We’ve been touring each room in the remodeled Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, which held its grand reopening last week. We stayed in an Empire State Club room, Spider-Man suite, and Avengers suite. For our final night, we stayed in one of the hotel’s standard rooms. This room is not as themed as the others, though is similar to the Empire State Club room. Upon entering, the bathroom is on the right through a sliding door. […]

PHOTOS: More Paneling Added to Roof of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT

cosmic-rewind-construction-9209

We’ve seen some interesting strides in exterior construction of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT recently. The foundation was recently completed for the Xandarian ship that will eventually grace the entrance and new decorative paneling was added to the roof. In front of the show building, there isn’t much to see except dirt. The Xandarian ship is most likely being constructed off-site and will be installed later. A few weeks ago, a bridge was added between some of […]

We are happy to report that everyone’s favorite troll has returned to his original spot, front and center of the main entrance, inside of the Norway pavilion’s The Fjording shop. What’s New at Disneyland: Live Entertainment is Back and More Rides and Dining Locations Reopen!

It has been another eventful week in the Happiest Place on Earth!

“it’s a small world” in Disneyland

Since we last checked in on all of the latest happenings at the Disneyland Resort, we’ve experienced the reopening of several rides, restaurants, and more! Let’s waste no time and jump right in with the latest updates.

General Updates

Shortly after Disneyland reopened, Indiana Jones Adventure adopted a virtual queue system to assist in crowding issues that its physically distanced queue was causing. Now that most distancing mandates have been lifted at Disneyland, Indiana Jones Adventure no longer uses its virtual queue system. All guests looking to ride will simply join the standby queue!

Indiana Jones only uses its standby queue once again!

Speaking of distancing measurements going away, we noticed that physical distancing on rides and attractions has also changed. We took a trip on Pirates of the Caribbean and sat in a boat where each row was filled.

No more near-empty boats on Pirates of the Caribbean!

We also noticed full trains passing by on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

That’s not the only bit of attraction news! This week, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters has reopened!

Buzz Lightyear is back!

Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island also reopened this week.

Take a raft to Tom Sawyer’s Island and explore the Pirate’s Lair!

We hopped on a raft and took a trip to the island to check it out!

Are you brave enough to explore Dead Man’s Grotto? It’s kinda spooky!

This is a great spot that’s typically quiet throughout the day and is full of fun places to explore!

This is a great island if you’re looking for a quieter spot to relax.

Disneyland Band and Five & Dime have resumed regular performances throughout the day.

The Disneyland Band is BACK!

The Disneyland Band marches up and down Main Street, U.S.A., joined by Mickey and Minnie!

Hi, Minnie!

It’s great to see live entertainment return to Disneyland!

You can find Five & Dime right outside of Carthay Circle!

We spotted test cycles on Matterhorn, but construction walls are still up at this time.

Matterhorn is reopening SOON!

Disneyland has been filled with lots of exciting weeks since the parks first reopened! More and more locations are coming back for guests to check out!

Lamplight Lounge

Basically, Lamplight Lounge just went back to its seating structure from before the closures, where Advance Dining Reservations are for the downstairs section only, and the upstairs patio section is walk-up only. The menus between the two floors are now separate from one another, so if you want a particular food item, make sure you’re seated on the correct level!

Menu!

We also spotted a new food item at Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining, the Pork Belly “Banh Mi” Brussels Sprouts (amaaaazing!). They’re only available upstairs, so be sure to check them out!

PHOTOS: Additional “Gear” Pavement Replaced as Scoring Moves to Tomorrowland Bridge at the Magic Kingdom

tomorrowland-pavement-scoring-6-23-21-17

The refurbishment of Tomorrowland marches on in the Magic Kingdom, with even more of the 1994 “gear” pavement being replaced as the land receives a new look. By Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, as we noted, some of the pavement is now colored lighter than it was previously. The lighter-shaded pavement is cut down the middle with a darker strip, which seems to be advancing closer to the bridge leading to the park hub. The refurbishment seems to be taking advantage […]
