Estella Before Cruella: “Hello, Cruel Heart” Destined to be a Disney Fan Favorite

Author Maureen Johnson’s Hello, Cruel Heart is an origin story every Disney fan should be excited to read. The fact that it is based on Disney’s Cruella De Vil (the fabulously cruel villain from 101 Dalmations) is just a bonus – the story itself is exciting, heart-wrenching and plain genius. What is Hello, Cruel Heart about? Estella […]

Hello, World Travelers, and welcome to an exciting day at EPCOT! We started out our day checking on construction projects as usual, and we have some fun things to show you, so let’s get started! When we entered the park, we saw that the front of Spaceship Earth had been almost completely covered in Points of Light. With lights as far down as the top of the legs this view is rapidly becoming the most well filled-out. Nearby, we could […]

Disney Cruise Line May Set Sail From Ft. Lauderdale Year Round Starting in 2022

disney-cruise-line-3298650

Disney Cruise Line may begin setting sail from Ft. Lauderdale’s Port Everglades in 2022. This port would be the year-round home to one of the fleet’s ships, being Disney Cruise Line’s first year-round ship stationed outside of Port Canaveral. It would also be the first time Disney Cruise Line sailed out of Port Everglades. Disney has only ever docked there due to storms. Magical Cruise Company Limited (Disney Cruise Line) has requested the deal with Port Everglades, but Broward County […]

PHOTOS: Wanna Meet the Princesses? Don’t Skip This Spot at Disneyland!

If there’s one thing Disneyland has totally nailed ever since A Touch of Disney, it has got to be their character interactions! We’ve been consistently impressed by the unique ways guests can say “hello” to their favorite characters — after all, we have a lot to catch up on from the last year apart!

Sleeping Beauty Castle

Among all the characters we love to spot in the theme parks, the Princesses are always a highlight. So we made sure to track them down after Disneyland reopened last week!

As one would guess, Fantasyland is THE place to go if you want to see the princesses. Right now, you’ll want to head to Royal Theatre where you can interact with select Disney royalty from a safe distance! Need to find Royal Theatre? It’s to the lefthand side of Sleeping Beauty Castle as you walk up from Main Street, U.S.A.!

Aurora, looking wide awake!

On our most recent trip, we spotted Aurora (Disneyland IS the home of her castle, after all!)…

Aurora

…as well as Ariel! We’ve also heard hints that Belle and Mulan may be spotted at the Royal Theatre, so there may be a different set of princesses there when you visit!

Ariel

As we journeyed further into Fantasyland, we also spotted Snow White!

Snow White

But be careful…as Snow White was greeting guests, we happened to notice the Evil Queen watching over her (and us!).

Evil Queen

Just like in Disney World, traditional character meet and greets are currently unavailable at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, but there are still tons of opportunities to wave and chat with the characters on your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! Be sure to follow along as we continue to cover the historic reopening of the Disneyland Resort.
