MENU and PRICES Released for Chef Mickey’s Dinner in Disney World

Yesterday, we shared that character dining will soon be available for DINNER at Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Chef Mickey’s

Reservations for this dinner service don’t become available until tomorrow (May 7th), but we’ve already got a look at the menu and pricing, and we’re sharing all the details here with you!

Right now, the character breakfast at Chef Mickey’s is priced at $42 for adults and $27 for children (plus tax and gratuity).

Chef Mickey’s family dinner is more expensive. It is priced at $55 per adult, and $36 per child (plus tax and gratuity). This appears to be just slightly less expensive than what this restaurant used to cost at dinner prior to the pandemic (about $60 per adult and $39 per child).

What’s on the menu though? Disney has previously shared that dinner will be all-you-care-to-enjoy served family-style.

The first course options include a Seasonal Composed Plant-based salad, Citrus-poached Baby Shrimp, Chef Mickey’s Season, and the Pastry Chef’s Bread selections.

There are some plated signature items available as well including Potato Gnocchi, Plant-based Farro Wheat Fried Rice, and Roasted Garlic-Gratin Potatoes.

In terms of accompaniments, the Disney menu currently lists Baby Carrots and Asparagus with Gremolata.

For the protein selections, there is Prime Rib, Roasted Salmon, and Traditional Roasted Breast of Turkey.

There are a number of child selections as well including a Kids’ Platter that comes with Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Turkey Corn Dog Nuggets, Tater Puffs, and Steamed Broccoli. There are also Chef Mickey’s Vegetable Dippers with Ranch Dressing.

And (of course) there will be some desserts available! Right now, the online menu simply says that there will be the Pastry Chef’s family-style desserts.

The online menu also lists a number of Non-Alcoholic Mocktails

Beers, Hard Ciders, and Hard Seltzers (more online not pictured below)…

Cocktails (more listed online that are not pictured below)…

…and Wines that will be available at an additional price.

When we’ve visited other former buffets-turned-family-style restaurants in Disney World, we’ve generally experienced a combination of family-style and a la carte style dining. For example, at The Crystal Palace, there are family-style starters, adult entree choices (where each adult picks one), and family-style desserts. The situation was slightly different over at Hollywood & Vine.

Chef Mickey’s

We’ll definitely be checking out Chef Mickey’s dinner when it reopens to let you know exactly how this experience is being organized, what has changed, and whether we think it’s something you might want to consider for a future trip. Stay tuned for more news.

And if you’re planning to make a reservation, remember that reservations for Chef Mickey’s dinner service opens tomorrow (May 7th) and dinner will start being served on May 16th!

New Emergency Room to Be Built Near Disney World

Just a few minutes away from Disney World’s theme parks and resorts, Disney has been working on its new Flamingo Crossings Town Center.

A number of hotels in this area are already open, Disney’s College Program Cast Members are set to reside in an apartment complex located in this area, and a number of other retailers were previously announced for this area (including a Wendy’s, Firehouse Subs, and more). And now we’ve got an update about another new thing that will be coming to Flamingo Crossings!

Earlier today, Disney shared a big announcement about its partnership and work with AdventHealth. As part of that announcement, AdventHealth also announced that they will be building a NEW emergency room location in Flamingo Crossings.

©AdventHealth

The ER is set to be staffed by a “comprehensive clinical team.” Board-certified emergency physicians and emergency nurses will staff this new ER. According to AdventHealth, “the design of the facility and team member training will bring an enhanced patient experience for those who need emergency care.”

For those wondering where the Flamingo Crossings Town Center is generally in relation to Disney World, here’s a look at the Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando at Flamingo Crossings Town Center (upper left on the map) and a look at the surrounding area. You can see Disney’s Animal Kingdom toward the bottom center/right of the map.

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more news about Disney’s relationship with AdventHealth and the ER coming to Flamingo Crossings Town Center, and we’ll let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more updates.
