Who Knew Action Figures Could Make Us Excited for Disney/Pixar’s Next Movie?!
It’s shaping up to be a BIG summer movie season for Disney!
We’ve already been counting down the days until Cruella and Black Widow, and now we’re getting even MORE excited for the next Pixar flick thanks to an upcoming line of action figures from Mattel!
Disney and Pixar always hit it out of the park with their movies. Just ask the Oscars!
Last year, we embarked on a brotherly journey with Onward, and we got jazzy with Soul. Now we’re eagerly awaiting Luca, set to debut for FREE on Disney+ in June!
As if the movie trailers weren’t making us excited enough, now we have NEW action figures to look forward to too!
Courtesy of the action figure masterminds at Mattel, the forthcoming collection features different toys and sets inspired by the aquatic adventure film!
Items include action figures of Luca’s main characters, Luca and Alberto, as their sea creature personas (spoiler alert: they’re sea creatures), along with fish, crabs, and other nautical accompaniments.
Other sets feature the duo as their land-dwelling characters, along with accessories like scooters and telescopes.
Characters can be purchased individually for $9.99, or as full sets. The underwater set is $24.99, the scooter set is $19.99, and the stargazer set is $14.99, and all collections will be available in July! We’ll keep you posted as soon as they become available for pre-order and purchase!

7 Changes We Saw at Walt Disney World This Week
Our in-parks team is in Walt Disney World theme parks every day recording wait times, trying food, soaking in the atmosphere, and looking for any changes that might impact your vacation. Here’s the changes that stood out to us this week.
Mira, Royal Detective
We were so excited to see Mira, Royal Detective, joining the Disney Junior character cavalcade this week at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hailing from the kingdom of Jaipur, Mira travels around to help solve problems with her trusty mongoose sidekicks Mikku and Chikku.
Halcyon Model
As a special surprise for May the 4th, over at Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a model of the Halcyon (aka the Galactic Starcruiser hotel) is now on display.
New Wishables
Also on May the 4th, a new series of Star Wars Wishables was released throughout Walt Disney World.
Reopening of Merchandise Shops
Two shops reopened at Walt Disney World this week — the outside shopping area at EPCOT’s China pavilion and the Beverly Sunset Boutique/Reel Vogue shops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Gelateria Toscana Opened
Over at EPCOT, Gelateria Toscana opened, featuring a variety of amazingly tasty treats to help you keep your cool this summer. You can see our review here.
Facial Recognition Test Gone
Disney has removed the facial recognition test that was being used at an entrance tapstyle at Magic Kingdom. No word yet if they will be implementing changes and bringing it back on a larger scale in the future.
Menu Boards Replaced at Friar’s Nook
Along with the move to mobile ordering, Friar’s Nook also received an upgrade with new in-person menu boards this week. We noticed that there are Disney Dining Plan icons the new board, however it’s too early to speculate when the Disney Dining Plan will return.

No One Deserves to Be Lonely in Disney World. Not Even Balloons.
When it comes to sharing stories from Disney World, 99.9% of those stories are pure joy and magic! But every once in a while, something TRAGIC happens.
No one should be forgotten in Disney World. Not even a balloon. You hate to see it.
We’re not sure why, but there’s something so heartbreaking about finding discarded Disney snacks and souvenirs around the parks. Remember that time we found a wholly UNEATEN Mickey Pretzel, left behind like yesterday’s news? We still haven’t recovered.
And speaking of Mickey-shaped things that break our hearts, we got all weepy about a pair of forgotten Mickey balloons in EPCOT recently! So many questions, not enough answers.
It pains us to say it, but the lonely balloon saga continued this weekend in Magic Kingdom. We were exploring the parks, enjoying an otherwise lovely day and reuniting with a classic Storybook Circus character, when we came to a screeching halt in Tomorrowland. There they were: two more forgotten balloons. Anchored together and brushed aside. OW.
At least they have each other, right? Even though balloons don’t have eyes, these two totally seem like they’re gazing at one another. It’s actually quite beautiful when you think about it that way!
Yeah, let’s go with that. These balloons weren’t forgotten. They’ve run off together to honeymoon in Disney World! (At least…that’s what we’re telling ourselves).
Okay Disney, Why Can’t We Have These Balloons Year Round?!

Can You Guess Which Ride Had the LONGEST Wait in Each Disney World Park This Week?
Heading to Disney World soon? Wondering what the wait times have been for your favorite attractions have been lately? Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered!!
Each week, we take a look at the average wait times for ALL of Disney World’s rides and bring that info to you! And now we’re breaking down this week’s wait times. Can you guess what ride at each park had the longest wait time this week? Make your guesses right now before you read on and then let us know in the comments how many you got right.
Alright, let’s dive in!
Magic Kingdom
No surprise here — over at Magic Kingdom the ride with the longest wait time (once again) was Splash Mountain with an average 62 minute wait this week. Other rides with longer wait times in Magic Kingdom this week include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with an average 44 minute wait, Jungle Cruise with a 36 minute wait on average, and Space Mountain with an average 33 minute wait.
In the 20-minute range, we had rides like Pirates of the Caribbean with an average wait time of 29 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 26 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight at 26 minutes as well, Astro Orbiter at 23 minutes, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 23 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 22 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 21 minutes, and “it’s a small world” at 21 minutes.
What rides had a shorter wait on average though, like closer to the teens? Well, this week Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin had an average wait time of 18 minutes. We also had Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 18 minutes, Tom Sawyer Island at 17 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 16 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 13 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 13 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 12 minutes, and Country Bear Jamboree, Mad Tea Party, and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin all tied at 11 minutes.
Looking for rides with even SHORTER wait times? Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini had an average wait time of 9 minutes this week, while the Carousel of Progress was at 8 minutes, Liberty Square Riverboat at 3 minutes, and Enchanted Tiki Room and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse tied with 0 minute waits.
EPCOT
Over at EPCOT, if you guessed that Test Track was the ride with the highest wait time this week you’d be…CORRECT! Test Track was at the top of the wait times leaderboard in EPCOT with an average wait time this week of 45 minutes.
Other rides with longer average wait times included Soarin’ with an average wait time of 44 minutes, Mission: SPACE with a 39 minute wait, Frozen Ever After with a 38 minute wait, and Spaceship Earth with a 21 minute wait.
Looking for rides with a shorter wait? This week, Journey into Imagination had an average wait time of 13 minutes, while The Seas with Nemo and Friends was at 12 minutes, Living with the Land was at 9 minutes, and Gran Fiesta Tour was at 8 minutes.
In terms of rides with no wait at all, on average this week Impressions de France, Reflections of China, American Adventure, Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, and the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival all showed a 0 minute wait!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Now, let’s head over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Any guesses what ride had the longest average wait time this week? If you guessed Kilimanjaro Safaris then you’d be…WRONG! While Kilimanjaro Safaris was up there with a 34 minute wait (taking the 2nd place spot), the award for longest average wait time at Animal Kingdom this week goes to…Avatar Flight of Passage! Flight of Passage had an average wait of 61 minutes this week.
In terms of other rides in the 30s and 20s in terms of wait times, we had Na’vi River Journey at 31 minutes, Dinosaur at 31 minutes as well, Kali River Rapids at 24 minutes, and It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 22 minutes.
Expedition Everest had a relatively short average wait time at 16 minutes. TriceraTop Spin was at 7 minutes, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail brings up the rear of the group with an average wait time of 0 minutes.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Finally, we end our wait times trip at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. What do you think had the longest average wait time this week? The adorable Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway? Twilight Zone Tower of Terror? Maybe Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run?
Well if you guessed any of those you’d actually be…WRONG! The ride with the longest wait time in Hollywood Studios this week was (once again) Slinky Dog Dash with an average wait time of 59 minutes.
Other rides with some longer wait times include Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at 56 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 39 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 34 minutes, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 33 minutes.
In the 20s range we had Toy Story Mania at 26 minutes, Muppet*Vision 3D at 25 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 24 minutes, Alien Swirling Saucers at 23 minutes, and Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 20 minutes.
And finally, Walt Disney Presents was at the bottom end of the list with a 15 minute wait. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance doesn’t get averaged into the wait times since it uses the Boarding Group system. Just be sure you read all the latest updates so you can give yourself the best chance possible to get a boarding group!
And that’s our look at wait times this week. Overall, our leaderboard has stayed generally the same with Splash Mountain, Test Track, Slinky Dog Dash, and Flight of Passage leading the way as being the rides with the longest wait times in each park.
Only a few rides were over the 60 minute mark this week in terms of average wait times, but things could change as summer crowds arrive. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we see in terms of crowd levels and wait times in the upcoming months!
