Spending a day in Magic Kingdom is one of our favorite ways to pass the time.

Moana Balloon

We just visited Magic Kingdom and wanted to share some updates with you, so here we are with all the latest news in construction and merchandise from the Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom Construction Update

Fantasyland

In Fantasyland, the scrim surrounding Peter Pan’s Flight was removed, though the temporary sign is still there.

Peter Pan’s Flight

The colors look so bright and vibrant and really liven up Fantasyland!

Look at those colors!

We’re are not disappointed to finally bid farewell to the brown scrim.

No more brown scrim!

We spotted something a little off on Cinderella Castle.

Can you see it?

A blue piece of the 50th anniversary decoration fell off. Oops.

A 50th anniversary decoration fell off!

Frontierland

Over at Splash Mountain, the Laughing Place Play Area has reopened!

The Laughing Place

And speaking of Splash Mountain, every row is now being filled.

They are now filling every row!

They are also back to filling up the raft to Tom Sawyer Island.

Adventureland

Near the Jungle Cruise, ropes have been removed from the stairs.

The ropes are gone!

The area is no longer being used for stroller parking and it feels so much more open!

So much more space!

Over by Pirates of the Caribbean, we spotted the gate open between Pirates League and Pirates Bazaar for the first time since Disney World reopened in July 2020.

The gate is open!

And at the Tiki Room, Cast Members let us know that you can eat inside the theater again, including Dole Whip or, better yet, Kakamora!

Tiki Room

Main Street, U.S.A.

At Curtain Call Collectibles, there’s a new sign advertising prices and services.

Here’s a closer look!

Various Locations

Throughout Magic Kingdom, we noticed that the some of the social distancing signs that have been on trash cans have been removed, though not from all the trash cans.

No social distancing sign

PHOTOS: Pooh Corner Gift Shop Reopens at Disneyland Park

pooh corner

The Pooh Corner gift shop has reopened in Critter Country at Disneyland Park. Pooh Corner is next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Physical distancing measures ended a week ago at Disneyland Resort, so there are no markers inside the store. Guests can choose from a selection of delicious treats. There is a plexiglass divider at the checkout counter.

TIMEKEEPING: 1991 – Walt Disney World’s 20th Anniversary… IN SPECTROMAGIC!

22-1991-thumb-9043342

1991 was another year of expansion at Walt Disney World. While the older portions would see some minor changes, the resort also saw some new and memorable additions. New parades rolled down Main Street U.S.A, new shows debuted at Disney-MGM Studios, and new hotels greeted guests for the first time. These new offerings would see varying levels of success. Some only lasted six weeks, while others continue to operate today, 30 years later. Magic Kingdom On Main Street, the Emporium […]

What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: MORE Pre-Shows Return And a $100 (!!) Marvel Toy

Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Things are starting to look a bit more normal in the park as pre-shows return to more rides and we’ve got plenty of other dining and merchandise updates to share! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s jump right on in!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Food Updates

Hollywood & Vine

Since March, guests have been able to enjoy breakfast with some Disney Junior characters at Hollywood & Vine for Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine. And, now there’s another character dining experience at the restaurant for lunch and dinner! Minnie’s Summer Dine has arrived for the season and guests can now meet Minnie Mouse and friends while they enjoy a meal.

There’s a NEW dining experience in town…well kind of!

Keep in mind that there are a few modifications to the character dining experience at Hollywood & Vine including an a la carte menu instead of buffet service and distanced character interactions.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates

Keystone Clothiers

Of course, we had to do some shopping while we were at Disney’s Hollywood Studios too! So, we stopped into Keystone Clothiers and noticed a new Dr. Strange collectible toy for all the Marvel fans out there. It’s got a Dr. Strange figuring with all the accessories that helped him in the Battle on Titan.

New Dr. Strange Toy

But, it’s going to cost ya if you want to wield the powers of the mystic arts — this toy is priced at $99.99 (seriously!!).

Once Upon A Time

Over at Once Upon a Time, we found some unexpected Star Wars Wishables. Now there are three of the plushes that were included in the blind pack hanging on the rack so you can pick up RX-24, C-3PO, or a Stormtrooper without having to put your luck to the test.

More Star Wars Wishables!

They cost $12.99 each.

Mickey’s of Hollywood

We’ve also been seeing quite a few price increases on merchandise throughout Disney World, and this week we spotted another. Disney nuiMOs Plushes came onto the scene in 2021 and if you’re hoping to snag one of the miniature posable plushes, it’s going to cost you more now.

Disney nuiMOs Plushes

The nuiMOs Plushes used to cost $17.99 but now cost $19.99 both in stores and online.

©Disney

That being said, there is still one way to score them at a discount — all Disney nuiMOs are Buy Two, Get One FREE on shopDisney right now, so you can bring the cost down to about $13 per plush if you get three online!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Miscellaneous Updates

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

We’ve been keeping you up to date on all the pre-shows returning to Disney World, and this week we found that the band was BACK together for the pre-show at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

They’re baaaaack!

Previously, the recording studio was just a part of the line that you walked through, but now guests are directed into the room by Cast Members and asked to fill in the available space before all the members of Aerosmith come out to invite you to their show.

The pre-show room has some space still

Of course, you still need to hop in that super speedy stretch limo to get there in time.

Read MORE About the Return of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Pre-Show HERE!

Tower of Terror

And, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster isn’t the only ride with a returning pre-show! Over at Tower of Terror, guests are gathered into the library for the pre-show to learn all about the Twilight Zone and the unfortunate events that have led you to use the service elevator to get to your room.

Guests stand outside of the library waiting for the pre-show doors to open

Much like other pre-shows that have returned, Disney has removed the distancing markers from the floor, and guests are asked to stand wherever there is space.

Welcome to the twilight zone

And, once on the ride, we noticed that they’re now seating guests in every single seat in the elevator.

Now seating in every chair

So, this ride is almost entirely back to its normal operations before the parks closed.

Pluto Getting Guests

We also spent some time roaming around the park and noticed a new Disney character out playing on the lawn in front of The Hollywood Brown Derby — Pluto!

Look at that skill!

He was showing off his skills and balancing his bone on his nose.

New Billboard

And, on our way out we noticed a new billboard in the Hollywood Studios parking lot adverting Disney’s new show When Nature Calls with Helen Mirren.

New parking lot billboard!

The comedy series is on ABC every Thursday and you can catch up with this little squirrel on the latest episode!

And that’s it for another week at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for new food, merchandise, and entertainment updates (and more!) so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
