Disney World is expanding healthcare options!

©Disney | AdventHealth

AdventHealth is a major healthcare company in Orlando and for many years has maintained a relationship with the Walt Disney Company. You might remember that AdventHealth professionals have been administering temperature checks in the past months and Disney has helped with installations at AdventHealth hospitals. Now, the relationship is expanding — and it means new offerings for guests!

AdventHealth and Disney just announced that AdventHealth is now the OFFICIAL healthcare provider at Walt Disney World. In addition to this, both Disney World and Disneyland will see an expansion of Virtual Care options hosted RIGHT in the My Disney Experience app.

AdventHealth World of Wellness will be a new suite of virtual services for those with healthcare questions in Disney World. The system will feature Athletic Training resources, runDisney resources, Emergency Room resources, Urgent Care and Virtual Care, a Care Concierge Call Center, Vacation Planning resources, and Equipment and Prescription Delivery.

This offering will give guests access to a lot of new healthcare resources both virtually and in person. It’s a new way to experience healthcare services and one that should help to keep guests healthier in Disney World. The vacation planning resources will even help to plan vacations for those with care needs.

The expansion of this relationship means easier healthcare access for those at Disney World resort and added magic for those at the Walt Disney Pavilion AdventHealth for Children. We’re excited to see what else this partnership might hold! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!

Disney World Restocks Park Passes for the Fourth of July!

Disney World Park Passes have been quickly filling up for quite a few days this year.

Don’t Forget to Get Your Park Passes Early!

Keep in mind that to enter a Disney World theme park right now you do need to have a valid ticket AND valid Park Pass for each theme park you want to visit for each day of your trip (and for each member of your party). If you’re planning on visiting the Disney World theme parks during the Fourth of July, the time to get your Park Passes is NOW!

Yesterday, we saw that Park Passes for much of July and October were restocked. Because of that recent restocking, Park Passes for the Fourth of July are now available at all 4 parks for all guests! Park Passes for the Fourth had been filling up previously, but now that’s changed.

Whether you’re a Disney World guest with Theme Park Tickets…

…a Guest at Select Resort Hotels

…or an Annual Passholder, you can now make a Park Pass reservation at ANY of Disney World’s theme parks for the 4th of July.

Of course, this availability could and likely will change again (and it may change soon). So if you’re looking to visit Disney World during the 4th of July and don’t already have your Park Passes booked, or you were looking to change those Park Passes to visit another park, NOW is the time to do it!

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find.

Disney World is a pretty awesome place to make memories!

©Disney

Disney launched the Capture Your Moment photo sessions in Magic Kingdom last year as a new option for those creating special memories in Disney World. For $50, guests can get a 20-minute photo session in Magic Kingdom with a professional photographer — and now the offering is expanding to another park.

You’ll check in at the ticket and information desk located outside of Island Mercantile, your photographer will discuss locations and ask you a few preference questions, and then you’ll head to your shoot for up to 20 minutes!

©Disney

Like the existing Capture Your Moment sessions, these are priced at $50 and can include a maximum of 8 guests. Keep in mind that prints and digital downloads are NOT included in the price of the shoot. BUT, those who have Memory Maker or the Disney PhotoPass downloads with an Annual Pass CAN download photos taken during the session.

The 6 Best Things to Do in Disney World in May

Happy May, everyone!

EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!

We’re already flying through spring, as April has come and gone. We’ve pushed through the spring break and Easter crowds, and now it’s May! If you’ve got a Disney World trip planned this month, we’re sharing some of the BEST things you can do!

EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

We might sound like a broken record talking about the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, but it’s sticking around for so long this year and it’s definitely worth checking out! There are dozens of different festival eats to try, and we’ve already shared our absolute favorites with you.

Sunshine Griddle was a big hit among our team!

We recently tried some new items at Farmers Feast, a festival booth that has a rotating menu. We tried an asparagus salad, lamb, and a strawberry-basil cocktail. And they recently teased their upcoming menu!

Even Asparagus Looks Pretty

Beyond the food, there are different activities you can participate in like Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration. And you can’t miss the amazing topiaries and gardens stationed throughout the park.

Adorable panda topiaries!

On the weekends, you can catch live performances from Orlando bands at the America Gardens Theatre for some fun entertainment!

Live entertainment!

The Flower and Garden Festival is sticking around until July 5th, so you’ve still got plenty of time to check it out!

Mother’s Day Treats

Mother’s Day falls on May 9th this year, but that doesn’t stop Disney World from churning out the treats early! We’ve already tried some cupcakes and a mimosa cake.

What Do You Think of This Cake?

And there will be plenty more where that came from! We’ve put together a full list of Mother’s Day treats that you can find in the parks this year. For something a little more celebratory, select Disney World restaurants, like STK, are hosting special events for Mother’s Day.

Check Out ALL the Mother’s Day Treats Here

Opening of Gelateria Toscana

The newest addition to EPCOT is coming this month! Gelateria Toscana, the new gelato stand in the Italy Pavilion, is finally making its debut after months and months of construction. We can’t wait to check it out.

Spot anything?

On the menu are over a dozen gelato flavors, gelato sundaes, sorbettos, and classic Italian desserts like cannolis and tiramisu.

You can keep an eye out for our review of Gelateria Toscana so you know what you absolutely have to try during your visit to EPCOT.

Check Out the Full Menu for Gelateria Toscana Here

Celebrate World Whisky Day at Raglan Road

Raglan Road in Disney Springs is known for its traditional Irish grub, specialty beers, and live entertainment. This month, Raglan Road is celebrating World Whisky Day from May 12th through 15th.

Raglan Road

You can try a flight of four different limited-release whiskeys from around the world for $25. Sounds like a celebration to us! While you’re there, don’t miss out on the Bangers and Mash or Fish and Chips.

See Festival of the Lion King

In case you missed it, one of the most popular shows at Disney World, Festival of the Lion King, is set to return mid-May! The show has been modified to allow for social distancing and has a new name: “A Celebration of The Festival of the Lion King.”

Rehearsals! ©Disney

The cast has been busy rehearsing the modified show and it’s one we totally have it on our do-not-miss list! We’re so excited to see live entertainment returning to Disney World!

Eat At Three Newly-Reopened Restaurants

Things at Disney World are reopening like crazy right now, and we recently got word that THREE restaurants will soon reopen to guests! First, Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is coming back with modified character dining sometime this month. AND Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which has been open with a modified character experience for breakfast, will soon reopen for dinner, too, on May 16th.

What’s Chef Mickey whipping up in the kitchen?

Finally, Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will reopen on May 18th

If you’re visiting Disney World this month, hopefully, you can work some of these activities into your plans! We’ll be sharing all the latest news you need to know to prepare for your trip so be sure to keep checking back with us!
