For Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 50 new gold statues will debut throughout the theme parks. The “Disney Fab 50” of course includes Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who will be in front of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle shared closeup images of the Mickey and Minnie statues. According to Disney Parks Blog, there will be “surprising” ways to interact with these 50 sculptures.

We’ve got BIG news for those traveling to Disney World later this year!

As you’ve probably heard, Disney World will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. On October 1st, 2021 the 18 MONTH-long festivities will begin for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration“. The celebration includes special transformations coming to the parks’ icons, new outfits for Mickey & Minnie, and a whole lot more. And now, we’ve got MORE BIG NEWS about the Anniversary!!!

Disney World just announced that The World’s Most Magical Celebration will feature a BRAND-NEW nighttime spectacular in Magic Kingdom called Enchantment!

This new 50th Anniversary show won’t debut in Magic Kingdom until October 1st, so you’ll have to wait a little bit longer to check it out!

Keep in mind that the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular will return to Magic Kingdom on July 1st though, so if you’re heading to Disney World this summer you will have the chance to enjoy that.

EPCOT is undergoing a LOT of changes.

An expansion at the France Pavilion — including the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction — will open on October 1st, and construction continues on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the new Space 220 restaurant. But there’s something else on the way: an all-new nighttime spectacular! And now, we finally know when this new show — Harmonious — will light up the skies.

The new Harmonious show will feature fireworks, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving lasers, fountains, and more. That’s some serious tech right there!

Harmonious will incorporate Disney music with classic songs reinterpreted and presented by diverse cultural musicians from around the world in keeping with the international celebration that is EPCOT’s World Showcase.

We’ve been watching the progress on this show as the barges and centerpiece for the special effects have made their way out onto World Showcase Lagoon.

We’ve also watched as a number of effects and aspects from the show have been tested. And while many may not like how these barges look during the day right now, we’ve been wondering when we’ll be able to actually see all this innovation put to work at night. And now we have our answer!

Disney JUST announced on Good Morning America that EPCOT’s new Harmonious nighttime spectacular will debut on October 1st, 2021, just in time for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

October 1st is going to be one BIG day with the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, La Creperie de Paris, some booths at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, (now) Harmonious, and more!
