That’s where having a small tray to put everything on comes in SUPER HANDY. And although you can often buy trays at the festival, but why not save yourself some $$$ and bring one from home?

Olive to Cook Tray

Or even better, you can make your own DFB Food and Wine Festival Tray! Then you can rep your DFB love and save yourself from a potential foodies accident.

Find out how to make your own DFB Food and Wine Festival Tray HERE!

Reusable Utensils and Straw

Yes, you can get plastic utensils at the festival, but there are times when the machines run out (and Cast Members haven’t yet refilled them) and all you can get is a spoon, when what you really need is a knife (isn’t it ironic?). How to solve this conundrum? Bring your own reusable utensils and straws! Or buy a set in the parks.

Reusable Utensils

That’s right, some really COOL reusable utensils and straws, Disney just released a new set that you can use! And trust us, these work so much better than plastic utensils that can bend and break easily. Trust us — we’ve tested these out!

Read our full review of these new utensils here!

Festival Passport

If you plan on visiting the festival on multiple days, be sure to keep track of your festival passport. It has all the food booths and menu items listed in it so you can check off what you’ve tried so far and what you haven’t. It’s the easiest way to remember what you’ve eaten! So don’t forget it for each trip to EPCOT.

Don’t forget your Festival passport!

The festival passport will also have a page for activities such as the Cheese Crawl, which you will get stickers for. You’ll need to have the completed page on hand to get your special prize! And if you need to grab one — they’re readily available around EPCOT.

Read all about the Food and Wine Cheese Crawl here!

Water Bottle

We typically push free water here at DFB because we don’t want you to have to pay outrageous amounts for bottled water. And you’ll need to stay hydrated at the festival (especially if you’re drinking the boozy stuff). But did you know that their are also water bottle refill stations around the park? We like to use these so we don’t have to wait in line for cups of water.

Reusable Water Bottle

If you’re like us, we recommend having a handy water bottle, like this collapsible one. Then, it saves time and space!

Battery Pack/Mobile Charger

You’ll be using your phone quite a bit at Disney World, checking the My Disney Experience app AND taking photos of all the amazing food and drinks you’ll be trying out. So it’s important to make sure you have a way to charge your phone when it runs out of juice. This is why we bring a battery pack or mobile charger with us!

©Anker

Although Fuel Rods are still available at the parks (and are a good option), we sometimes bring own charger from home, like this Anker PowerCore 10000.

Rain Gear and/or Jacket

Welcome to Florida, where there may not be any rain in the forecast, but hey, it’s raining anyway. Florida is notorious for little pop-up rainstorms that could quite literally ruin your day, especially as you’ll be eating outside during the festival. But if you bring the appropriate rain gear, you’re already well-prepared.

Rain gear

We typicaly suggest saving some money and purchasing an inexpensive poncho at home. But we know sometimes people forget or they buy the Mickey Ponchos in the parks. We did a full review recently so you can see if they are worth the upcharge!

No matter which poncho you choose, you will wish you had one when Florida’s random summer showers show up. And there’s a bonus here — EVERYONE else who didn’t plan ahead for the rain will be heading for shelter, making lines at the booths shorter! SCORE! Also, you can have cooler mornings, warmer days, and cooler nights during the fall festival dates, so having a jacket on hand can come in handy for that, too!

A Tide Pen

When you’re juggling multiple plates of food and drinks during the day, messes are going to happen. That’s just how things go. But unless you want to run around with food stains on your clothes for the rest of the day, we recommend bringing a Tide Pen because those things will take a stain out quickly!

Just in case this ends up on your shirt…

By the way, this goes DOUBLE if you have kids because stains WILL happen. But if you’re prepared, they’re not as much of a problem!

Festival Gift Cards

If you happen to purchase festival gift cards to make purchases at booths easier, don’t forget to keep bringing them back with you each day you attend the festival! Because they are so easy to set down somewhere and forget, and then you don’t have your main method of payment on hand when you need it!

Don’t forget these!

This goes for any of your preferred method of payments, whether that be a MagicBand, credit card, or cash. But with the gift cards, we like the ones that have the cord that allows you to hang them around your wrist. Although you could always keep them in a lanyard, too!

These are just eight things that we make sure to have on-hand when we visit the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, so we hope that these are things that will help you have some great festival days, too! And as always, stay tuned because we’ll keep sharing all our tips and tricks with you!
