PHOTOS: Captain America Ears Have FINALLY Arrived in Disney World!

Can you ever have too many Minnie Ears? We don’t think so.

Minnie Ears!

If you’re a Marvel fan AND an ear collector, you may need to add these to your collection!

Today at Magic Kingdom we found ears to honor the Captain himself, featuring Captain America’s shield as the mouse ears!

New Captain America Ears!

The headband is faux leather and brown (a reference to the shield’s straps!) and the side is embroidered with “Super Soldier.”

Super Soldier details

We love the detail of Captain America’s red, white, and blue shield as the ears, featuring red and white stripes with a silver star in blue at the center.

The inside of the headband is lined with blue velour for a comfortable fit.

Captain America Ears

It’s probably safe to say that if you’re a Captain America fan, you will want these ears. We are so happy there are finally Captain America ears in the parks. We found these at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom for $29.99. Stay tuned to DFB as we find out more about where you can buy the new Captain America ears! We will let you know when these come to shopDisney.

The rooms at the resort are getting a Moana-themed makeover, the front entrance is getting a new look, and the monorail station is also under construction. Previously, we shared that the new Moana-themed rooms were available for booking for dates starting on July 19th. But, now we’ve got more details on exactly when the resort will reopen and what will reopen with it!

Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows are currently open, but the Poly’s standard rooms have not reopened…yet!

Recently, Disney shared some details with travel agents about the Polynesian’s reopening. Disney has now confirmed that the Polynesian will reopen on July 19th!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

As part of the reopening, guests will be able to view the enhanced entrance with the new porte cochere. Disney’s Magical Express and valet parking services will be available under the new porte cochere.

Check out that new roof!

Additionally, when the resort reopens on the 19th, the front desk that was temporarily over at the Pago Pago building will close. The front desk and concierge services will return back to the Great Ceremonial House with the reopening of the hotel on July 19th.

New Entrance Area

What about the monorail station though? The monorail station at the Polynesian will continue to be under construction and will not reopen with the resort on July 19th.

Additionally, the front entrance to the Great Ceremonial House will not reopen with the resort on July 19th. Instead, that will open at a later date. In the meantime, Cast Members will be helping guests access the side entrance to the Great Ceremonial House.

Monorail Station Construction

Disney has noted that guests should also continue to use Online Check-in and Direct-to-Room service to help simplify their check-in process when staying at the resort.

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details about this reopening and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more news!
