While some restaurants in Disney World are still closed (Casey’s Corner: we’re looking at you), others are now starting to reopen or offer more dining options!
Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Cape May Cafe will soon be reopening! Now, Disney has shared pricing and menu details and we’re breaking it all down for you!
Let’s start with some information. Cape May Cafe will reopen at the Beach Club on May 18th. It will begin serving both Breakfast and Dinner on that date, but characters will not be present.
Reservations for breakfast and dinner will become available on May 7th.
Now, let’s take a look at the menus and prices!
Breakfast
The all-you-care-to-eat family-style breakfast offering at Cape May Cafe will be priced at $25 per adult, $14 per child (plus tax and gratuity). This is a big price difference compared to their character buffet which was previously offered — that was priced at around $42 per adult, and $27 per kid pre-pandemic. This is similar to the big price difference we saw when Chef Mickey’s first reopened without characters. Keep in mind, again, that characters will not be available at Cape May Cafe for now.
In terms of the breakfast offerings, the menu online lists assorted house-made pastries and spreads (including croissants, french rolls, a “Lobster Tail” pastry filled with Pastry Cream, and more), mixed fresh fruits, yogurt parfaits, and a breakfast platter (which includes Mickey Waffles, pancakes, brioche french toast, and more).
That’s really all that Disney has shared in terms of the breakfast offerings for now.
Dinner
Dinner is priced at $42 per adult, and $25 per child (plus tax and gratuity). This is slightly less than what the all-you-can-eat buffet previously cost here for dinner — around $55 per adult, $33 per child pre-pandemic.
For dinner, Cape May Cafe will offer a family-style feast. The offerings include house-baked breads and accompaniments, the Turf Platter (which includes slow-roasted strip loin, oven-roasted lemon-pepper chicken, mashed potatoes, and more), a Seasonal Harvest Salad, a Seafood Boil (which includes PEI mussels, peel-n-eat shrimp, Cape May clams, and more), and an assortment of desserts.
For an additional cost, you can add steamed crab legs or a whole steamed lobster to your meal.
The dinner menu also shows that there will be a number of Non-Alcoholic Mocktails…
…Beers, Hard Ciders, Hard Seltzers (more listed online that are not pictured below)…
…Cocktails (more listed online that are not pictured below)…
…Sparkling and White Wines…
…and Rose and Red Wines available.
We’ll keep an eye out for more details about these menus and this restaurant’s reopening, and we’ll let you know what we find.
Keep in mind that reservations for breakfast and dinner will become available on May 7th. So mark your calendars if you want to try to book some!
