Disney World pool bars are the place to be lately!
We’ve recently been super impressed with The Drop Off Pool Bar at Disney’s Art of Animation, and we’ve recently tried fun drinks from there called the Tipsy Rabbit and the Fish Tank. Today, we noticed a new milkshake that transported us to winter!
Seasonal drinks come through The Drop Off Pool Bar frequently depending on the holiday, and even though it is May, the newest drink took us back to Christmas! It’s called the Churro Horchata Milkshake, and not only is it topped with a mini churro, but you can grab a side of mini churros for $5.89.
The drink is made of a Vanilla milkshake with Cinnamon Nutmeg Rice Milk and Captain Morgan Spiced Rum. Plus, as we said, it’s topped with a mini churro! Alright, it sounds pretty great — especially if you like Horchata — but how does this thing actually taste?
Before we ordered, the Cast Member told us that this milkshake was perfect if we were missing Christmas and want something really sweet. We have to say that the Cast Member was totally accurate!

We couldn’t imagine drinking more than one of these in a day, and if you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, you’ll probably want to share. We think this would be delightful as dessert or a drink later on in the day. It has the right shake consistency and the alcohol and cinnamon are not too overpowering.
The mini churro on top tasted very similar to the ones we’ve had at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in the Magic Kingdom, so we had no complaints here! This is a fun topping for a milk shake that we don’t see too often. We have seen a similar flavor combination before over at Disneyland Resort with the Horchata Churro, but now it’s in milkshake form!
You can grab this at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for $12! You’ll want to hurry though because pool bars tend to switch out specialty drinks all of the time, so it may not stick around very long! We’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest in Disney World food, so stay tuned.
