PHOTO: ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ Cake Gets an Upgraded Look in Disney World

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier made history on Disney+ as the most-watched series premiere ever on opening weekend.

After all the episodes aired, a certain character we know and love got a promotion of sorts, and that means lots of updated merchandise and, yes, a new cake! If you haven’t watched it yet, what are you waiting for?!

Disney Springs announced on Twitter that there is a new look for Amorette’s Patisserie’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier Petit Cake, available for a limited time! Let’s take a look.

If you don’t remember, this is what the previous Falcon and Winter Soldier Petit Cake used to look like. This version of the cake was chocolate chiffon with dark chocolate mousse, raspberry mousse, raspberry pâte de fruit, and white chocolate pearls.

Now that we know “who will wield the shield,” the cake deserved a new update! We do not yet know if this cake will also feature the same flavors as the previous version, but if it does we definitely wouldn’t mind eating it again!

The new Petit Cake will be available from June 25th to July 5th while supplies last for $20 at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. Stay tuned for updates from DFB on the taste of this new cake!

The Ultimate Guide to Coffee in Magic Kingdom

Looking for a good ol’ cuppa coffee in Magic Kingdom?

It’s time for COFFEE!

If you’re gearing up for a long day in the park, you’re going to want to make sure you get your caffeine fix. And sure, you could head over to Main Street Bakery (aka the Magic Kingdom Starbucks), but the lines there tend to be LONG. And what if you just aren’t in the mood for Starbucks? Luckily, you’ve got several other little-known (and underrated!) options.

Like we mentioned, your most obvious choice is Main Street Bakery on Main Street, U.S.A. But there is a consistent crowd here in the morning all the way through the afternoon, and again later in the evening. If you don’t feel like missing out on valuable park time while you’re waiting for your coffee, you’ll want to explore some other choices.

Joffrey’s Revive

Joffrey’s serves coffee and tea throughout all 4 parks, in Disney Springs, and even at a few resorts! Their Magic Kingdom kiosk, Joffrey’s Revive, is located near Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. There, you’ll find specialty and seasonal sips– plus a selection of HUGE donuts and other pastries!

Joffrey’s Revive

Of course, you may still encounter a line here — it’s a popular choice for coffee. That wait can be especially brutal on hot days when you’re standing in the direct sunlight! But if you want a large selection of coffee that’s not Starbucks, you’ll want to head here. Plus, they’ll take your Annual Passholder discount if you’ve got one!

Joffrey’s Revive

If you want a true Magic Kingdom breakfast, get in line here for coffee and then place a Mobile Order for The Lunching Pad. They sell the Cheshire Cat Tail — one of our DFB favorite snacks — as well as a breakfast sandwich.

Check Out a New Seasonal Drink at Joffrey’s!

Hot Coffee

Sometimes you’re just in the mood for a SUPER basic coffee! If that’s the case, there’s no need to wait in line at Joffrey’s or Starbucks — you’ll be able to grab one at a few other locations. You can Mobile Order at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Tomorrowland Terrace, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, or Sunshine Tree Terrace — they all sell Joffrey’s brand of hot coffee.

Sunshine Tree Terrace

These 4 spots will serve ya a cup in no time — just place your order as you’re walking and then go pick it up! We do want to note, though, that the Mobile Order at Cosmic Ray’s can go just a littleee bit slow sometimes, so try one of these other locations or just head on over to the Joffrey’s in Tomorrowland.

Check Out Our Guide to Mobile Ordering in Disney World!

Cold Brew

If cold brew is more your speed, Mobile Order at Pinocchio Village Haus or Friar’s Nook. Pinocchio Village Haus offers Joffrey’s hot coffee AND cold brew, while Friar’s Nook serves cold brew! Mobile Ordering at Friar’s Nook should be super quick — not to mention, they have a small but yummy breakfast menu. It’s a great option if you don’t want to trek all the way to Main Street, U.S.A., or Tomorrowland for your caffeine.

Coffee at Friar’s Nook

Pro tip: if you plan on heading to Gaston’s Tavern for breakfast (ya know, to snag that classic Cinnamon Roll), make a pit stop at one of these spots for coffee. Weirdly enough, Gaston’s Tavern doesn’t serve coffee. So plan ahead!

Check Out the Breakfast Menu at Friar’s Nook!

Specialty Flavors

If you want something besides your standard coffee, Joffrey’s or Starbucks is probably your best bet. But you DO have 2 other choices! Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square serves Joffrey’s hot coffee, but they also offer pre-sweetened iced coffees out of a machine. These are available in mocha or French vanilla flavors! They are SUPER sweet, but they may be perfect for you to pair with a Fresh Fruit and Nutella Waffle Sandwich.

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

Or, you can head over to Westward Ho Refreshments for PUMPKIN Coffee! And YES, it’s served year-round. They’ve also got some other seasonal flavors, as well as Joffrey’s cold brew. And if you wanna munch, they’ve got donut holes for breakfast, too!

Read Our Latest Nutella Waffle Sandwich Update!

If lines aren’t your thing and you’re okay with a smaller menu, try some coffee from one of these spots! Let us know YOUR favorite places to snag a cup in Magic Kingdom, and stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.

This is NOT A Drill — Casey’s Corner Is Setting Up To Reopen in Disney World!

Things at Disney World are quickly returning to pre-closure normals.

Is Casey’s Corner reopening soon?

We’ve seen the end of temperature checks, the end of required face coverings in most locations, the return of crowds, and the return of shows AND ride pre-shows. And soon, fireworks will light the skies over the World again.

Some restaurants have yet to reopen, including one of our favorite places to grab a hot dog and corn dog nuggets (with plastic CHEESE!). But we’re starting to see signs that this restaurant, Casey’s Corner, maybe reopening its doors soon at Magic Kingdom. AND WE HAVE SO MANY EMOTIONS.

Today, we saw chairs added to the tables at Casey’s for the first time in over a year! The tables showed up here a few weeks ago.

Seating is back at Casey’s!

Just a few days ago, we spotted some menu changes for Casey’s, which also indicates the location could throw its doors open to guests again soon. But this seems to be further proof that Disney World is setting it up to reopen soon — or so we hope! We also noticed that the black drapes over the doorways inside the restaurant are now gone. It looked like this most recently:

Black drapes over doorway

Today, it looks like this!

NO drapes!

We can’t begin to tell you how happy this makes us! Although we could still get our Corn Dog Nuggets at Westward Ho, it just wasn’t the same. Plus we’re ready for some hot dogs — we’ve had some fun ones here, including a Loaded Mashed Potato Hot Dog and a “Cheetos” Hot Dog. We are ready to order!

We are ready!

Disney World has not officially released a reopening date for Casey’s, and when we checked the official website for the restaurant, no hours are listed for any upcoming dates. But this is surely a sign that we’ll be munching on some hot dogs at Magic Kingdom again soon, right? Fingers crossed! 🤞 We’ll keep an eye out, though, and let you know when Casey’s officially reopens!

RUMOR: Lengthy Refurbishment of Spaceship Earth Will Still Happen Soon at EPCOT

spaceship-earth-lucite-pylons-entrance-fountain-featured-image-hero-epcot-06082021

EPCOT fans have been on an emotional roller coaster ride with the imminent Spaceship Earth refurbishment as part of the park’s impending overhaul. Disney then formally announced the project at the 2019 D23 Expo, later providing a teaser and new tagline for the attraction. Finally, in early 2020, a closure date was announced. Then […]

PHOTOS: Some FastPass+ Kiosks Uncovered in Magic Kingdom

fastpass-kiosks

Some FastPass+ kiosks in Magic Kingdom have been uncovered, suggesting the line-skipping service may soon return. A handful of the kiosks were uncovered in Tomorrowland, with the screens on and operating on a few of them. Though the green light came on when we tapped our MagicBand and Apple Watch, nothing happened on the screen so we weren’t able to actually book FastPasses. FastPasses have been unavailable since Walt Disney World reopened last summer while capacity was lower and physical […]
