Walt Disney World foodies, rejoice! A few of our favorite dining locations will once again be opening their doors to visitors!

The first stop on today’s dining news will be Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Citricos, located on the second floor of the main building, has in reimagined to pay tribute to “the whimsy and elegance” of Mary Poppins Returns. Guests will see slight touches to the film throughout the restaurant, and will evoke a “fanciful garden setting.”

A new menu has been crafted by Chef Andres Mendoza, and will feature dishes such a Sweet Corn Bisque, Strawberry Salad with chamomile-infused goat cheese, and butter poached Florida Cobia with mashed fingerling potatoes. Have a sweet tooth? Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer has something to meet your needs. From a Warm Apple Rose to a decadent Chocolate Torte, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

A new wine and cocktail program, put together by Sommelier Israel Perez, will be available for those who will enjoy “an elevated food and wine experience.” Citricos will reopen on July 15th, and reservations will open on July 1st.

At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Trails End Restaurant will reopen on July 17th. The former buffet-style restaurant will now transition to offering family-style skillets for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast will begin with a pastry basket and berry granola yogurt parfait to be shared by the table and followed by a skillet featuring smoked brisket, eggs, sausage, bacon, and cheesy potato casserole. And never fear: the beloved Mickey waffles will still be available!

The Trails End dinner selection will feature hushpuppies, skillet cornbread and a chopped garden salad for the table. A smokehouse-inspired dinner skillet will feature pecan smoked brisket, andouille sausage, rotisserie chicken, fingerling potatoes, buttered corn on the cob, and green beans. Pork spare ribs, cornbread-crusted salmon, and peel and eat shrimp will be offered as add-ons to the dinner selections.

Guests well be able to enjoy the Covered Wagon Sundae for dessert. Brownies? Yep, the sundae’s got ’em. Cookies and chocolate-covered bacon, too? You betcha’!

Casey’s Corner on Main Street, USA in the Magic Kingdom will reopen to park guests on June 30th. You’ll find Casey’s Chili-Cheese All-Beef hot dogs on the menu, and, of course, those amazing little Corn Dog Nuggets. The plant-based Loaded Slaw Dog will return, and the Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade will be featured as well.

Also re-opening in the Magic Kingdom will be the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. Guests will be able to once again enjoy hand-dipped ice cream in the middle of the Magic beginning July 7th. Barq’s Root Beer Floats and Coca-Cola Floats will again be offered when Plaza Ice Cream Parlor reopens.

Eight Spoon Café in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has recently reopened, and is once again offering the Pulled Pork Jelly Donut Sandwich. Dino Diner, also in Animal Kingdom, will reopen on Sunday, July 4th.

Last, but certainly not least, beginning June 30th, Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will offer the Disney Family Night Dinner. This takeout family-style meal includes everything from soup to nuts, and will serve 3 to 4 people. The Disney Family Night Dinner will be available from 5-10pm via the Mobile Order function in the My Disney Experience app. The details regarding the two meal bundles are below.

Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort:

• Roasted Jamaican-style Chicken
• Fried Yucca
• Cilantro Rice
• Seasonal Vegetables
• Caribbean Pull-apart Rolls with Onion Jam and Guava Butter
• Decorate-your-own Mickey and Minnie Cookies

Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa:

• Garden Salad – Tomato, cucumber, carrots, and a duo of dressings
• Savory Lasagna – Three cheese lasagna with tomato sauce
• Two Mickey-shaped Cheese or Pepperoni Pizzas
• Minnie Cheesecake with strawberry sauce, whipped cream, and fresh berries

We’ve seen a TON of things reopening in Disney World lately.

La Cava del Tequila Dining Room

Ride pre-shows are back, resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge have reopening dates, and places like La Cava del Tequila are allowing guests inside the dining room again. And now, we have big news about the reopening of a popular Disney World restaurant!

Trail’s End Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will reopen on July 17th!!!!

Let’s go!

Yee-haw! The hearty restaurant is returning with its family-style skillets for breakfast and dinner!

Disney says the breakfast skillets will have smoked brisket and eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheesy potato casserole. And of course, Mickey waffles!

There will also be Moonshine Morning Cocktails for the adults, uh, SIGN US UP!

For dinner, start with hushpuppies and skillet cornbread with a chopped garden salad for the table.

Then enjoy the family-style Smokehouse Skillet that comes with pecan-smoked brisket, rotisserie chicken, andouille sausage, fingerlings potatoes, green beans, and buttered corn on the cob. You can get pork spare ribs, peel n’ eat shrimp, and cornbread-crusted salmon as add-ons to your meal.

But save room for dessert! Disney Parks Blog currently says you can get the Covered Wagon Sundae at Trail’s End, which looks almost exactly like the 10-Gallon Challenge  that used to be over at Whispering Canyon! Disney says the dessert is a wagon load of ice cream, toppings, brownies, cookies, and chocolate-covered bacon!

That’s A LOT of dessert!

We’re getting TONS of exciting dining news from Disney World today, including the long-awaited announcement that Casey’s Corner will finally reopen in Magic Kingdom.

That’s not the only location reopening in the coming days at Disney World, however. Dino Diner will also welcome guests back very soon!

Disney has just announced that Dino Diner will reopen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Sunday, July 4th.

Wowza! Disney just dropped a BUNCH of restaurant reopening news!

We’ve spent our recent days totally excited about the reopenings of Eight Spoon Cafe in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom, and now, even MORE iconic spots will be an option for Disney World guests again!

Disney World just announced that Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A. will reopen on July 7th.

This spot will return to serve favorite flavors in cones and cups with some fat-free, no-sugar-added, and plant-based options available. Oh man, peanut butter sauce, here we COME!

Even better, Barq’s Root Beer Floats and Coca-Cola Floats are coming back too! Can you think of anything better than sipping an ice cream float on Main Street, U.S.A.? We’re not sure we can!

Lots of things have been changing at Disney World lately. Restaurants have reopened, hotels are undergoing refurbishment, restaurants are being reimagined, and more.

One restaurant that has been closed for a significant period of time is Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. We shared last year that the restaurant would be undergoing a refurbishment and now we’ve got a BIG update on how the restaurant has been reimagined and when it’ll be open again!

Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been re-imagined into a restaurant inspired by Mary Poppins Returns and will soon be open for all guests to enjoy!

According to Disney, the restaurant now “pays homage to the whimsy and elegance of Mary Poppins Returns.” The restaurant takes cues from the movie’s animated sequence. Disney has shared that the dining room of Citricos now “brings guests into a fanciful garden setting where you can ‘trip a little light fantastic’ as you experience the restaurant surrounded by the glow from decorative lamps and chandeliers.”

Chef Andres Mendoza has crafted a NEW menu for Citricos. On this new menu you’ll find things like Sweet Corn Bisque with pickled fennel, popcorn, and fennel oil and a Strawberry Salad with chamomile-infused goat cheese, frisée lettuce, bacon vinaigrette, and spiced sunflower seeds.

Cítricos will open on July 15th. Reservations will become available on July 1st, so be sure to mark those calendars!
