Casey’s Corner is a fan favorite spot that we love here at DFB! Located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, this spot serves up some seriously delicious corn dog nuggets, hot dogs, and of course, PLASTIC CHEESE!

Casey’s is BACK!

Recently, Disney announced the return of this beloved Magic Kingdom spot! And today, we’re FINALLY back at Casey’s you guys!! Come along with us as we show you the reopened hot dog spot.

Casey’s Corner reopened this morning with the help of their amazing Cast Members! They even threw out the first pitch to get the party started. A tradition we were SO excited to witness!

They then got the crowd all hyped up before opening the doors!

Finally, the doors opened, and we walked back into the plastic cheese palace and up to the counter to get our mobile order.

Then we headed out front to sit with a great view of Cinderella Castle and started chowing down!

Of course we got all of the greatest hits, including CORN DOG NUGGETS (and plastic cheese, duh.)!

We’re SO excited!

We also scooped up a giant All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog that we drenched in plastic cheese and ketchup with a side of fries…

Just perfect!

…and the Chili-Cheese All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog…

Isn’t it lovely?!

…and a giant Baseball Brownie!

Literally the size of a baseball, if not bigger!

We also ordered the famous Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade to wash all this goodness down with.

So refreshing!

The Disney Cruise Line has been on an extended hiatus due to health and safety concerns. But with recent developments in Florida, cruises could be setting sail in the coming months.

The Disney Cruise Ship Dream at Castaway Cay

With Disney Cruise Line’s June 29th test sailing being postponed, another change has also come to the Disney Cruise Line’s payment policies.

For the remainder of the 2021 cruises, Disney Cruise Line will be extending its arrangements regarding final payment dates for more cruises. Previously, we had shared that guests with cruises booked through September 2021 would be able to make their final payment up to 60 days before sailing (as long as they were booked in an unrestricted stateroom category).

Now, for all sailings through December 31st, 2021 (extended from September 2021), guests will be able to make their final payment until up to 60 days prior to sailing, provided they are booked in unrestricted stateroom categories.

What does this mean for you? It means that if you had a cruise booked for later this year, you’ll now have the benefit of not having to make your final payment up until 60 days prior to sailing. This can give you a bit more time to decide whether or not you want to change your cruise plans.

No cruise trip is final until that final payment is made. With the ever-changing conditions of the world and the changing status of Disney Cruise Line’s availability, having the opportunity to not make that final payment up until 60 days before your trip can really come in handy.

Additionally, the cancellation fee schedule has also been relaxed for further into the year. Previously, we had shared that it was relaxed through September. Now, the relaxed cancellation fee schedule has been extended for all sailings through December 31st, 2021.

Specifically, for all sailings through December 31st, 2021, the cancellation fee has been relaxed from beginning as early as 119 days prior to sailing to beginning 59 days prior to sailing for guests in certain room categories. You can see full information below.

Cruise Date Flexibility has also been extended for more cruises. For any sailings booked by July 31st, 2021, scheduled to sail on or before December 31st, 2021, guests will be able to change their sail date up to 15 days prior to departure.

Another development with Disney Cruise Line is the appearance of blackout dates for the Onboard Booking Credit, with multiple dates in November and December not offering the last-minute booking discount across the whole cruise line.

With all the reopenings happening around Disney World, there’s some entertainment coming back as well!

Celebration of The Festival of The Lion King

We’ve already seen the Festival of the Lion King return. Now another favorite from Disney’s Animal Kingdom is coming back — but not where you’d expect them!

Wassalou is a contemporary Afropop band that performed daily in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Harambe Village. You might have seen them performing on the stage close to the entrance of Kilimanjaro Safaris! They haven’t been performing there recently, as they stopped performances due to health and safety precautions. But they’ll be coming back soon! Just not to the same stage…for now.

Instead, the group will be performing at Disney Springs!

Although they haven’t released details of the time or locations, Wassalou announced that they will be in the Springs on July 1st, 17th, 20th, and 29th!

There’s usually a lot of live music going on at the Springs, so we’re excited to see more return! If you’ll be in Disney Springs on those dates, keep an eye out for the band so you can hear their fun, upbeat music again!
