Who Wore The Mustache Better: Walt Disney Or This Disney World Snack?

It’s Father’s Day, which means we’re trying out some special treats today!

Le Petit Cafe

We’ve been trying out all the Father’s Day snacks we can find, including one with a strange-looking chocolate cigar on it, a Darth Vader cake that had us in stitches, and a Fruit Tart that sort of blew us away.

But the snack we found today is one we’ve had before — but it got dressed up for Father’s Day. We typically like the Hazelnut-Caramel Profiteroles from Le Petit Cafe at Disney’s Riviera Resort, but today, that snack got a special Father’s Day makeover. And y’all — not only is Disney STILL going hard on the mustache trend, but this snack is now wearing a top hat!

LOOK AT HIM!

Although this is a simple stack of four cream puffs, this new look has really given this treat a LOT of personality.

Just checking out the resort…

However, at one point, we realized that this little guy bears a striking resemblance to the man who made it all happen, Walt Disney himself! Wait…what? Is this like a little Walt snack?

Who wore it better?

We’ve liked this dessert in the past — it’s sweet, but not TOO sweet. And the inside holds a surprise, a coffee flavor we never expected. We’re still not sure why that cream has such a strong coffee flavor, but it’s a must for coffee lovers. And in case you were wondering, both the top hat and mustache are edible (they’re chocolate!).

Inside…

If you want to grab what may be the cutest — and funniest — snack at Disney World, head on over to the Riviera today (we suspect this is a one-day offering) to grab one for $6.99. And we’ll let you know if we find more Father’s Day snacks today!

The Mon Calamari was missing for almost a week, though his audio continued to play. Watch a video of Bek’s animatronic back in place below. Additionally, multiple parties are now being seated together in the same car and sometimes the same row, which each seat up to four guests. What You NEED to Know About Disney World’s Fall Park Hours

We’re getting ready for a BUSY summer in Disney World!

Slinky Dog Dash

With capacity increasing, fireworks returning, and restaurants reopening, it’s going to be a chaotic few months in the parks. But if you’re visiting a little later in the year, you may notice that something seems a little…off.

Disney World’s summer park hours are pretty long, with 10PM — and even 11PM — closings. But if you look into the fall, you may notice that’s not the case. In fact, beginning in August, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are back to 9PM closings, with Disney’s Animal Kingdom shutting down at a nice ‘n’ early 6PM. So what does it all MEAN?

Looks like this park is closing EARLY!

It’s easy to assume that Disney World is simply cutting back on their hours once the summer crowds disappear. But this may not be the case. In recent months, we’ve seen Disney frequently extending park hours as the dates in question get closer. When park hours were first announced for the week of July 4th, Magic Kingdom was scheduled for a 9PM closing. Now, it’s not closing until 11PM!

Splash Mountain

In fact, Disney seems to be going week-by-week, extending those hours. Most recently, we saw more hours in July get extended (as well as random extensions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs). Late July and August, we’re lookin’ at you next.

Disney Springs

Now, Disney After Hours BOO Bash is taking place on select nights from August through October — so we’d still expect Magic Kingdom to close fairly early on those days (at least to the general public). But as for the rest of fall? Don’t panic just yet! We’ve got a feeling those hours could eventually get extended, too. At least we hope!

Mickey Pumpkin

So how can you stay in the know? Keep a close eye on Disney World’s park hours on their website or the My Disney Experience app. We’ll also let you know here at DFB each time hours are extended, so look out for any dates that could affect your visit. And as always, stay tuned to DFB for any other Disney news!

Warning: Small Spoilers for Luca ahead!

Recently, Variety shared a list of popular easter eggs from the Luca! Here are some of the latest finds! The first easter egg is the name on this boat! You may recognize it from the film Coco! Miguel’s grandmother’s name was Elena, making this a nice nod to another great Pixar movie!

Next, when Luca and Alberto meet Giulia, her bedroom is full of easter eggs! The first is a small Donald Duck plush by her bed! Do you see him?

©Disney-Pixar

On top of that, she has Le Avventure Di Pinocchio in her book collection! This detail is not just a reference to the Disney film Pinocchio, but also a nod to the Italian Riviera setting of Luca.

Of course, what’s a Pixar movie without the Luxo ball? You can spot it on a rooftop near the final part of Luca!

In the final moments of Luca, we get the signature A113 easter egg, a reference to the famous CalArts classroom! You’ll find this in basically every Pixar film, but in Luca, you can spot it on the ticket to Genova that Luca receives!

PHOTOS: EPCOT Entrance Enhancements Continue with New Speaker Installation for Nighttime Projection Show

new-epcot-speakers-8872

New speakers have been mounted beneath the Monorail track at the entrance to EPCOT. These sleek modern speakers can be found mounted to the sides of the track supports. These replace old out-of-date speakers that were previously mounted in the same spots. The speakers were not playing the standard background music for the EPCOT entrance, so they are likely going to be used during the upcoming projections for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Multiple supports have the speakers.

If you take a backpack or purse with you to Walt Disney World, you might have a list of favorite items you always bring with you into the parks.

What do you take in your bag?

But if you like to be EXTRA prepared, we have a list of 10 items you can find at Target that you may or may not have thought of and could save you a LOT of trouble!

We explored the Target website to find the best items you can take with you in the parks that also fit in any average sized backpack or purse.

Staying Cool and Hydrated

Stainless Steel Water Bottle

On hot days in Disney Parks the thirst is real. This 17.5oz Double Vacuum Stainless Steel Water Bottle is small enough to fit into a bag but will keep your water ice cold, even in the heat.

©Target

With more refillable water stations popping up around Disney Parks, a water bottle is an easy way to keep water on you at all times. This water bottle is only $6.00!

Shop for a stainless steel water bottle here!

Pedialyte Electrolyte Packets

Speaking of thirst, it’s very easy to get dehydrated in the Disney Parks, especially in the summertime, and especially when your typical Disney day may consist of Starbucks coffee and drinking around the world in EPCOT. These Pedialyte Electrolyte Packets aren’t just for kids, and they’re light enough that you can carry several packets at a time.

©Target

All you have to do is pour one packet into 8oz of water for quick rehydration. For $8.79 for 8 packets and 4 different flavors, we think these are a must have for all Disney Parks visits.

Get your Pedialyte Electrolyte Packets here!

Misting Fan

We’ve talked about the Florida heat and how to stay hydrated, but how do we stay cool? This O2COOL Elite Handheld Misting Fan! It mists, it fans, it does it all.

©Target

For $8.99, make room in your bag for this baby to help cool you down when the heat is too much.

Stay cool with a misting fan here!

Chapstick

After all the salty pretzels and beer, your lips will probably be thirsty. Never forget a tube of chapstick in your bag, and we love Burt’s Bees Lip Balm.

©Target

These come in a pack of 2 so when you inevitably lose one tube you automatically have a backup! These go for $7.49.

Keep your lips hydrated with Burt’s Bees!

For Your Skin

Mini Sunscreen

This might be a no brainer for some of you, but sunscreen is incredibly important in the Florida sun and you need to reapply sunscreen every few hours for it to be effective.

©Target

Target has the Banana Boat Ultra Sport Clear Sunscreen Spray in SPF 30 in a 1.8oz travel size and it’s lightweight and small enough to fit into every bag for only $1.99!

Get your travel size sunscreen here!

First Aid Kit

Okay, we know what you might be thinking: there’s a First Aid Station in every Disney Park! But what if you’re halfway across the park from the First Aid Station and you need a bandaid?

©Target

This Travel First Aid Kit will fit into most bags, even small bags, and prevents you from having to trek across the park to find a bandaid. We think $4.99 is worth it for that convenience.

Pick up a Travel First Aid Kit here!

Avoid the Chafe

Anti Chafe Balm

Waddling around Disney World due to chafing is not exactly the park visit of our dreams. The Body Glide Original Anti Chafe Balm comes in a tiny 0.5oz size convenient for your pocket or your bag.

©Target

A quick swipe of this on your thighs and you can kiss chafing goodbye. It even works on your heels or toes if the cute shoes you decided to wear keep giving you blisters! For $7.49, this is a must have for all Disney Parks trips.

Avoid the dreaded chafe by clicking here!

Blister Band-Aids

If your anti chafe balm fails, there’s always blister bandaids to the rescue! Keep these Band-Aid Brand Hydro Seal Adhesive Bandages for Heel Blisters on you at all times to avoid that miserable feeling of your shoe rubbing on your blisters when you still have a whole day ahead of you in the Parks.

©Target

A box of 6 blister Band-Aids will run you $3.99.

Shop for blister band-aids here!

Keep Your Money and Tickets Organized

Small Card Case

If you want to prioritize space in your bag, a giant wallet isn’t exactly helpful. This Small Card Case by A New Day let’s you keep all your essential cards with you while taking up almost no space!

©Target

It comes in several different colors and only costs $6.00.

Pick your small card case color here!

Stay Charged

Portable Battery

It may surprise you how quickly your phone battery drains, especially as you check the My Disney Experience App for wait times and reservations a million times throughout the day. Don’t leave for a day at the Parks without a portable battery!

©Target

We love this Anker PowerCore 10400mAh 2-Port Power Bank with 2 USB ports so 2 people can charge at the same time. It’s not cheap at $29.99 but definitely a must have in Disney Parks. If you want to get one in the parks you can look into the FuelRod option.

Stay charged by grabbing your own power bank here!
