TV Review: ABC’s “The Celebrity Dating Game”

ABC has single-handedly created a game show resurgence on broadcast television. Their annual Summer Fun & Games line-up has become a branded scheduling tactic that works. However, their reboot line-up is starting to run on fumes. With the list of recognizable entities getting smaller every year, they are having to look elsewhere for concepts and formats […]

  • Iron-on vinyl
  • Non-slip headband the color of your choice
  • Weeding tool, scraper, and scissors
  • Ironing board and iron

©Disney

Instructions:

Step 1: Download the Lion King art from the link above and print it out.

Step 2: Using your Cricut machine or other craft cutter, cut the vinyl in the pattern of the art.

©Disney

Step 3: Stick the vinyl to the cutting mat, shiny side down.

Step 4: Peel off the extra vinyl, using your weeding tool.

Step 5: Lay down your headband on the ironing board and arrange the vinyl design where you want it to be on the headband.

Step 6: Using a towel or some extra fabric, cover the vinyl and place the hot iron on top. Iron for 30 to 45 seconds on the non-steam setting.

Step 7: Remove the iron, peel off the backing from the vinyl, and check to make sure the pattern has stuck well!

NEWS: The Toy Story Parking Lot Will Be Reopening Soon in Disneyland

Disneyland Resort reopened in April after being closed for over 400 days.

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland

We’ve recently seen that MORE things will be reopening at Disneyland, like several popular dining locations, and now, masks will no longer be required outdoors and indoors for vaccinated guests starting June 15th. The new policy comes on the same day Disneyland is ending temperature checks and welcoming out-of-state guests for the first time. And now, Disneyland has announced another reopening that should help with increased demand.

The Toy Story Parking Lot will reopen on June 18th!

Toy Story Sipper at Disneyland

Right now, only the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and the Pixar Pals Parking Structure is available for the theme parks and the Simba Parking Lot is available if you’re visiting Downtown Disney.

Mickey and Friends Parking Structure

With the new Avengers Campus now open in Disney’s California Adventure, as well as the ability for people from other states to visit the parks, the reopening of the parking lot should help alleviate the higher demand to visit the theme parks now.

A line of cars entering the Mickey & Friends parking structure

While masks will not be required in many areas of Disneyland now, Disney has said that ALL guests (age 2 and up) will be required to wear face coverings on the bus transportation from the parking lots to the theme parks, regardless of vaccination status.

Magic Way Pedestrian Bridge Sign

Just remember, you will still need a theme park ticket as well as a reservation to get into both parks. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disneyland updates!

What’s New at Disney Springs: We’re Trying 7 Desserts and 2 Drinks!

Welcome back to Disney Springs!

World of Disney at Disney Springs

We tried a LOT of new food and found some awesome new merch on our last few trips to Disney Springs, and we’re here to tell you all about them! Let’s get started!

Disney Springs Food Updates

Amorette’s Patisserie

We tried a bunch of new sweet treats at Disney Springs this week, like this Pride treat at Amorette’s Patisserie!

So colorful!

For $7 you can get the Paradise Pride Pastry which has salted caramel spiced mousse, coconut mousse with passion fruit center, and whipped passion fruit ganache for Pride!

Looks tasty!

But be warned, if you don’t like passionfruit, this treat is not for you! The flavor is very strong.

Click here to read more about the Paradise Pride Pastry at Amorette’s!

Also at Amorette’s was this amazing Loki Mousse Dome Cake that came out for the premiere of Marvel’s latest Disney+ series.

Loki Mousse Dome

The cake is a lemon chiffon cake with dulcey mousse, green apple gelee, and salted caramel crisp pearls, and you’ll have to look inside for a surprise!

It’s the Tesseract!

Celebrate our favorite Asgardian bad boy with this cake for $9!

Click here to read more about the Loki Mousse Dome Cake

The Ganachery

Loki got a lot of love this week in Disney Springs for his big premiere! We also found this Fractured Timeline treat in The Ganachery for $7.

Fractured Timeline

The sour apple ganache pop was decorated with some very pretty gold detailing, like Loki’s famous horns, and the flavors of the sour apple were well balanced by the sweet chocolate!

Beautiful!

Loki may be a sour apple, but he does have his sweet moments!

Click here to read more about the Fractured Timeline Treat

Vivoli il Gelato

We found EVEN MORE sweet treats over at Vivoli il Gelato, like this absolutely incredible cookies and cream waffle that was topped with crushed Oreos, cookies and cream gelato, and whipped cream. YUM!

Cookies and Cream Waffle

This thing was SO. GOOD. and it was HUGE! For $12, you can definitely share it with a friend!

Cookies and Cream Waffle

We also found two NEW bomoblatos (AKA Italian donuts filled with gelato) to try. The Mocha Caramel Bomobolato had coffee gelato, caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings in a warm Italian doughnut. This treat is great for coffee lovers at $9.75.

Mocha Caramel Bomobolato

The other bomoblato we found was the Banana Cream Pie Bombolato with banana gelato, whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and chocolate sauce in an Italian doughnut.

Banana Cream Pie Bombolato

Surprisingly, the banana-flavored gelato and crushed Oreos worked well together! You can get it for $9.75.

Candy Cauldron and Goofy’s Candy Company

Disney comes out with new cupcakes allll the time, so we weren’t surprised to see these two new summer cupcakes in both Candy Cauldron and Goofy’s Candy Company. First up was a Key Lime Cupcake with key lime cake, vanilla icing, and lime candy melts as Mickey’s ears.

Key Lime Cupcake

This treat was SUPER sweet and the lime flavor was barely there! The frosting tasted like pure sugar and the lime candy melts were also lacking in the flavor department. The cupcake was also supposed to be filled, but ours didn’t have any filling to be seen!

Where’s the filling?

Pretty, but super sweet!

The cake was dry in both of these cupcakes, and for $5.19, we think you can find MUCH better cupcakes around Disney!

Click here to read more about the Key Lime and Strawberry Cupcakes!

Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar

Moving on to some drinks, we tried the new Orange Cream Float from the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar. It’s made with Coca-Cola, Vanilla Ice Cream, and an ENTIRE Orange Cream Bar!

Another Insta-worthy drink

With such strong flavors of orange and Coke, you REALLY have to be a fan of both to enjoy this treat!

Messy and melty

But at $12, the drink comes with a Souvenir Glass, as well as a Souvenir bag, so it might be worth trying if you think you’ll enjoy it!

Click here to read more about the Orange Cream Float!

Outdoor Beverage Carts

And finally, let’s head on over to grab a new margarita at the outdoor beverage carts. This Peach Margarita is $16 (!!!!) and has Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Cointreau, sweet-and-sour, peach, and lime juice.

Not our favorite!

The drink literally tasted like ingesting the sweet-and-sour mix and the tequila flavor was so subtle it’s like the marg was just placed next to a bottle of tequila for a few minutes and the flavor wafted over.

Yeah…no thanks.

The peach flavor was also almost non-existent! The whole drink was very sweet and didn’t even really taste like a margarita.

Disney Springs Merchandise Updates

Sperry

We saw Sperry’s Pride Collection at their store in Disney Springs, and it is SO colorful and fun!

So bright!

The collection supports PFLAG and includes adorable rainbow and Pride decorated shoes, like several pairs with rainbow bottoms for $64.95!

Show your pride while you’re walking!

And these multi-colored sneakers for $99.95.

Sperry Pride Collection

We love the rainbow peace sign and heart on top!

How fun!

There’s even a pair that appear waterproof you can wear in case it unexpectedly starts to rain in Disney World!

These look like they’ll hold up in the rain!

You can get the Pride collection right now at Sperry in Disney Springs!

Click here to read about more Pride collections in Disney Springs

Ever After Jewelry Co.

ANOTHER pair of ears from Disney’s Designer Collection have come out! These are from Karlie Kloss and are inspired by the next generation of female coders!

©Disney

You need a secret code in order to buy the ears (it’s CODE KLOSS. Shh.. don’t tell anyone we told you!) and can get them at Ever After Jewelry Co. for $98. We were informed that these sold out but we will let you know if they are restocked.
