8 of the Best Restaurants for Picky Eaters in Disney World

Disney World has LOTS of amazing eats.

Delicious fried goodness, if you ask us.

And there are plenty of places to try, no matter what your palette! From sweet treats to savory goodness to upscale dining, it seems like Disney World has it ALL. But what if you’re a picky eater?! Well, it turns out Disney’s got some options for you, too! Here are some of our favorites.

Quick Service Restaurants

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe makes for a quick ‘n’ easy stop in Magic Kingdom! This spot serves up Mexican fare: we’re talking fajita platters, nachos, tacos, and more.

We’re usually here for the corn dog nuggies.

There’s something for almost everyone here! You can opt for a basic ol’ cheeseburger, tacos with YOUR choice of meat, corn dog nuggets, and even mac and cheese.

Your meal plus all the toppings!

This is a one-stop-shop for picky eaters in the parks!

Satu’li Canteen

Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Satu’li Canteen makes for a great picky eater’s option! Part of what makes this restaurant so great is that you can personalize your meal: you can choose your very own meat, base, and sauce in your bowl. Options include chicken, beef, noodles, sweet potato hash, and so much more!

Healthy AND tasty? We’ll take it!

The quality of food here is also outstanding for a Quick Service spot. Not to mention, fans of the basics may love the Cheeseburger Pods. They’re a great twist on a classic eat!

Backlot Express

We’re hopping over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a trip to Backlot Express! This Quick Service spot offers one of our favorite treats of all — the Wookie Cookie — but there are also some easy entrees up for grabs. You can order burgers, chicken strips, and other classic American fare here.

Chicken Strips

If you’re looking for no-fuss options, this is the place for you.

Hotel Food Courts

One of the easiest places to get your picky food fix is at your hotel food court! Everything Pop Food Court, World Premiere Food Court, and other spots at Disney’s Value resorts have HUGE menus with plenty of options for the whole family.

World Premiere Food Court

You’ll find your basic burgers, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and more here. These food courts are probably your easiest bet to guarantee you’ll find something you like.

Table Service

Liberty Tree Tavern

If picky eaters want a sit-down meal, there are a few options out there, too! Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom has super basic eats like pot roast, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. There’s also a tasty toffee cake for dessert!

Liberty Tree Tavern Spread

You will wanna note that the food here is served family-style. So you’ll get a platter of all your options and fill your plate from there! If between everyone at your table, you won’t want to scarf down all those different dishes, you may want to skip this spot.

Garden Grill

If you’re on the hunt for a character dining option, look no further than Garden Grill! This is one of our favorite restaurants on property, and it serves up another hearty all-you-can-eat feast.

Harvest Feast at Garden Grill

At Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast, you’ll enjoy classic meat ‘n’ potatoes: mashed potatoes, grilled beef, and turkey breast, to be exact! And of course, there are mac and cheese and seasonal vegetables for the meat-averse.

Here’s Our Review of Garden Grill!

Via Napoli

Here at DFB, we know that pizza can be a picky eater’s best friend. And Via Napoli in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion serves some of the very best pizza in Disney World!

Pizza!!!

You can get a HUGE variety of pizzas here — or you can opt for other Italian specialties like ravioli or prosciutto! And if you don’t have time for a sit-down meal, stop by the pizza window outside the building for your fix of cheesy goodness.

Check Out Our Review of Via Napoli!

Sci-Fi Dine-In

Our last Table Service suggestion is none other than Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! You’ve got basic American eats here, from chicken strips to burgers to tasty milkshakes.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

The atmosphere at this restaurant really makes it a standout — as opposed to the food, which is sometimes lacking. You’ll sit in a vintage car watching old sci-fi movies in what’s one of Disney’s most unique dining experiences.

Keep in mind that you always have the option to bring your OWN food into the parks. If you or someone in your party is an especially picky eater, consider prepping your own meals and packing them with you! But if you’re set on enjoying some restaurants on-property, these are a few of the ones we recommend you try.

What’s New at Animal Kingdom: Another Power Outage and Popular Ears Return!

Hello friends, and welcome back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Ready to Conquer Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

We’ve got a SUPER quick update in store for ya today. So let’s get started!

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates

If you’ve been searching high and low for Disney’s Tweed and Pearl Ears, you’re in luck! These beauties were recently restocked in Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

They’re BACK!

We spotted ’em in Discovery Trading Co. for $29.99. But hurry — they could sell out again!

Read More About This Restock!

Animal Kingdom Additional Updates

We’ve got a few updates for you as Disney continues to reduce social distancing throughout the parks. At It’s Tough to Be a Bug, rows are no longer closed. Instead, guests are directed to fill every row (and move to the far left of that row).

No more roped-off rows here!

And over at Festival of the Lion King, social distancing markers have been removed from the queue.

Social Distancing Markers Removed

However, stickers are still in the theater indicating which seats are unavailable. We also want to let ya know that we arrived at about 4PM for the 5PM show, and there was already a pretty long line. So you’ll still want to plan ahead if you want to get a seat!

You’ll still see markers inside, though!

Lastly, over half of the park’s rides shut down last Thursday due to another potential power outage. All rides resumed operations later in the day. This is the second time we’ve seen this issue at Animal Kingdom this month.

Crowds during the power outage

Well, we told you this would be a quick one! That wraps up our updates for now — but we’ll be in the parks every day bringing you the latest. Stay tuned to DFB!

Disney is pushing the use of phone technology in place of MagicBands. So, it doesn’t seem so coincidental that the price of MagicBands has skyrocketed.
