Twitter user @SamsDisneyDiary reported to us this evening from Pirates of the Caribbean at the Magic Kingdom, where he was stuck. The delay was caused by the boat in front of him, which had gotten off track. In a photo before the lights are turned on, you can see how the boat has moved off the track and gotten stuck. According to Sam, it took six cast members upwards of thirty minutes to realign the wayward boat. In the photo, […]

Before you say hello to the Black Panther over at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, you can swing by Hollywood Land to snap a selfie with a Black Panther-themed photo op. The arch and background aren’t new, as they were formerly used for a meet and greet, but this set-up is a new use for the props. Much like the “Loki” and “WandaVision” photo ops, no characters will appear here. This is solely a background for guests to strike […]

You Can Skip the Line at More Disneyland Merchandise Shops!

Shopping at Disney Parks is fun, but sometimes, we aren’t big fans of standing in the long lines to check out.

Mobile Checkout

That’s why we were so excited to use Mobile Checkout at Disneyland when it was first introduced. All you have to do is scan in what you’re buying with your phone, checkout, pay with your phone, and you’re done! How convenient is that! And that feature eventually made its way to some Disney World shops, too!

Well, now that feature has expanded to two other shops at Disneyland Resort! We already told you about it at World of Disney at Downtown Disney

…but this feature is also being tested at Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure

©Disney

…and the Emporium at Disneyland.

©Disney

So how does it work? Well, first, open the Disneyland App, tap the plus sign at the bottom center, and then tap the “Shop in Store — Now Testing.”

©Disney

That will pull up a screen that looks like this. All you have to do is choose which store you’re shopping at!

©Disney

Alternatively, you can scan the QR code posted inside the shop itself. Look for this sign:

Mobile Checkout Sign

Make sure you grab a designated mobile checkout shopping bag (you’ll find those in the store) and scan each item you plan on purchasing on your phone before placing it in your bag.

©Disney

The item will be added to your mobile shopping cart. Keep doing this until you’re done shopping. Then tap on “Check Out.”

©Disney

Then you’ll select your payment method (and if you’re an Annual Passholder, your discount will be automatically added). You can pay with a debit or credit card, as well as with a Disney gift card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card.

©Disney

Complete the Check-out process on the app by clicking on “Purchase” and you’re done!

©Disney

Head to the store’s exit and show the Cast Member your receipt. See how easy it is? And you can now do it at two more shops at Disneyland. So convenient! We expect to see Mobile Checkout rolled out to more shops across Disneyland and Disney World soon, so we’ll let you know when and where it’s available.
