The new ride, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, debuted alongside the reopening of Universal Studios Hollywood on April 16. Since then, the attraction has primarily used a virtual queue. However, the ride has not been using the virtual line system for several days now, with only a traditional standby line available. The new ride introduced a virtual line system similar to the one already in place at Universal Orlando Resort. In Florida, virtual line availability does vary […]

PHOTOS: One Ride’s Pre-Show Has FINALLY Returned in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

When Disney World first reopened after the pandemic-related closures, many things changed.

There are so many hidden details on this ride!

To help people keep a safe distance from one another, social distancing markers were placed throughout attraction queues, guests were loaded onto some attractions differently than they used to be, and pre-shows were generally being skipped in rides, like at the Haunted Mansion, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and more. BUT, today we noticed a big change particularly when it comes to pre-shows over at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

When we hopped in line for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway today, we noticed that a few things were different. First, distancing markers in the queue had generally been removed. We’ve noticed this happening at other attractions in Disney World recently as well.

Distancing on Disney’s Rides and Lines is Changing

Guests were also filling in all the space in the lines and lines were crossing next to each other as they used to.

Filling In All That Space

And then we walked into the pre-show area and the pre-show began!

The Pre-Show Has Returned

That’s right folks — nothing can stop us now…the pre-show for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is back!

It’s BACK!

If you were missing this pre-show (or perhaps have never even seen it because you’ve only visited during the last few months), you can once again enjoy it in the park.

Nothing Can Stop Us Now!

We even got to see the cool explosion effect that then opens up into the space where you board the ride vehicle.

Oh Goofy!

A lot of things have been changing recently in Disney World. Disney World previously announced that starting June 15th, masks will be optional in most spaces for those who are fully vaccinated, and distancing will be reduced.

We expect we’ll continue to see more changes when it comes to Disney World’s rides and other policies around the parks as these updated rules are implemented. We’ll keep an eye out for more changes and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for all the latest Disney news.

Could Ads be Coming to Disney+? Find Out What the Disney CEO Said Today

Disney+ has been a force in the streaming world since it launched in fall of 2019.

©Disney

We’ve seen major blockbuster films release on the platform (for an additional charge) like Mulan, as well as critically acclaimed original series like The Mandalorian. Today, we got an update on how the streaming platform is doing from Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek himself! Check out what he had to say about the future of Disney+.

Bob Chapek took part in a virtual question-and-answer session at the Credit Suisse 23rd Annual Communications Conference today where he was asked many questions about Disney+.

©Disney || Bob Chapek

We heard about the excitement Disney has that they can finally operate their theme parks in parallel with the streaming platform since all Disney parks were closed shortly after the launch due to the pandemic. Chapek said it’s a great opportunity for them to cross-market.

©Disney

Chapek then talked about how thanks to Disney+, franchises like Marvel can take different approaches to things like they did with WandaVision and Loki, allowing creatives to branch out.

©Marvel.com

When asked if Chapek could bring back Iron Man (R.I.P) he responded that the upcoming Disney+ series Armor Wars, starring Don Cheadle as War Machine, should “scratch that itch” for more Iron Man content.

Speaking on Marvel, Chapek mentioned how all of the Avengers characters we now know and love weren’t really well known when Disney obtained Marvel. For example, not many people knew who Loki, God of Mischief, was, but his Disney+ original series was the most-watched season premiere EVER on the platform!

©Disney

When asked about potential price increases on Disney+ subscriptions, the Disney CEO said that after the first price increase for subscriptions (which happened recently), they haven’t seen a significant loss of subscribers as a result. In Europe, Disney actually increased the subscription price by twice as high, but since they added more content, they actually had fewer people walk away from their subscriptions.

But, Chapek did say that doesn’t mean that in the future they won’t increase prices!

Chapek also said they have no plans right now to have advertising-supported entry on Disney+, but they won’t limit themselves to say no to anything.

©Disney | Wanda and Vision in the 70s

An interesting question was asked about selling each of the franchises on Disney+ as a la carte options, meaning you would have to add on access to Marvel, Star Wars, or Pixar instead of them all being available in your subscription. Chapek said their all-in-one model is working well for them, and he also thinks it’s working well for the subscribers!

©Disney

When it comes to new content, Chapek said their plan is to have a new production or library add to Disney+ each week. He said that counts new seasons (not new episodes) and means there could be a new movie or series added to the library each week!

©Disney || Coming Soon!

Chapek finished out the Q & A by saying that 40% of Disney’s sales this year were in streaming in digital — whoa!

loki-logo

There’s no doubt that the new Loki series, which premiered last week on Disney+, has fans intrigued. In fact, audiences are so captivated by this series that it is now ranked as the most-watched Disney+ series premiere ever, according to CEO Bob Chapek. Deadline reported that Loki had 890,000 household views in its first week, beating out both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision. MENU Announced for ‘Ohana Breakfast in Disney World

Several restaurants will soon be reopening throughout Disney World including ‘Ohana, Sebastian’s Bistro, and others.

‘Ohana Will Be Reopening Soon!

We’ve already shared a look at the menu that will be served during dinner at ‘Ohana, including a BIG update on the noodles situation. But, what about ‘Ohana’s breakfast menu? Today we’re sharing all the details with you about what items you’ll be able to enjoy at ‘Ohana during breakfast when it reopens!

‘Ohana is set to reopen in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort on July 9th!! When it reopens, this spot will be serving up both breakfast and dinner family-style.

While breakfast at ‘Ohana used to feature some of your favorite Disney friends, the characters will NOT be present during breakfast when ‘Ohana reopens. Be sure to keep that in mind.

Will You Be Eating at ‘Ohana When It Reopens?

Wondering what food you’ll be able to eat at ‘Ohana when it reopens? Well, breakfast will start with some seasonal fruit as well as freshly-made pineapple-coconut breakfast bread! YUM!!

Pineapple-Coconut Breakfast Bread

Then, you and your family will get to chow down on the breakfast skillet (again, note that this meal is served family-style). The skillet will include Hua Paka (scrambled eggs), Uala Kahiki (fried potatoes), biscuits, Pua’a (pork breakfast sausage links and Hawaiian-style ham topped with pineapple compote), and Mickey-shaped waffles (it appears Stitch-shaped waffles may also be available based on the photo Disney has shared).

This is essentially the same menu that was served here for breakfast previously.

©Disney

There is also a plant-based breakfast skillet available. This includes “eggs,” Uala Kahiki (fried potatoes), cinnamon-sugar doughnut, “sausage,” and allergy-friendly Mickey-shaped waffles.

©Disney

Disney has not yet officially released the pricing for breakfast at ‘Ohana, except that the ‘Ohana page on the Disney World website generally notes that breakfast is typically priced at $15 to $34.99 per adult.

Reservations are already available for ‘Ohana, so if you haven’t already booked yours, be sure to check and see what’s available.
