Things are constantly changing in Disney World — new mask rules, distancing changes, menu updates, and more.
One thing we’ve seen quite a bit of lately are price increases. We’ve seen price increases impact everything from Wishables plushes to some fan-favorite snacks. Recently, we noticed some price increases and menu changes have been made at 2 EPCOT restaurants (one of which is still temporarily closed)!
Love eating in the Japan pavilion in EPCOT? Maybe Teppan Edo is your favorite spot or you just can’t get enough of Tokyo Dining (and are hoping it reopens very soon). Well, if these are some of your favorite spots to eat at, you’ll want to be aware that dining at these places might cost you a little MORE during your next trip!
That’s right, price increases have made their way over to Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining recently (as well as a few menu changes) and we’re breaking it all down for you here.
Teppan Edo

Here are some of the menu changes we’ve noticed:
- The menu now lists a Wagyu Short Rib dish as an appetizer — it’s braised in soy ginger glaze with curry carrot sauce, crisped garlic, and fried turnip — $27
- The Spicy roll now notes that it is made with seaweed wrap and does not mention that it contains sesame oil
- The Filet Mignon used to be served with a sunomono salad, but now it notes that it is served with a garden salad. The menu also now specifically states that it is a 6oz tenderloin USDA choice.
- The NY Cut Steak also notes that it’s served with a garden salad (as opposed to sunomono salad) and udon noodles as well (in addition to the vegetables and steamed white rice)
- The Julienne Steak, Salmon, Ebi, Tori, and Hotate (scallops) all note that they are now served with a garden salad instead of the sunomono salad.
- The Yasai seasonal vegetables note that they are served with garden salad and udon noodles now (instead of the sunomono salad)
- You’ll generally find that many other entrees have also changed to remove sunomono salad and are now served with garden salad (and potentially udon noodles and vegetables as well)
- The Tsukiji combination (scallop and steak) has been removed from the menu
- You can also now get a Wagyu Filet (3oz) as an add-on for $90
- Kids entrees no longer include the option of a Julienned Steak
- It seems most of the sake are no longer served in a carafe, but now the menu specifies that they are 8oz servings or other specific serving sizes. One of them continues to note, however, that it is served in a carafe.
- There are some premium liquors now listed on the menu — specifically the Haku Vodka ($13), Roku Gin ($13), and Legent Bourbon ($15)
- There is some Japanese whiskey listed on the menu now too — specifically, Kaiyo (single: $25, double $35); and Tiki (single: $15, double: $23)
Tokyo Dining
Even though Tokyo Dining is temporarily closed, we’ve spotted some changes on its menu too. The main price increases here appear to be with regards to the drinks menu. Here’s a look at some of them:

- Some wine prices have increased too including the Hakutsuru Plum Wine (bottle is $39 now, previously $38; glass is $11, previously $10); Kris Pinot Grigio (bottle $39, previously $38; glass $11, previously $10), and other similar price increases for a few of the other wines

And that’s a basic look at the changes at these 2 spots. What restaurants will get menu changes or price increases next? We’ll be sure to look for updates and let you know what we find.
