When it comes to bars, we keep going back to La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT.

We’ve had some great drink experiences there, from an Agave Experience to some unique margaritas (like tomato) and a Not-So-Old-Fashioned. We’ve even had a special edition mezcal there — with grasshoppers! So we pay attention when something new gets added to the menu there!

La Cava del Tequila just announced the addition of a new mezcal to their menu: De Levendas Cenizo Mezcal. It’s made in the state of Durango, Mexico, and uses Cenizo agave.

It’s been described as tasting like a combination of buttered popcorn, coriander, and stone fruit. And yes, we’re going to have to try it out! It’s available now, so if you’re interested, head on over to EPCOT.

When it comes to quintessential Disney merch and collectibles, MOST of the time you need to go to Disney World or Disneyland to get your fix. The key word is “MOST.”

Sometimes, though, we spot Disney essentials in the “wild,” aka a normal store, and it’s always an adrenaline rush of pure excitement! Today, we learned about some of Disney’s most famed collectibles for sale at a popular department store chain!

Let’s face it, Disney World isn’t exactly known for its bargain prices. Reporting about price increases is a frequent occurrence around here!

Just recently, we told you about a BIG price jump for Disney Wishables at Disney World! But did you know you might be able to find them for MUCH cheaper outside the parks?!

Thanks to @RyanPopp95 on Instagram, we learned that select Wishables are being sold at Five Below, and true to form, they’re just $5! That’s quite a bit cheaper than what we’re seeing at Disney World nowadays!

Disney World never ceases to amaze and delight with its endless capacity for magic, happiness, and beauty. 

Spending our days in the parks is such a treat because we’re CONSTANTLY seeing characters, interactions, and new sights that fill us with joy, and today at Magic Kingdom we saw something so beautiful it was practically perfect in every way! 

We LIVE for a Mary Poppins sighting in Disney World! Whether we’re waving from afar or stocking up on Mary Poppins merch, there’s something so lovely about the classic character that always makes us smile!

Today, while strolling around Magic Kingdom, we were treated to a different kind of Mary Poppins sighting: a sea of gorgeous parasols! 

We audibly gasped with delight when we spotted them in Liberty Square — beautiful and intricate parasols illustrated with flowers, pretty patterns, and Mary Poppins herself! 

The parasols are customizable and vary wildly in style and tone.

Our favorite, though, had to be the frilly white parasol, with the iconic phrase “Practically perfect in every way” under Mary Poppins’ shoe and a bunch of hearts!

It’s moments like these — unexpected and utterly lovely — that warm our hearts and remind us how special the Most Magical Place on Earth really is!

When visiting the Magic Kingdom, you will have to make some hard choices!

In every single land, it seems like there are decisions to be made! Should you ride Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? Should you buy a Disney World T-shirt or Minnie ears?!

And no land has MORE decisions to make than Fantasyland, which is why we put together a fun game of Fantasyland This or That on our Instagram!

We started off, of course, with what to eat in Fantasyland, and this one was a DOOZY! Between sweets from Storybook Treats or Gaston’s Tavern generally, 51% of you chose ice cream, Dole Whip, and floats from Storybook Treats! That was a close one!

Specifically, when it comes to drinks and refreshing snacks at those spots, the results were less divisive. When having to choose just ONE snack, 60% of you guys picked the Peter Pan Float from Storybook Treats, while just 40% of you would head to Gaston’s Taven for a LeFou’s Brew.

For a quick service meal, there was an EVEN SPLIT between Pinocchio Village Haus and The Friar’s Nook! Pizza and tots are both CLASSIC theme park snacks, so we kind of get it.

But when it comes to table service dining, the competition was MUCH less stuff. 77% of you would rather do the price fixe dinner in the Beast’s Castle at Be Our Guest than dine with Cinderella herself at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

For pastries, Gaston’s Tavern FINALLY wins! 64% of you chose to snack on Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll versus 36% of you who’d chase down a Cheshire Cat Tail.

Fantasyland is home to some of Disney World’s most beloved rides, two of which are RIGHT across the pathway from each other: Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world.” When it comes down to it, though, 69% of you would rather fly in your boat over London than take the happiest cruise to ever set sail.

PHEW! Those choices were hard! We honestly hope we never actually have to choose between a Cinnamon Roll and Cheshire Cat Tail!

It’s an exciting day in Disney World!

Although Disney’s Beach Club Resort partially reopened last summer, today marks the FULL reopening of this hotel. So of course, we stopped by to check it all out!

Like we mentioned, the Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Beach Club reopened last year, so this hotel has technically been open for a while now. However, starting today, non-DVC rooms here are available, too. That means anyone and everyone can book a stay!

Arriving

It was exciting to see cars pulling up as guests began to arrive to check-in. Also, Valet Parking is available here.

And of course, Cast Members were on hand to help guests with anything they might need!

Lobby

The lobby has been open for quite a while, so not much has changed here. Look at how gorgeous it is though!

The Cast Members, though, have told us how happy they are to have everyone back.

The elevators have signs indicating that only one party is allowed in an elevator at a time.

This is the case with other Disney World resorts, too.

Rooms

We checked out an area with rooms, and things were pretty quiet.

That will change soon, though, as more guests arrive!

Dining

You’ve got quite a few dining options here. Your Quick Service spot will be Beach Club Marketplace. For Table Service, you can opt for the recently-reopened Cape May Cafe. This spot serves up breakfast and New England-inspired dinner. Just keep in mind that character dining is unavailable for now.

You can also stop by Beaches & Cream, the ice cream shop out by the Stormalong Bay pool area. This remains one of our favorite spots to chow down in Disney World, and it’s certainly worth a visit, especially if you are staying here. Lastly, Martha’s Vineyard offers a relaxing lounge environment.

Again, all of these spots have been available prior to Beach Club’s “official” reopening today. You’ll want to keep them in mind if you’re staying here!

Shopping

Beach Club Marketplace doubles as this hotel’s store, although guests also have easy access to shopping at Disney’s Yacht Club, too.

We even confirmed that The Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club is now open until 11PM!

Outdoor and Pool Areas

Stormalong Bay is OPEN to guests of Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

Well, that’s all for our tour of Disney’s Beach Club Resort! Not much has changed here since our last visit, except for the fact that the non-DVC rooms are now available to guests. We’ll continue to keep an eye on reopenings around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB!

With each passing day, we’re getting more and more excited about Marvel! 

Between Avengers Campus, the new Loki series, and ALL the heroic merch, it’s SUCH an exciting time to be a Marvel fan! Naturally, we’ve had our eye on the upcoming Marvel hotel at Disneyland Paris, and today Disney is sharing even MORE design details about the resort! 

Slowly but surely, Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel is coming together at Disneyland Paris. 

The first EVER hotel to be inspired by Marvel artwork, it’s a HUGE deal for Marvel fans…or anyone interested in art and design! 

With the opening of the hotel inching closer, Disney posted an interview with Sylvie Massara, art director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, and Scenographer Thomas Muller, to Disney Parks Blog, sharing more details about the colorful property! Spoiler alert: it involves an INSTANTLY iconic chandelier! 

A centerpiece design fixture for the hotel, a HUGE chandelier is front-and-center in the Manhattan Restaurant. As Massara explains, they wanted to recreate the elegant atmosphere of a high-end new York dining experience. 

They also wanted something that would provide a central “wow” factor. It’s got a detailed upside-down pyramid shape, with materials and colors inspired both by the realm of Asgard and Manhattan skyscrapers! 

Massara explains further that designers from Prague were responsible for the glasswork and craftsmanship that went into the elaborate chandelier, with each piece traditionally glass-blown. All in all, there are more than 225 glass pieces, each silver-plated with pure silver, in the 4-meter tall chandelier, and it took a YEAR to create!

Naturally, a shimmering behemoth like this is QUITE heavy, so they had to reinforce the dining room ceiling in order to hold it. As Massara summarizes, they wanted this fixture to become an iconic element of the guest experience, and by the looks of it, we’d say mission accomplished!
