With the release of Disney’s newest film Cruella just this past Friday, we’ve found new merchandise on shopDisney and now food offerings in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World! We stopped by one of our favorite sweet shops on property, Amorette’s Patisserie, to try the new cake available in honor of the movie’s release. Cruella Petit – $22 With this being the second movie-themed cake released from Amorette’s this month, the Cruella version brings just as much flair as the […]
We previously toured a two-bedroom villa and a deluxe studio villa at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This week, we’re staying in a deluxe room. These are larger than a standard room and have views of Stormalong Bay, Crescent Lake, Quiet Pool, or parking. They can sleep up to six adults, with two queen beds and one queen-size sleeper sofa. Entryway A section of tile flooring leads from the door into the room. There’s a short hallway around the corner. A […]
Who is ready for the 2020 Summer Olympics? Universal Studios Florida certainly is! The resort has added new décor and food booths to celebrate the Tokyo Summer Olympics starting in July. We stopped by one of them earlier today to try some of their offerings. This booth has several different menu options to choose from, so we tried most of them. Our spread is pictured below. Agedashi Dofu Bowl – $6.49 First up is the Agedashi Dofu Bowl. This bowl […]
The Quick Service Dining Cardswere originally introduced in 2017 and allowed Disney World guests to use it as a gift card at participating quick service locations. This is available to guests who book a Walt Disney World vacation package that includes a stay at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Springs area hotels, or select good neighbor hotels with a minimum 3-day theme park ticket.
Swan & Dolphin
Recently we’ve received LOTS of questions from readers about this option popping up on the Disney website when they book a trip and if that means the Disney Dining Plan is returning, so we decided to look into it! The Quick Service Dining Card itself is NOT new, however you may see it as a pop-up option when booking a vacation package like the ones listed above.
Woody’s Lunch Box
When we went to book a Disney vacation package at a Disney-owned resort, the option did not come up for us to add a Quick Service Dining Card.
When you click on “Add Dining Card”, you can choose how many days you would like the Dining Card. Another thing to note is that this is a good way to save money on quick-service because the value of the card is MORE than what you’re actually paying!
There are some other things to note about the Quick Service Dining Cards. There is a value of $40 per day per adult, and $15 per day per child aged 3-9. The card cannot be used at the Swan & Dolphin Hotels, Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Bonnet Creek Hotels, Gateway Hotels, and Good Neighbor Hotels. Check with the quick service restaurants you wish to dine at and see if they participate.
Gaston’s Tavern
So does this mean that the Disney Dining Plan is coming back? Unfortunately no, not yet. This option has been around for quite some time, so if you see it when booking your next vacation, you’ll still have to wait to grab the Disney Dining Plan. We’ll be on the lookout for any announcements regarding the Disney Dining Plan, so stay tuned!

More bad news for Disneyland visitors hoping to score a boarding group for the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction in Galaxy’s Edge: Cast Members in the park are informing guests that the ride may not open tomorrow either. Earlier we reported that the ride would not be open at all today. The complex attraction broke down last night for almost 3 hours, and unfortunately workers have still not been able to successfully repair the ride since. Have […]
We’ve tried just about everything at Disney World, but we often wonder which restaurants are overrated and underrated according to our readers! Whether you are a fan of classic Disney restaurants like ‘Ohana, or newer restaurants like Topolino’s Terrace, we’re here to see if YOUR favorite restaurant is actually overrated!
We reached out to our readers on our Instagram story to get your opinions on which Disney World restaurants were underrated/overrated. Some of the answers were expected, and others were pretty shocking — let’s dive in and see the results of this poll!
Underrated or Overrated?
Raglan Road
For this poll, we chose restaurants from all over Disney World, so our first restaurant is located in Disney Springs! Raglan Road is an authentic Irish pub complete with live Irish music and dancing.
Raglan Road Irish Pub
It’s also known for hosting special events such as World Whiskey Day, and readers ultimately decided that this restaurant is underrated!
Raglan Road Results
66% of voters thought that Raglan Road was underrated, while the other 34% had different thoughts.
There are very few places that you can dine with animals in Disney World, and you might be thinking it’s only possible at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Well, Coral Reef in EPCOT let’s you eat IN an aquarium!
Coral Reef Aquarium Views
Although the atmosphere is unique, 63% of our readers decided this restaurant was overrated.
Coral Reef Results
I guess eating fish while looking at fish can be a bit awkward, but a LOT of you think Coral Reef not worth your time. There are plenty of other incredible restaurants in EPCOT that it’s hard to stand out!
Ahhhhh, the iconic Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! This joint is known for their over-the-top ice cream, (including the famous Kitchen Sink), and diner-style food! So, what did our readers decide about this restaurant?
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop
Beaches and Cream is still very much a fan-favorite with 68% of you voting underrated.
Beaches and Cream Results
Phew! Even though this classic restaurant has been around for a while, its charm has not disappeared yet!
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is up next! Although ‘Ohana is closed while the resort undergoes a MAJOR transformation, but do our readers feel the same way?
Be Our Guest is relatively newer to the Magic Kingdom and quickly became one of the most sought after reservations in ALL of Disney World. It seems that over time, this popular restaurant has lost some of its touch because the majority of voters think Be Our Guest is overrated!
Beast in Be Our Guest
About 39% thought that the restaurant was actually underrated, but we might have to agree with the majority here!
When you think of staple restaurants in Disney World, you might think of Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom. Who doesn’t want to eat in Cinderella Castle on their Disney World trip? Well apparently a lot of you don’t!
Cinderella’s Royal Table
A whopping 78% of you agree that Cinderella’s Royal Table is totally overrated.
One of the hidden gems on this list is Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort! It may not be on the forefront of everyone’s minds when planning a trip to Disney World, but it still has plenty of fans!
Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle
That’s why Grand Floridian Cafe was voted as underrated with 72% of the vote!
Grand Floridian Cafe Results
The restaurant serves up brunch fare including chicken and waffles, and is a must-try place, especially if you are staying at the resort.
And last but not least, we had you vote on whether Jungle Navigation Co., LTD Skipper Canteen is overrated or underrated! If you’re a big fan of the Jungle Cruise attraction there’s a good chance you enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant…
Skipper Canteen
…and it seemed our readers are BIG Jungle Cruise fans. 71% of voters agreed that Skipper Canteen is underrated!
So there you have it! Do you agree with the other 13,000 Disney fans who voted? Or was your favorite overrated? We’ll continue to do polls on our Instagram story, so stay tuned to vote on the next one! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest in Disney food news.

As COVID-19 protections change radically in Florida, Universal Studios has quickly updated their physical distancing requirements on rides. A visit to the park today revealed that Fast & Furious-Supercharged has done away with all distancing rules in line, during the pre-show and on the ride. There was very little social distancing and few masks in the queue for the ride. The pre-show was allowing for people to make their own physical distancing choices as crowds entered the room. Welcome back to theHappiest Place on Earth: the Disneyland Resort! Since the theme parks reopened a month ago, we’ve been checking in on the latest construction, food, and merchandise news.
Disneyland
We’re back today with another update on what’s new at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney!
The big foodie update this week at Disneyland is that Blue Bayou has finally reopened!
Blue Bayou
The Table Service restaurant located in New Orleans Square welcomed guests back today with a menu that for the first time ever includes alcoholic beverages! Disneyland has been known for being a dry park for many, many years (with the exception of Club 33), but things were shaken up (not stirred!) when Oga’s Cantina opened and began serving alcohol.
Hurricane Cocktail
Now, we can add Blue Bayou to the list of dining locations that serve alcohol in Disneyland Park. Seating at Blue Bayou is super limited right now, so be sure to grab a reservation as soon as you can!
Cast Member previews began this week for the new land, which officially opens on June 4th! In preparation for the previews, we also noticed tables being added to the dining area for PYM Test Kitchen, located outside of the Hyperion Theatre!
