Last month, Universal Studios Hollywood announced that out-of-state guests age 16+ would be allowed to visit the park but must purchase tickets at the gate on the day of their visit. Refurbishments continue around Walt Disney World Resort in advance of the 50th anniversary celebration that begins October 1st. The Transportation and Ticket Center, or TTC, has been undergoing repainting to match the celebration’s blue and gold color scheme. Cinderella Castle, the Walt Disney World entry archways, and more have been receiving similar makeovers. More vertical supports for the roof awning have been painted blue. Average posted wait times were higher today at Animal Kingdom and EPCOT than they’ve been in the recent past. Average posted waits at Animal Kingdom have been about 32 minutes today, and that ranks 8th-highest out of the past 30 days. Over at EPCOT, the opening of the new Gelateria Toscana in Italy gives everyone (and by “everyone”, I mean “me”) an ice cream-based reason to visit World Showcase. You know, for research.
We counted 473 of 500 guests (95%) at EPCOT wearing masks according to Disney’s guidelines. And although it’s still early in the day, we’ve already received 189 actual wait times today from our fabulous Lines community. Let’s do the rest of the numbers!
