It seems like Disney World is undergoing constant changes these days.
Today, the mask requirement ended in most circumstances for fully vaccinated guests, and we got news that fireworks are returning to the parks SOON. But as safety policies continue to shift, we’ve noticed an important change on the Disney World website.
The Disney World website lists all of the current health and safety procedures throughout the parks, such as mask-wearing, sanitation, and more. A screenshot from today highlights several components — but social distancing has been removed.
As a reminder, “physical distancing” used to be one of the icons on this webpage. There also used to be a larger chunk of text detailing what social distancing entailed throughout the parks, which you can see below. Now, the website only says that physical distancing is being altered due to “recent trends and guidance.”
One of the big changes at Disney World today was the elimination of mandated social distancing, in most cases. While some experiences and entertainment will continue to distance guests, we are seeing markers removed from queues, shops, and more. It seems like these shifts are now officially recognized on the website, with the removal of social distancing language.
If you’re visiting Disney World soon, know that social distancing will not be largely enforced throughout the parks. We’ll continue to bring you the latest news as things continue to change, so stay tuned to DFB!
