58% of Our Readers Got This Disney World Attraction Question WRONG

There’s always somethin’ going on when it comes to our DFB Instagram stories!

Sometimes we take you along for a fun day in the parks!

We love asking for YOUR opinion on Disney World, sharing some behind-the-scenes of our team, and asking some tricky trivia. And recently, we had a pop quiz for ya!

So friends, if you REALLY think you know your Disney parks, here one’s for you: where else in Disney World can you hear the voice of the Old Prospector from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

The answer? Well, that same guy that tells you to hold onto your hats and glasses voices Ben Franklin in EPCOT’s The American Adventure!

The American Adventure

Now, while about 42% of our readers got this question RIGHT, the rest of you guys picked something else. The most popular choice, after The American Adventure, was the Carousel of Progress! That old-timey voice sure could fit right in there.

It’s the American Adventure!

And if you think you recognize his voice from somewhere else, Dallas McKennon is ALSO in PinocchioLady and the TrampSleeping Beauty, and more. What a career, right?!

You’ll find Dallas McKennon here, too!

Did YOU know the answer? Let us know in the comments! And stay tuned to our Instagram stories for plenty more fun trivia.

Grab-and-Go is Back at a Popular Disney World Resort!

How many times have you placed a Mobile Order at Disney World and just sat there waiting while your stomach was yelling at you to JUST EAT SOMETHING?!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Several aspects of Disney are returning to normal including health and safety measures, and the reopening of restaurants and experiences. Today, we noticed that a popular Disney World perk is opening back up!

No more missing the bus while waiting on a quick snack! The Grab-and-Go at Disney’s Art of Animation is officially back in action!

Grab and Go is NOW open!

Once you walk into the lobby at Art of Animation, you will be greeted with a sign directing you where to go for Landscape of Flavors, the main counter-service option at Art of Animation.

Shopping to the Left and Grubbing to the Right!

Once you have entered Landscape of Flavors you will see the Grab-and-Go section stocked with delicious treats and beverages. You will see items like cereal, milk, juice, soft drinks, pastries, and desserts. And yes, that amazing mermaid cupcake is still around for the summer!

No More Missing the Bus!

We also checked out Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and grab-and-go was still closed here.

Still closed

Among the many things returning this one brings much more added convenience to the guests staying at the resorts and we are excited for this option to return everywhere soon! Keep your eyes here for more updates on reopenings around the parks!

RUMOR: All UK Disney Stores Closing Except Flagship London Location

a4d3f96e-3320-4528-92ad-591b0c09dc45

All Disney Stores in the UK are reportedly closing except for the flagship location in London. We learned earlier this year that at least 20% of physical Disney Stores would be closing, and later learned that all Canadian locations would close. Reports indicate that many more stores beyond these original projections are closing worldwide, but Disney has yet to publicly state this. As always, keep following WDWNT for all of your Disney news, and for the absolute latest, follow WDW […]

PHOTOS: 50th Anniversary Decorations Falling Off Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, Were Held with Command Strip

cinderella-castle-broken-bunting-8950

One of the jewels from a piece of 50th-anniversary bunting decoration on Cinderella Castle has fallen off. The jewel is missing from one of the turrets on the west side of Cinderella Castle. The broken decoration is visible when approaching the front of the castle. It was actually the first piece of bunting visible from Main Street, U.S.A. A circle remains where the jewel was previously adhered to the golden piece. It looks like it was held on with a […]

‘Ohana Updates, Bacon of DOOM, and More Disney World Menu Updates!

Hello from Florida! It’s almost summer and we’ve been busy indulging in some very yummy summer treats!

Peach Melba Cupcake. Yum.

We’re talking about new Starbucks drinks, a boozy cake, and a $20 Cruella cake (and we’d pay that again)! But we’ve also been excited about some restaurant reopenings (‘Ohana – yay!), as well as checking out the menus for restaurants all over Disney World!

So let’s get on with the menu updates!

Magic Kingdom

Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen

While you’re enjoying the punny food at Skipper Canteen, be sure to check out some of the new beverages there. You can now get Seagram’s Gingerale and Vitaminwater Açai Blueberry Pomegranate as a Fountain Beverage.

Skipper Canteen

There’s also a new wine on tap here: Altos Las Hormigas Malbec, Argentina for $13 per glass.

‘Ohana

We cannot tell you how stoked we are about the reopening of ‘Ohana on July 9th! And ahead of that reopening, we’ve seen the new menus, including breakfast. Meals here will be served family-style, with breakfast starters of seasonal fruit as well as freshly-made pineapple-coconut breakfast bread(Note: this is the same breakfast menu as pre-closure.)

Pineapple Coconut Bread. YUM.

Then the breakfast skillet is back and includes Hua Paka (scrambled eggs), Uala Kahiki (fried potatoes), Biscuits, Pua’a (pork breakfast sausage links and Hawaiian-style ham topped with pineapple compote), and Mickey waffles.

Breakfast Skillet at ‘Ohana

Plant-based Breakfast Skillet available. This includes “Eggs,” Uala Kahiki (fried potatoes), Cinnamon-Sugar Donut, “Sausage,” and allergy-friendly Mickey waffles.

For specialty drinks, guests can choose from coffee, as well as character-inspired smoothies.

©Disney

There are also some boozy options, including Mimosa-Your-Way and the Lapu Lapu.

©Disney

Breakfast is $15 to $34.99 per adult, and we recommend making reservations asap!

Dinner is also the same as it was pre-closure. It includes some favorite appetizers, like the Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings and Pork Dumplings Tossed in Garlic-Ginger Sauce, as well as all those yummy meats for Entrees, and the ONLY way to end a meal at ‘Ohana — the Bread Pudding

©Disney

But something was initially missing — WHERE ARE THE NOODLES (Lo Mein Noodles tossed in Teriyaki Sauce)? Although they did not initially appear on the menu, Disney did confirm they would return – whew (and they now appear on the menu).

We love you, Noodles

We also got a look at the dinner drink menu, and there is a LOT to choose from, including Signature Cocktails like the Backscratcher and the Polynesian Mai Tai

©Disney

…to the Magical Star Cocktail and Bahama Mama

©Disney

…to some fun mocktails!

©Disney

There’s also a selection of beer…

©Disney

…and wine!

You can count on us to be there at ‘Ohana’s grand reopening, so we’ll be reporting live from there on July 9th — stay tuned!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Maya Grill

Maya Grill will reopen on June 24th and we’ve got the menu updates! Please note that only dinner will be served here upon reopening. There have been some minor changes to the menu since the restaurant’s closure last year:

  • Shrimp Mojo has replaced Tempura Rock Shrimp
  • Empanadas are now topped with Spicy Ranchero instead of Chipotle
  • REMOVED: Queso Fundido
  • NEW: Traditional Taco Salad, Fiesta Salad, and Ensalada Caesar Salad.

©Disney

There are a few changes, too:

  • NEW: Plant-based Chicken Enchiladas
  • NEW: Bacon Cheddar Burger
  • NEW: Monterey Chicken Sandwich
  • Rib-Eye is now served in taco form instead of hand-cut.

©Disney

Sides available include Chipotle Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Poblano Potatoes Gratin, and Yucca Fries (with a price decrease) — but you can also now get Plantain Rice, Seasoned French Fries, or Fried Plantains!

Dessert still includes the Sorbet, but Churros are also now available. Missing, though, is the Ancho Creme Brûlée.

©Disney

There’s also a HUGE selection of beverages, including specialty drinks, beer, wine, cocktails, and — of course — tequila!

Disney Springs

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

The Bacon of Doom has returned! This is Thick-cut Applewood-smoked Bacon dipped in The Ganachery’s Milk Chocolate and Chipotle Ganache served with your choice of a shareable smoked cocktail for $32. And yes, the addition of the cocktail is new! And when they say “smoked,” they mean it!

Look at all that smoke!

The cocktail choice includes Trusty Revolver: Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Tipplers Orange Liqueur, and Luxardo Cherries. Smoked and served with an Ice Sphere OR Snake Bite Margarita: Herradura Reposado Tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, and Tipplers Orange Liqueur, with Sweet-and-Sour, and Lime Juice. Smoked and served with an Ice Sphere. Hurry, though — this is only available through September 6th.

Um…Disney World, Why Is This Character Naked?

When you go to Disney World nearly every day like we do, you see some things… .

Goofy is shocked!

And we’ve certainly seen some odd things: abandoned Dole Whips, lonely balloons, ducks on dates, a throwdown between shoes, and all kinds of other strange happenings. But today, we saw what might be one of the most shocking things ever!

Brace yourself — and note that these photos are not for the faint of heart or easily offended. Are you ready?

Because we were at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort today and we spotted a Disney character NAKED! 😮

Put some clothes on, Sheriff!!!

It seems that Sheriff from the Disney/Pixar Cars film was missing his clothes today — or rather the shell that makes him look like…well…him. We don’t know what happened to his clothes, but they’re probably getting spiffed up.

He doesn’t look right

We’re sure someone will return his shell to him soon, but we thought it was funny how strange he looks without it! And it’s interesting to see what’s underneath the Disney magic, too, right? But of course, now we’ll never unsee naked Sheriff, so there’s that!

And if we spot any other funny and unusual things at Disney World, we’ll be sure to share them!
