Disney World Fireworks Showtimes for the Month of July

We haven’t seen an official fireworks show in Walt Disney World in over a YEAR!

Fireworks Testing

There were a few flares around the holidays, as well as some random fireworks testing, but not a full show! Recently we learned that fireworks will be returning to Walt Disney World on July 1st, and now we have official times for the shows! Take a look.

Happily Ever After, the fireworks show in Magic Kingdom, will take place at 9:15 starting July 1st!

The 18-minute spectacular will be at 9:15 for the entire month of July.

And after the show, you still have time to enjoy the park, because Magic Kingdom just extended their hours for the month of July! From July 1st through July 10th, the park will now be open until 11PM, up from the previous closing time of 9PM.

And from July 11th until July 31st.

The park will be open until 10PM (originally 9PM).

We also now know that Epcot Forever, the temporary nighttime fireworks at the park until Harmonious is ready, will happen right at park closing, which is 10PM.

As of right now, fireworks have not been announced for Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. But we’ll keep you updated if we hear anything, so stay tuned to DFB!

What’s New in EPCOT: Big Restaurant Price Increases and Food and Wine Festival Booths

Greetings from EPCOT!

Spaceship Earth

We’re here to tell you all about everything NEW in EPCOT, from food, construction, merchandise, and more! Let’s get started!

EPCOT Food Updates

La Cava del Tequila

We found three NEW drinks inside Mexico’s famous tequila cave! The first was the Spicy Mentirosa which is a non-alcoholic option made with Lyre’s Italian Orange, Non-alcoholic Lyre’s Dry London, lime juice, cucumber and jalapeno juice, agave nectar, and a hibiscus salt rim for $13. It was pretty spicy but also had a light citrus taste!

Looks refreshing!

Next, we tried the new secret menu item called the Virgin Colada. As you can tell by the name, it’s a non-alcohol drink with island oasis mix blended with ice and costs $10.64. It was sweet and refreshing, and had a strong pineapple flavor!

Perfect for the kiddos!

But THEN, we found out there’s an *alcoholic* version of this drink, there’s a Pina Colada on the secret menu! It’s made with the same island oasis mix but is blended with a mixture of rum and pox (which is a Mexican liquor). The booze bumps this drink up a little to $15.45.

If you like Pina Coladas, and gettin’ caught in the rain…

It was great to see some new non-alcoholic drinks at La Cava, and it’s fun getting to use the secret menu!

Chefs de France

While in EPCOT, we saw some new menu pics up in the France pavilion because there have been price increases at a few of the restaurants! At Chefs de France, we saw several items go up slightly in price.

Even more expensive now!

For example: As far as appetizers go, the Escargot is now $14.95 instead of $14, the French Onion Soup is $10.75 instead of $10.50, and the Baked Goat Cheese is $14.25 instead of $13.99.

L’Artisan des Glaces

There were also price increases over at L’Artisan des Glaces. Their entire menu got more expensive! A single scoop of ice cream or sorbet is now $5.75 instead of $4.69 and our favorite Macaron Ice Cream Sandwiches are now $7 instead of $4.69. Yikes!

It’s HOW MUCH for a macaron sandwich?

We don’t love to see our favorite snacks get pricier!

EPCOT Construction Updates

Food and Wine Booths

We saw FOUR Food and Wine booths pop up this week around EPCOT! Two of them were familiar, like this one that looks exactly like the Flavors From Fire booth and is in the same place as last year.

Flavors From Fire, maybe?

And this booth, which looks just like Spain!

Possible Spain Booth

Then there were two we didn’t recognize, like this one, which used to be the Africa booth. But since the Africa booth is not returning this year, it’s probably one of the new booths coming to the festival!

Food and Wine Booth

We also found this booth, which is a mystery to us, too! It’s located near Disney Traders in the World Showcase Plaza.

Who are you?

It’s pretty weird that some of these booths are already up, considering 8 festival booths aren’t opening until October 1st!

Click here to read more about these festival booths we found!

Harmonious

We saw people on a crane working on the center Harmonious barge in the World Showcase Lagoon! They seemed to be doing a LED light test, we saw some lights turn on around the ring and on the arms, and then they changed colors!

Testing the lights!

We can’t wait to see Harmonious once it opens!

Click here to read more about Harmonious!

Creations Shop

There was a lot of construction going on around the new Creations Shop, which will take over as EPCOT’s main merchandise location now that Mouse Gear is gone.

Working away!

We saw a few workers up on the roof!

Click here to read more about the Creations Shop!

Spaceship Earth

We noticed construction going on near the old exit of Spaceship Earth by The Seas.

What’s going on back there?

This could possibly be the new Moana attraction — Journey of Water, but we can’t be quite sure!

Click here to read more about the new Moana attraction!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates

Gateway Gifts

We saw the new MagicBand holder key chains in Gateway Gifts in a variety of different styles!

Do you like the key chains better than the normal MagicBands?

That Stitch one is SO cute!

Click here to read more about how MagicBands are changing!

EPCOT Additional Updates

The Splash Zone is open again in EPCOT.

Time to cool off!

And so is the playground.

The playground is back!

We also found a new Cruella Magic Shot in the UK pavilion!

There’s the photographer!

It’s located in the back across from the gazebo and you stand on the steps of the building to take the shot!

Cruella, where you at?

And if you’re looking to explore the Morocco pavilion, you may think it is closed. But alas, it is not. The main part of the pavilion is almost completely blocked by bushes, but you can still get back there!

It looks closed, but it’s not!

Morocco has been undergoing a lot of construction, so the bushes are most likely covering up whatever is being worked on!

A ghost town!

This is a great spot to go if you want to be away from people, cause there was almost NO ONE back there!

Social Distancing

We noticed that the social distancing stickers are GONE in the line you wait in to get inside the pyramid in Mexico.

No more markers!

And there are no markers when you walk inside the pyramid either.

Stand wherever you want, I guess!

That’s everything new from EPCOT this week! We’re always in the parks to see what’s new, so stay tuned to DFB for updates!

UPDATE: Walt Disney World Restaurants Bringing Back Condiment Bottles and Salt & Pepper Shakers

50s-prime-time-condiments-7460779

We are seeing a number of changes today around the Walt Disney World Resort as physical distancing measures are removed and masks are no longer required in most areas for vaccinated guests. While it’s not as big a deal as the return of fireworks to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, sometimes even the smallest changes can bring us joy. Earlier today, a Facebook user sent us a photo from the 50’s Prime Time Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where ketchup, […]
