Everything You Need to Know About the Weather in Disney World Next Week

It is officially the rainy season in Florida!

A rainy day in Animal Kingdom

The start of June means that it’s also the start of hurricane season so rain will likely be a regular occurrence at Disney World for the coming months. If you’re headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth, you probably want to know how prepared you need to be for the precipitation. So, we’re bringing you a weather update for next week in Disney World!

Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, the week is going to be pretty warm and the weather should be relatively consistent. Just watch out for those surprise storms!

Cinderella Castle

The potential for storms is present every day this week — that’s even more rain than was predicted last week! Still, there’s a good amount of sun, too. Let’s check the exact predictions so that you can be prepared.

June 14th

Monday, June 14th will start the week with pretty similar temperatures to what we’ve been seeing. This week will primarily hang out in the high 80s and low 90s so it will be toasty. Monday is going to max out at an 88-degree high and we’ll see 75 degrees at night.

©The Weather Channel

Next week is characterized by a moderate chance of rain pretty much every day. Still, the days are expected to have a mix of rain and sun so you likely won’t be stuck in storms the whole time.

June 15th

The next day, June 15th brings us a very similar forecast to the day before with a high of 88 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at a comfy 76 degrees.

©The Weather Channel

Humidity is fairly high for most of next week (It is Florida, after all!), but Tuesday is the most humid.

June 16th

On Wednesday, June 16th, we’re going to see temps edge down just a little bit to 87 degrees during the day. Your low is going to edge down just a tad too.

©The Weather Channel

The benefit of the rain next week is that it looks like we’ll be dealing with a lower UV Index than we’ve seen in many weeks. You’ll still need to wear that sunscreen, but the levels typically stay away from the maximum reading.

June 17th

For Thursday, June 17th, we’re seeing a day with the LOWEST temps of the whole week in the mid-80s and a beautiful evening at 74 degrees.

©The Weather Channel

This forecast certainly looks like the most comfortable of the whole week! You might see storms, but the chance is on the low side so Thursday just might mean the perfect Disney day.

June 18th

The week continues with a jump UP in temperatures in the day and a mid 70s night on June 18th.

©The Weather Channel

Back up into the 90-degree temperatures, it is! If you’re not used to heat, make sure you’re taking care of yourself and listening to your body on what can be surprisingly strenuous days in the theme parks.

June 19th

Saturday, June 19th brings us similar temps with a high in the low-90s. You could see some rain on Saturday too!

©The Weather Channel

Here, we’ll see a 91-degree high and a 76-degree low.

June 20th

And we’ll wrap up our week on June 20th with still toasty temperatures and yet another day where you could see some rain.

©The Weather Channel

Sunday has one of the higher rain chances of the week AND a higher UV Index, so have a plan if it starts to get too wet OR too hot outside.

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of 80s to 90s highs and 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

We’ve got you covered with some tips to help you out with next week’s weather!

Stay comfy and safe in the sun!

Even if this week has lower UV levels than weeks past, you still might be in the sun a LOT more than you usually are. You’ll need to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and sunglasses, and take a break when you’re feeling too hot.

FREE water at the Hub!

You might be surprised how easy it is to get dehydrated or deal with heat sickness when you’re walking MILES around a theme park in the hot sun — even with a brief reprieve of rain!

Everywhere to get FREE water in Disney World now

Get ready for rain!

Speaking of rain, you need to be prepared for a sudden shower! The storms are scattered and isolated for much of the week, so you might find yourself escaping any downpours, but it’s better to be safe than sorry!

Disney Ponchos Are Expensive!

Pack a rain layer in your park bag and make sure it’s relatively easy to access. There’s nothing worse than having to dig for the poncho at the bottom of your bag right as the skies open up!

Disney And Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Widow’ Tickets Are FINALLY On Sale!

Many Disney movie releases have been pushed waaay back due to the pandemic.

Mulan Preview

The premiere of Mulan was delayed, which caused a ton of other movies on Disney’s release schedule to shift, like the upcoming Jungle Cruise film. One of the movies we were looking forward to the most last year was Marvel Studios’ Black Widow, which was originally supposed to come out in May of 2020! We FINALLY got a set release date, and now tickets are on sale for the superhero film!

You can get your tickets to see Black Widow TODAY!

©Disney | Marvel Studios

The film releases in theaters on July 9th, so grab your tickets now if you want to have that full epic Marvel movie experience you can only get on the big screen!

WE’RE SO PUMPED FOR THIS

If you don’t want to leave your house to see the movie (our couch is just so comfy) then you can also watch Black Widow on Disney+ on July 9th with Premier Access, meaning it will cost you $30 on top of your subscription. This was the same extra fee we saw for other Disney+ releases like Raya and the Last Dragon and Cruella.

©Walt Disney Studios

Marvel Entertainment tweeted out a featurette with some behind-the-scenes footage to get us even more hype for the movie!

We’ve been waiting for what feels like FOREVER to see Natasha Romanoff shine in her own film, and we can’t wait to see the OG Avenger again after, well… what happened in Endgame (sobs).

BOO Bash Tickets Begin to Sell Out in Disney World

Boy has it been a SAGA getting tickets for BOO Bash in Magic Kingdom.

Boo Bash ©Disney

This Halloween After Hours event kicks off in August, and it’s PRICEY! But demand is still high — so high that the phone lines went down when tickets first went on sale. And now, we’ve got another BIG update if you’re hoping to attend.

BOO Bash’s most popular (and expensive!) night is Halloween — as you could imagine! So it’s no shocker that the very first date to sell out is October 31st. The Disney World website now indicates that BOO Bash tickets are no longer available for that day.

©Disney

As of right now, ONLY Disney World hotel guests are able to purchase tickets. Sales open for the general public on June 15th. This means that, unless Disney adds availability, those guests will be unable to attend the event on the 31st. We’ll let you know if that becomes the case.

Mickey Pumpkin

However, there are still PLENTY of dates with open availability! You can check out the full calendar (with prices) here. We’ll keep bringing you the latest BOO Bash news, so stay tuned to DFB!

VIDEO: Full ‘Monsters at Work’ Trailer Released for Disney+

The last time we saw Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc.we were transported to their time at Monsters University where they first learned all about the fine art of scaring children.

©Disney

But as we know, at the end of the first Monsters movie, Monsters, Inc., Mike and Sulley discovered that the power of laughter was far better at powering their world than scares. But what happened after that?

Well, we’re about to find out with the new Disney+ series Monsters At Work, which picks up after Monsters, Inc. as the company makes the transition from scaring children to making them laugh. And according to a new trailer, Mike and Sulley have their work cut out for them in training the new monsters on how things are going to work.

Although there are some new faces joining Monsters, Inc., it’s nice to see some of our old favorites returning, too (oh, we love you, Roz!). So be sure to tune in to Monsters At Work when it premieres on Disney+ on July 7th.

Here’s Why Monsters, Inc Fans Need to RUN to the Christmas Store in Disney World
